This review is specifically about my interaction with (lack of) service seat warmer Andrew J. I had an appointment at 10a and was told I should exit at 11:15a which prompted me to wait on the repair. As 11:45a approached, I inquired to be given no information regarding my car being parked exactly where I placed it and my paperwork still sitting on his desk. He remained unapologetic and had it not been for THREE service oriented employees who stepped in to assist, I may still be there despite asking for my key. What a waste of 2 hours with an appointment! The best part is that he blamed the service manager, Nick, as to why my car remained untouched. My appointment was at 10:00. I arrived a bit early and stated that I will be waiting for it because it's was just a wheel rotation and balance. I had a coupon for this service. The work was not started until at 12:48. At 1:36, I received inspection results that stated I need a new tire on the drivers side and another recommendation for a wheel balance of over $400 dollars. By this time I didn't want any additional work that would take more time because it had been 3 1/2 hours already. So the attendant let them know I was not going to address those areas today. So I continued to wait thinking they were working on the work I made the appointment for. I had a Doctors video appointment at 2:00pm so I stepped outside to prepare to get online. I notice my phone battery was low after 4 hours, so I stepped back in to check on my car status and the attendant said, "here are your keys, the shop couldn't do the original work because I didn't buy a new tire, so I stated, "I waited four hours for nothing and she nodded, yes. This is poor service for Hennessy of Mazda. I will go elsewhere to have my vehicle serviced. read more

Took my car in with transmission issue dropped it off on a Friday and was told they may not get to look at it on Saturday and probably wouldn't be until Monday ... no big deal . I don't hear back from them until Wednesday afternoon and was told there was 5 things that needed to be repaired .I was told I needed new wiper blades I literally put a new pair on less the 3 weeks prior and then I had an issue with the tire gauge sensor which I knew I had but they wanted $155 dollars to fix then comes the transmission stuff .. I was told I needed new engine mounts a new drive shaft and then a total new transmission all of these services totaled around $5500 dollars . I declined service took the car to a local mechanic and had all of my issues fixed for $550 tax included this service department is a shame read more

The salesperson was very patience with us since I tend to be picky and fussy over cars and gave us more time to make the best decision to drive off the lot. Leased a 2019 CX 9 November 2019. Sales was great and finance was also great. I have no problem with that part of being a Hennessy Mazda customer. However, the first time today dealing with their service department. I called and told them my issue which is a defective infotainment screen that cracked. Their tech looking at my car and their "expert" opinion is that I damaged the screen and they would not cover the damage I CAUSED under the cars warranty. I was told by Shay over the phone that I would need to pay out of pocket. That car is garage kept and taken car of very well. There is ZERO evidence that I caused this. There are no signs inside or outside the car of any damage. It's in the same condition today than when I drove it off the lot except a cracked screen. This is very insulting and after doing research, Mazda has had these same problems with my model as well as the other CX series. I have leased 8 cars and financed many more. This is the only time that I was accused of damaging a car and not a financed but a lease car where I'm even more responsible for the care of the car. As soon as I got off the phone an offical complaint was filed by me with the BBB. This is an easy fix for the dealership to handle but instead they are turning a great buying experience into blaming the customer for something that didnt happen. Went in with the lowest of credit score low 500, that I knew I would walk out crying or just locked in a car loan that would make me feel truly overwhelmed, but I didn't. I spoke with Chris who later turned me over to Gerren Terrell and I walked out with a brand new car with a note I had to look over and over again to make sure it wasn't a joke. Yes, I'm serious about this, my note wasn't even in the 300s for a 2015 mazda3. I'm just sorry that it took me this long to tell you about the guys here. Its official, don't take your MAZDA to a place that sells other cars. This dealer has mazdas and a dedicated mazda side of sales but the service shop is not good. I have been going here for years and just now found that the service has fallen to the crapper since the expansion of building. I don't know about any of the other brands of cars service but MAZDA is horrible. I literally have records of service that almost always include crap that should have been addressed the previous time I visited. I literally had the service guy (David) tell me the mechanic didn't know what was wrong with my car before. Really, not even a suggestion? Then the next visit they actually had a suggestion and it was false.. I finally took it to a professional and was told a clear remedy for my problems. Never going back again! This place is the worst. The salesman lied from day one and continues to lie. I saw a car on the lot and had it inspected. Gave the inspection sheet to him and he wrote up a we owe slip. I said I wanted the repairs done before I bought the car. The liar named Keith Baker told me the repairs were done before I bought the car. When I bought the car, the only paperwork he gave me was the purchase agreement and 2 car fax reports. Two weeks later, the problem persist and Mr Baker says, let's schedule your repairs. They fixed the minor problem but didn't do anything to the major issue. I constantly called and was brushed off. It took months for him to provide me with any service records and conveniently couldn't find the we owe slip. Because the major issue was never fixed, I ended up on the side of the road and it cost me over $1000 to fix. When I finally got the we owe slip it was clearly doctored. The major issue was scratched out and the date on the slip doesn't coincide with the date of the inspection. I had previously spoken with the GM and he told me that they agreed to fix both issues but now, they claim no liability. Beware of the shady sales tactics cause once you buy from them, they get forgetful, can't find anything and don't have time for you cause they're always with another client. read more

