The food is either bland and flavorless or doesn't taste remotely like the food item it's supposed to be. I had ordered my son a slice of meatloaf and what I received was more of a Salisbury steak type ordeal with a really odd flavored gravy. My only regret is I did not hear about this place sooner. We went on a Saturday when they offer the buffet. The price is very reasonable for the what you end up getting. Every item I tried on the buffet was delicious. Dessert is included and they encourage you to get it to go so you don't have to worry about saving room. My favorites were the fried chicken, corn pudding, sweet potatoes, pulled pork, and jambalaya. When I first walked in, I wanted to turn around. Goofy sports curtains, a Malcom X poster, horrible gospel type music being performed outside. I was wrong. I stop here for one thing. Pork. I've tried chopped or "pulled pork" at almost every place that serves it. This place is the best I've ever had. A perfect amount of smoke. A perfect ratio of fat to meat makes it very tender and juicy. A few little burnt pieces mixed in gives it the final punch. Wasn't a huge fan of the sides and my friend complained that his brisket was dry. The staff and owner are always friendly and don't shy away from talking to their customers. Good Lord! Beef brisket sliced on a deli slicer. Cut so thin it melts in your mouth. We arrived around 11am, we didn't know Henri doesn't open til noon. Didn't matter! Henri was gracious enough to open up for us and our lunch was fantastic. It's BYOB too. Oh and the portions are huge, price is cheap and food is good! Loved this place! My first time visiting on Saturday, and I really dread going to Hammonton usually but was so glad I went. I got the buffet that is available on weekends only. Everything I had was really great my favorite was the crab bisque I was a little concerned when dishing it out because it looked watery but don't fret it packs in quite a flavor. All the meats were good, and the sweet tea was out of this world flavorful! I don't even like sweet tea but I had a sip of my boyfriends and had to get my own it was so good. My fiancé and I dined in on a Sunday after a long day of kayaking. We decided we would try the Buffett, there were so many options to choose from all of which was super fresh. My favorite was the baked ziti, ribs, and of course the Mac and cheese just to name a few. But the fried chicken was just to die for! A very solid option for an all you can eat BBQ buffet. The place is small, but very cozy. Coffee was good. Things I loved: spare ribs, meatloaf, jerk chicken, smoked chicken pasta salad, and the #1 chili was very good. I wished there was brisket as was on the menu but otherwise the food and the price were very satisfying. The icing on the cake is that the buffet came with banana bread pudding yet you also get a homemade dessert to take home as you slowly emerge from your food coma. I liked it here. The food was good for the most part - Mac and cheese, baked beans. I wasn't crazy about the ribs. Barely any meat on them. I would give this place another shot, maybe try the brisket or pulled pork. The service was very friendly here, so that's a plus. Good home style southern cooking in South Jersey. A couple of friends told us about this place so we decided to give it a try. Nothing fancy here just good ole southern food and hospitality. When we walked in we were greeted by many smiling faces and were told to sit anywhere. Our waitress was very friendly and made us feel at home right away. I ordered the whiting while my wife and mother-in-law took to the buffet. They both seemed to enjoy the selections that were available and it seemed like a really good selection of food. My whiting was cooked perfect. The coating was very light and the fish inside was nice and tender. My sides were collards and mac n cheese. The collards were awesome and plentiful. The mac n cheese was good (not the best I've had) but decent. The place itself is nothing fancy, paper plates and plastic utensils, but who cares when you have good food and good service. read more

EXCELLENT!! Never knew this gem even existed until today and we live very close by. We got the buffet; complete with bbq, jerk and fried chicken, pulled pork, ribs, yams, greens, corn pudding, Mac & cheese, green beans, coleslaw, macaroni salad, etc. Everything we had was delicious; wonderfully seasoned and fresh. My husband and I have been looking for a good BBQ place since we moved here from Louisiana, New Orleans area a year ago. And we've found it at Henri's. They have a bbq buffet and the food was amazing. My husband loves the bbq chicken. And the ribs. But my favorite thing was the fried chicken. I know, fried chicken at a bbq joint? But it is the best fried chicken I've had since we've moved here. It is so good I think it is better than most places in New Orleans. And the sides. The corn pudding, the whipped sweet potatoes, the bbq beans, the collard greens, the Mac n cheese, the black eyed peas and the list goes on. Dessert comes with the buffet. Amazing BBQ! Luckily my husband heard of this place from a friend. We happened to go on a Saturday around 4pm, which was during their buffet hours (Sat-Sun 12-6pm). The owner was very nice and suggested the buffet to us since this was our first time there and actually told us it'd be the best option because the buffet was $14.95 and the platters cost more than that. We got way more bang for our buck with the buffet! The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. The buffet had a wide range of BBQ and a ton of side dishes as well. All were so flavorful and amazing. Everything was homemade. I was so glad for the buffet because I had multiple servings of the collard greens, Mac and cheese, and the cornbread. But the service sucks - every time I go in there to eat - they make me feel like I don't belong there - but they enjoy catering to the other folk - las time I checked my money is green just like there's... We have been to Henri's three times. They do an all you can eat buffet on the weekends. The corn pudding is an amazing cross between bread pudding and creamed corn. Wow. The old adage is the worse looking a BBQ joint is, the better the food. Well, Henri's is not fancy nor beautiful to look at, but boy is it good! We came on a June Friday night for the BBQ buffet, and it was worth every penny and more of the $15.95 price. They had all the standard meats except brisket, and they all excelled. The ribs, BBQ chicken, fried chicken, and pulled pork were all to die for, and the selection of sides was enormous. I especially loved the marshmallow-ed yams. Plus don't skip the banana pudding tucked away in the salad bar. Service was extra friendly especially for us first timers. Only slight negative: the desserts were not the greatest, but hey - who could eat dessert after that meal! Henri's - we'll be back. read more

The meatloaf was just like grandmom used to make and the pulled pork with some burnt ends topped with their bbq sauce is out of this world! The crab bisque is more a crab soup but had nice pieces of jumbo lump crab with an amazing broth! The rolls are hot and soft and you get a nice piece of homemade desert to take to go! Everything was really a joy to taste. They have a cute sports theme with different pictures and memorabilia covering the walls of an old fashioned looking southern bbq joint. Motown playing in the background made you feel like you were at a family reunion! The weekend buffet is worth every penny for $14.95 and a nice drive along the way!
