I met with Dr. Jacobs on December 12 to go over the changes so we could get the ball rolling and not have a delay in my immune treatment which I require every 3 weeks to stay healthy due to a serious immune disorder. He assured me that it would be handled well. Then almost month later I call back and find out nothing has been done. The office didn't have a new script from the Dr. The contract worker they had hired to deal with insurance benefits at the office still didn't know I had a new pharmacy benefits provider. She was trying to order the old medication from the old benefits provider. So I spent the next two weeks on the phone for entire days - leaving messages, waiting on hold, coordinating between nursing staff (bc the dr was now on vacation), the independent contractor who didn't understand my insurance change, my pharmacy benefits provider and the pharmacy filing the order. Babysitting grown adults who are getting paid to apparently not do their jobs. The office at first admitted to dropping the ball, then they each slowly started to blame other people in the office and I realized what a toxic dysfunctional mess the whole operation was. Perhaps they once were good - the vast majority of these five star reviews are many years old. Today, I think they can handle routine allergy shots. That's their bread and butter. Anything more is a deep stretch for their abilities. In the end I finally got my medication two weeks late and it would have been even later if I hadn't borrowed a medical pump to use from a complete stranger. This was an incredibly stressful process that would have been avoided if people at this office understood how to do their jobs.

She checked me thoroughly and also asked me what treatments have worked in the past. It was nice to see that a doctor trusted that I might actually know somehting about my own body after 40+ years. We discussed a plan of action, she sent the prescriptions to my pharmacy and before I could drive across town they were ready and waiting for pick-up. I had a follow-up appointment two months later so we could discuss how the program was working and if any changes needed to be made. I requested a few changes and she agreed. I did not feel strung along with additional appointments. If you are unsure of what YOUR INSURANCE is not going to cover you should contact them in advance and let them know what you are going to see the doctor for. They can provide you with a quote. Be pro-active and you are more likely to save yourself some money and definitely have better overall health. Your doctor is your health advocate, not GOD. I would highly recommend Dr. Heo and look forward to continuing my relationship with her!

I actually chose a couple of doctors before but ended up canceling both times. Finally, after more searching, I found Dr. Kristina Hobson in Los Gatos. To be honest, when I first walked into her office, I was already looking for an excuse to cancel again. But once I spoke with her, I was really impressed with her knowledge and the way she explained everything, so I decided to keep my appointment. Today was my procedure at Silicon Valley Surgery Center, and I had such a great experience. The facility was clean, calm, and very nice. Every single person I interacted with was wonderful. From the front desk to Barbara, who helped review my paperwork everyone was kind and welcoming. My first nurse, Kay, was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and professional. When she went on break, Nicole took over she was also amazing. I'm not a fan of needles at all, but she did my IV so gently and with so much care. Then Kat, the third nurse, took me to the procedure room she was kind, calm, and very professional. Dr. Michael Block, the anesthesiologist, was excellent. He actually texted me the night before to ask if I wanted to review everything ahead of time or on the day of the procedure, which I really appreciated. We exchanged a few messages, and then he spoke with me again before the procedure and explained everything clearly. He was confident, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. In the procedure room, I fell asleep within seconds and woke up quickly afterward feeling great. Within about 30 minutes, I felt completely fine. I was even able to take calls and respond to emails. And now, about Dr. Hobson ,she is truly a 10 out of 10. Honestly, the entire experience was 10 out of 10. From the office to the surgery center, every single nurse and staff member was exceptional. I'm a very detail-oriented and perfectionist person because of my job, so I don't say this lightly. I am a 26-year-old with a LOT of complex health issues - chronic illness and pain, history of trauma (sexual violence and a traumatic assault where I survived being stabbed multiple times), and then at the beginning of 2021 I fell and severely injured my spine and tailbone. Dr. Jaime Young has always listened very intently and compassionately and gave knowledgeable suggestions for treatment options. I am very cautious about taking prescription medications and she has always answered all my questions transparently. She is very prompt with sending prescriptions, and she helped me get a disability placard for my car which was long overdue. I've had a lot of issues with my insurance, and changed insurance a few times since being her patient, but she and the office staff have always been patient and helpful in sorting it out. Dr. Anthony Jones is also wonderful, although I've never been seen by him personally, he has helped with approving an emergency refill on my prescription when Dr. Jaime Young was out of town and I had an insurance issue.