We had an awesome experience at Hennessy Mazda! We had been to another dealership and called around to a few others, but Hennessy was the most responsive and worked hard to get us what we needed for the right price. I spoke with Kevin Johnston about trading in my CX9 for a CX5 and emailed him the particulars of what we were looking for as far as monthly payment, etc before we even arrived to make sure no one wasted anyone's time (I'm looking at you Jim Ellis in Chamblee wink wink). Kevin told me to come by that night and in a pretty short amount of time, I drove off the lot with my new CX5. He wasn't pushy and worked with us to get the monthly payment and down payment to almost exactly what we had asked for in the beginning... no other dealership in town worked with us like Hennessy did to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Customer service is top notch here-- from the sales staff to the finance department. Everyone was courteous, helpful and most importantly, interested in getting us the deal we wanted. I hope that they don't bait and switch the new cars like they do their used lot. Twice they proposed an offer on a car to me and then switched and apologized saying that they accidentally put the wrong car on (both times it was the same car with higher miles). I spent three hours in my bank attempting to get things rolling and approved through my bank, only to find out that they had messed up AGAIN for the SECOND TIME. First time I thought eh oh well its just an accident, but the second time and this time it was the manager????? Be cautious with them because they will try to pull this on you, I know dealing with car dealers/and salesmen can be this way and they are out to make money but I wouldn't return my business here...at least not to the used lot. read more

Honestly one of the best places we have ever been to and I would recommend it to anyone. Not only do they have the best deal on the car we got anywhere, but the customer service was phenomenal. Kevin Rainey was the one who took care of us and he just went above and beyond. Everyone there was friendly and treated us with respect. Went today to test drive a cx3. Was made to wait a long time for him to be found. I waited in the lobby for him for 15 minutes. He walked me to his desk and excused himself for another 15 minutes. He came back and said he was looking for the key. Duane Beard could not find the car, after leaving me waiting he finally drove me to recon center where he said car was located. I waited in care another 10 minutes while he looked for the car, only to find out the car was back at the lot the entire time. We drove back to lot, he could not find key to car, left me standing outside came back with wrong key twice. At this point it's been 2 hours and we have accomplished nothing. Sent me on test drive alone with some shaky directions on where to go and how to get back. He was not at all hospitable. I did not like the cx3 and he showed LITTLE to no interest in showing me other options. He was not knowledgeable and could care less if I bought a cart walked away. His service was lackluster at best! I explained I was pre-approved by my Credit Union and he made a really negative comment and sound, it was very discouraging and highly unprofessional about the bank and my choice. Not a good experience at all. I have bought cars before and remember car sales people being really attentive and accommodating. I have gotten my '16 mazda 3 serviced here twice and both times were nightmares. In the end ten hours sitting at the dealership and taking two days off work and the problem still persist. The first was a recall and after almost two hours when i got in my car i immediately noticed a new light on in the dash so I told the service adviser and ended up waiting another hour and come to find out the technician had "missed a step" and had to redo the process. I thought ok its fine people make mistakes no problem. Then the next week I came in to get a diagnostic had a noon appointment and was quoted an hour or two max. Living two hours away decided to wait at the dealership. Four hours later they told me they would get me an uber somewhere because they needed to keep the car overnight. He said he would call me in the morning and let me know when it would be done. The next morning between 11am-1pm I called 3 times, left messages, and even told the person that answered to have the service advisor to call me back but never heard anything. I finally just went back up to the dealership and they told me they were going to clean the fuel injectors and throttle body because they saw it on an online forum that could help the cold start issue i was experiencing. OK fine again two hour quote I stayed at the dealership another 5 hours before it was done. I took the car home and the next morning the same problem. So, in the end, two days and over ten hours waiting at the dealership and all the money spent nothing has been fixed. At this point, I don't even want to bring the car back to attempt to get the issue resolved because now I already had to miss two days of work and they obviously have no idea what the problem is. Wasted money and time. Next time I will drive further to a different Mazda dealership and hope for technicians that can diagnose and correctly efficiently fix problems with their brand. read more

