Dr. Kaw has been my primary physician for almost a decade since I moved to Fullerton. I switched to him after a bad experience with a St. Jude GP. What I like about Dr. Kaw is that it is easy to book an appointment with him and you don't have to wait for weeks on end like St. Jude. He quickly and accurately diagnoses any medical issues you may have and I appreciate his expedient, straightforward manner and friendly demeanor. His staff is also great as they are responsive on the phone and fill prescriptions quickly - sometimes while I'm still sitting in the office so that they're ready for pick up at CVS down the road after my appointments. He also went the extra mile in getting a prior authorization for meds approved from my insurance, who have been very challenging to deal with to say the least. If you're looking for a competent and reliable GP in North OC, give Dr. Kaw a call. read more

This is a second review. I wrote a review a few years ago, Dr. Kaw wouldn't see me because I had a $50.00 balance in which I told him I would pay when I went in. I've been seeing Doctor Kaw for a little over a year and a half and had helped me change my life. I've lost 115 lbs while seeing him and I will continue to see him because of how much he's helped me. His staff is always polite and they communicate very well even through text if you are unavailable by phone. The office has availability and the will help you get in if you need to reschedule. The office sends you multiple reminders through email and text about appointments. Yes there is a strict rescheduling policy but ALLLLL doctors office have that now and all office charge if you have a last minute change. I would highly recommend him. read more

I can't say enough bad things about this doctor and how he runs his office. It's amazing how little he cares about his patients and it's so ironic that he's a doctor. He's clearly not passionate about his job and he just wants a fast pay check. For you to be able to see him, it's $100 every visit and they won't give you any quotes even if you're paying out of pocket. They won't even help you prepare either, they just care about how much more they can charge you per visit. It's sickening! If I had known this is what my experience would be like, I would have went somewhere else. So, if you'd like to save time and find someone who genuinely cares, please go anywhere else! I've been a patient here for couple years and usually had a good rapport with the office and even with Dr Kaw. Ive been trying to make an appointment with them since last Friday and they've been ignoring my calls for couple of days and once I finally got in touch with the front desk they said because I was inactive last year (during my pregnancy) they will not be able to take me back as a patient. I understand that while they may want to keep patients who are more "active" but I was pregnant and seeing my OB regularly. What I didn't like is that they were not taking my calls back and blamed me for being inactive during my pregnancy as a patient. I highly recommend going to a different office if you're looking for a more personable experience. Don't come here if you're pregnant, they want patients coming in every month for reasons I do not know!! read more

You blocked my friend from yelp because she didn't give you a good review. I am your patient and neighbor and I stood before you right after I was bitten 5 to 6 times by a large dog and you told me to go home and take care of it myself. Then you closed your office door on me. This was 5 minutes before your opening time. I never yelped you for that, but now I will. You are uncaring and unkind. No one should go to you. Visit #1 in the year 2019: Needed blood work done. I got injected with a needle 7 different times in both the left and right arm. The nurse was incompetent in finding my vein and drawing blood. She was praying out loud to please be right this time. She had to call the other nurse to draw the blood after 10 minutes of stabbing the inside of my arms to which the older nurse drew my blood the first time around. I have gotten my blood drawn many different times throughout my lifetime. Every single time I've been very scared as this is my least favorite thing to do, and every single time the nurse drawing blood has done it correctly and quickly while keeping me calm and telling me afterwards that I have very easy veins to find and seem to be well hydrated. After getting my blood drawn at Dr. Kaw's, I felt the most nauseous and dizziest I've felt in my entire life. I never feel this way. I actually needed to wait in my car for about 20 minutes after waiting in their office for 10 minutes after getting blood drawn to feel good enough to function and drive home. read more

Do not go to this doctor. All he cares about is money. Long story short, I canceled my appointment over 48 hours in advance, he still charged me $50 late fee and removed me as his patient. When I called him, I was sent a voicemail and was sent a nasty text message about his policy and that he would perhaps take me back as a patient if I gave him my credit card information so he can charge me in case I had to cancel an appointment. I refused to do so and I requested my medical records, he refuses to send them to me. Do not go see this doctor. He does not care about his patience, he only cares about money. read more

I've been looking for an in-network PCP to establish care in the OC area, and my searches have lead me to Dr. Kaw and his team. Had my initial check up appointment, and everything has been great so far! Setting up the appointment, the front desk, the office setting, the staff as a whole, Dr. Kaw himself, all have been very friendly and very efficient! Dr. Kaw is a fast mover (I'm not sure if it was that day in particular, or how things are in general), but he was very clear in his communication, and I had the space to bring up any questions/concerns I had. I had some follow up questions after the appointment, and the staff answering the phones have been very friendly and helpful so far! I anticipate being a long time patient with Dr. Kaw and his team. My wife and I got Covid tests at their facility and have subsequently received our boosters. His office is unique. You walk into a converted 100 year home in Fullerton, and find an young energetic medical staff at work. They are friendly and proficient and my wait time was minimal. Its unfortunate the way patients are treated here. I had an appointment and was referred to surgery without prior checking of my condition, when I went to the referral the Surgeon had no idea why I was there and wasn't first checked and then referred to a specialist before ever getting to surgery. Appointments are rushed through. They will have no problem charging you a fee to move an appointment even when you call way before the 48 hour window, but will have no trouble when the Dr. fails to show up for Telehealth appointments at all. I've always been a kaiser patient so I never had to bother looking for a doctor nor understand what my insurance actually covers. I called here to ask my 1000 questions multiple times before making an appointment and the staff here was extremely patient and friendly and basically answered all my questions. My time with the doctor was pretty short as it was just a wellness checkup but honestly the doctor AND all the staff here is AWESOME and so knowledgeable and friendly. The facility is a little old but very clean and I was seen ON TIME and record blood work results, literally 24 hours later. I have been seeing Dr Kaw and his professional staff for at least six years. I originally came in as a referral from my Estitician for Botox injections. But that first visit I decided he would also be my new general practitioner. I felt so very comfortable with his concerned care about my general health. I went home, told my husband to start seeing Dr Kaw as well. His goal was to get me off of medications by helping me to lose weight. It started with intermittent fasting (lost 20 pounds) and then another 15 pounds recently with Gp-1 injections. I've gotten off most of my medications and I owe it all to him. My husband and I belong to an HMO group for a long time and never got quality PCP. Our switch to PPO and seeing Dr Kaw made all the difference with our health and weight loss journey. I personally started at 182 lbs and my husband at 225 lbs in November 2022 and both with high BP, high blood sugar and high cholesterol level. He placed me and my husband on a weight loss program, intermittent fasting while all along managing all our other medical condition. Fast forward to today, we are 40 lbs plus lighter and no longer on maintenance medication for cholesterol, blood sugar or blood pressure.
