Ate at this location yesterday morning as soon as they opened for breakfast.The food was absolutely delicious and wonderful.However,I was a bit disappointed and somewhat confused and even annoyed at the fact that when I asked a question about a certain breakfast item,that one of the employees directly told me that they couldn't speak English.Also,I do not like the fact that the food item signs,are so small that you need a magnifying glass in order to read them.My AARP card wasn't honored either,and I presented it to the cashier upon arrival,but she seemed confused and absolutely bewildered.The server however was quite professional and I just gave her a $50.00 tip just because she was. read more

Every now and then I enjoy Golden Corral, primarily for the salad bar and to sample desserts. My favorite branch is in Kennesaw, GA. The worst -- a step ahead of the health department -- is in Fort Myers, FL. Bensalem falls somewhere in between. They had no field greens, my favorite component of a salad. Other items on the bar looked 'tired.' (I don't think salad is too popular a station here.) The fried chicken I tried was dry. My husband, favoring legs and thighs, said the dark meat was pretty good. Broccoli, to my delight, was 'al dente' not the overcooked mush typical of buffets. According to the manager whom I chatted with, this is one of three Golden Corrals in the country that serves liquor. Will not go back. Haven't been here in ages but we saw a "memory " pop up on FB from awhile back and decided to give them a try again. Was a Thursday night and not particularly busy at all. No one to seat you unlike previous visits. But as it wasn't busy we had no trouble finding a table. As we were sitting down the waitress asked for our drink order. Sweet tea for me and water for her. Simple enough. First pass through the buffet was the "meat" plate. (Don't judge). Tried the fried chicken, steak, and pot roast. Chicken - while the crust was ok, the whole thing was extremely greasy. Almost like it came right out of being submerged in a deep fryer and tossed right on the plate. Literally had grease leaking. Not dripping. Steak. While the seasoning was decent the medium rare was definitely subjective. Very well done is closer to the fact. Pot roast. Yuck. Absolutely yuck. The meat was extremely tender but the taste was terrible. Next plate veggies - the brussel sprouts were decent. Okra was fried too long and very rubbery. The green beans were decent as well. Tried a couple of carrots from the pot roast - still yuck. Last plate desserts. Not a big choosing. No longer have the chocolate fountain. Tried the strawberry cheesecake and it was very very dry. I also had a small bowl of soft serve that fortunately I put strawberry sauce on so the combination was better. Service- after initial drink order, was almost non existent. I asked for a refill and waited almost 15 minutes for it. Yes. 15 minutes. Table next to us used the spoons at the dessert station as they never got silverware. So my and I dines here 1st June before heading to the Joss Stone concert. We hadn't been to G.C. in quite some time. Atmosphere: brinlght, busy and loud! I know , I know, why a buffet? It's not clean.... well, G.C. have plastic partitions and gloves for you to use at the serving stations. Their stations were clean. They now offer alcohol beverages! We could not believe it!! Awesome!!! There was a patio where you could sit. We dined inside at first, but the air was on the Arctic setting, so we moved outdoors. The grills are nasty my family and I went yesterday to eat and when we walked inside the cashier tried to rip us of they will try to add on the bigger drinks and if you don't know about the menu they will get you so now let's get to the restaurant itself it smelled like the bathroom door was opened so and this all while we wee waiting to get seated so once we got to our table it was dirty halfway wiped down the place just need to be shut down because we at steak's and the grill was so dirty it our steaks smelled like fish was cooked on it it's unsanitary I don't want anyone else to get sick from eating at this restaurant they need to shut them down and when they open back up it should be an all new staff they don't even wear hair nets it's just nasty in there read more

This Golden Corral is wonderful! I have eaten here many many times, mostly for breakfast after church on Sundays. Yes, the breakfast food is really good. But the staff are the real reason this place is so good. The people who work here are friendly and cheerful and helpful and just downright nice people. And very hard working. Everyone from the person who rings you up when you first come in, to the super nice girl who seats you, to the waitresses, to the cool guy who makes all the custom omelettes ... they're all great folks! The food is really really good. I love that they make custom omelettes for you. And that there is always so much crisp bacon available. And the blueberry pancakes ... omg! And the French toast is perfectly made. And just this morning I discovered that they have grits, and I love those, too! I always walk out of here so extra full of really good food. I will also note that the whole place is kept really clean, and the seats and tables are placed so that there's plenty of room around you so people can walk by your table without crowding you or bumping into you as you're eating. I will keep coming back here for breakfast on Sundays, and I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast buffet. read more