What a nightmare this experience was. I was trying to buy a vehicle I had seen online. Dealership is 2 hours away and they advertise delivery. Worked out a price and completed my credit app online. Heard from nobody so call the next morning. Im told they never got it and to complete a 'different' one. I asked where my personal info from the online app went and was told they didn't know but they would get it all wrapped up and vehicle delivered to my door the next afternoon. Waited around and again heard nothing. Called back got a different guy who said finance would call right back. Again - I called back in 2 hours and now am told vehicle wont be delivered to me for 3 days. In house financing is a joke so I said I would get my own. I call back and advise I have financing in place only now to be told there is this issue and that. Long story long - 4 different people, all have different stories, none know what the other has said. Something was VERY shady here so I tool my financing and went to another dealer the next day. No issues whatsoever. I will never buy or recommend Hennessey to anyone. read more

I love my Mazda, and up until this experience, I have used this dealership to perform my routine oil changes and other scheduled maintenance. Now the vehicle is out of warranty and we had a check engine light (CEL) come on. I pulled the code myself and it ended up being a fuel lean code in bank 2.No big deal, but I didn't have time to mess with it. I wish I had found the time. My first bill was for 655.00 bucks which encompassed a MAF sensor change, new plugs, a "tune up" and supposed cleaning of the throttle body. I do my own maintenance on my Cobra, but i have two jobs and no time, so I let them do it. My issue isn't with the cost of the first repair, if it had fixed the issue. No, we drove it home and the CEL came back on, before we made it home. Back to the shop. Today I get a call and I am told the MAF needs to be replaced and it will be 400 plus tax. I say, wait, how is this possible, since I have the old MAF in my hand (I asked for it back) and my previous bill shows a MAF change out? Then I get some double talk that it really was the O2 sensor. All they are doing is throwing parts and super expensive labor and not properly troubleshooting the issue. THIS IS COMPLETE BS. The only problem is that I know a thing or two about cars, otherwise, I would be taken to the cleaners. I am waiting on a response from service now. As mad as I am at how this has gone down, the people in the service department, up front, are always nice and very professional. But being in a grand and no guarantees, is terrible. Hennessy, you should be ashamed if this is how you treat a customer, especially, loyal and consistent customers. I will update this post as events warrant. read more

After we left we got an email 3 days later saying they were dropping the price a thousand dollars. Don't use Hennessy Mazda's Service Department unless you want to be overcharged and like putting your car in the hands of an organization that has no accountability. They performed routine maintenance on my 3 year old car along with a recall. 10 days later my car experienced catastrophic engine failure. I called the service manager repeatedly over a 5 day period to discuss the issue. I was disconnected on several calls and never reached the service manager. I was able to leave messages for him on the calls where I wasn't disconnected, but I never received a call back. Finally, I called Mazda corporate. They were able to get someone to call me back....but it still wasn't the service manager. It was one of his coordinators who called to inform me that they couldn't do anything to help and had no responsibility. I drove it for 10 days after the service, so that must mean that they didn't make any mistakes...right. 3 years before Hennessy...no issues with car. A little more than a week after, I have to replace my engine. That is more than a coincidence. The shop that I took it to didn't not find any evidence of any outside damage that could have caused the failure. The only thing that makes sense is that something wasn't handled properly during the service or they missed a problem during the inspection. Given that they have to take off the intake plenum to replace the spark plug and several gaskets have to be replaced in that process....not to mention that they were replacing fluids and inspecting fluid levels, it seems very likely that something was missed. Instead of evaluating the car and taking an honest look to see if they had any accountability or looking at the circumstances to see if they could provide assistance, they circled the wagons and screwed their customer. I highly recommend taking your car to a reputable service provider...which is not Hennessy Mazda! read more