IT WAS and they have much nicer crew working there now. The young manager had done a great job turning this place around. You definitely get your money's worth going to the GC in Bensalem. I could feel my arteries harden just pulling into the parking lot. This is XXL dining for an XXXXL clientele. Trays of unrecognizable foodstuffs steaming in anger from chafing dishes hissing their disapproval. Steak. Surely you jest. Salad. Not in this lifetime. Soup. Perhaps, but I'm scared. Fried chicken. Passable. But do I really want to touch any of the community spoons and ladels without a fresh booster shot. In all fairness, the desserts were very tasty but otherwise, why would I ever return to this community trough if not to insult my immune system. Whenever I drive past Golden Corral, I'm alway wondering who's keeping the place in business. It's so interesting. The wait was over 30 minutes but I was determined to try it out at least once. We waited for close to 50 mins. Never again waiting that long. We paid in front before getting in line and entering the buffet dining area. It's really simple and plain decor. Really straight forward like you know what you're getting. Besides water, you have to order the other beverages in the front when you paid. Food was ok! A lot of it was mediocre buffet food. A lot of meat were over-seasoned and salty. The veggies were good in flavor but a lot of them were either drowned in butter and bacon or mushy and over cooked. The soft serve machine was broken. A classic you get what you paid for. A quick eat and get out spot. A lot of children running around without adults. Could potentially be a good affordable spot for hosting a large party. On my way to this location, I had a glow in my eyes and a skip in my step. I was excited to embark on a journey of flavor and discovery, with 5 of my ethnically ambiguous friends. Upon consuming my first (of 6) plates, I lost the glow. I lost the skip. I lost the magic. My ethnically ambiguous friends said I looked like "all of my good childhood memories were replaced with the collared greens from Golden Corral". I feel as if I lost a part of myself in that Golden Corral. The food sucked a part of my soul out of me. Calling it bland would honestly be a lie. Maybe it was because I was there on a Wednesday evening, and the dining rooms were not crowded, mirroring the condition of the large buffet displays which were likewise limited in choice to few main courses, sides, breads and desserts, but there really wasn't much to enjoy about the dinner options that I had just paid in advance to consume, sight unseen. While $20 might have been reasonable for repeat visits to the buffet tables, that value proposition was shot to shit if the first rule of buffet dining was not accepted by the diner. Be prepared to chow down in extremis, or the whole thing is a waste. Healthy dining this is not. A half gone tray of meatloaf with choice of light/dark gravy, large pile of fried chicken as the only protein; a few macaroni/cheese elbows, Penni broccoli, mashed, stuffing and was that yams(?) as the heavy carb offerings, along with some nondescript bread; followed by copious amounts of jello, pudding, cookies, cheesecake squares and one last slice of dried out raspberry pie - all amounting to a heavy lugubrious carb centric plate. I neither wanted more after laboring through the first, nor would it have been wise for me to have attempted another helping. Beside that, that raspberry pie lacked any berries, but was a purple sweet colloid held in dry tasteless crust, and thus, without redemption. I just can't consume like that, nor was I really tempted to do so. But, I learned that my hunger is nothing compared to what the Golden Corral crowd is capable of. Perhaps that explains why almost everyone there wore elastic waist sweatpants. They knew what they were there for, while I learned the hard way that it doesn't pay for people without that corpus and habitude to so indulge. 7/2/22 was the first time I came here with my GF. It was 4th of July Weekend and it was crowded but I already knew it would be like the and it was hot that evening. I had been wanting to come to this restaurant. They used to have in Audubon, NJ (near me) but they closed and then the one Delran, NJ also closed. I thought the food was good. It wasn't spectacular. The staff was nice. I did call before I came just to see how much it would cost at dinner time and it was totally different. Overall I liked the food. This is a 2.5 star review. Been coming to this location for years. The prices have been kept reasonable for the exception of charging seniors $3 for a beverage. Recognise a waitress that's been there for as long as I've been coming there so that's something to consider. They've remodeled since the previous time I was here. Looks better and more importantly cleaner. The food is no different from the first time to the most current visit. Hot and plenty of all the standard items. Always enjoyed the pot roast, meatloaf and teriyaki chicken. The dinner yeast rolls are one of the favourites. The reason for this review is about the so called dessert bar. As disappointing as I can remember in any Golden Corral location. No chocolate fountain yet there were skewed strawberries, rice krispies and fudge brownies. All of ONE layer cake (Carrot). Rest were pudding, jellos and soft serve ice cream with toppings. No cheesecake or other layer cakes as at other GC locations. read more
