The food was delicious! Slightly bummed they didn't have a chicken or turkey option. The portion sizes were perfect, the pricing fair. The service was fast and efficient. In and out in 20/25 mins. The interior could use an upgrade but we assumed maybe they were in the middle of re doing it? Regardless, this seems like a local place, removed from tourists. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch break!

Now inside a storefront in the same location. Great home style bbq! Tender pork ribs, tasty 3-cheese mac 'n cheese, and chopped brisket taco were my choices. Good value, flavorful and delicious. Service is prompt and polite.

Everything about this place is interesting. It's bright next to the airport. I don't even know how to describe the location. I arrived at 11:00, when they opened, and all their customers were businessmen who i'm guessing we're "in the know" for great barbecue joints in Austin. I got what I always get. The brisket, rib, sausage plate. If i'm gonna check out the barbecue joint i'm gonna check it out. All the food, everything I ate, was great. 2 slices, 2 ribs, 1 link, fresh corn off the cob, potato salad. A little overcooked and pricey. The meat fell off the bone, I mean fell off (over cooked). The plate and can of Coke was $26.

Here's my scenario. My girlfriend was on a 2 hour layover and I wanted to see if we could go on a BBQ adventure in an hour. Mission accomplished! BBQ downtown or on the eastside takes too long to eat and get back for a flight...Enter Henry's BBQ. Right on 71 in front of the airport about a half mile. Tiny truck in the back packing much flavor at a good price. This place is 100% good Texas eats! I should have taken more pics but I was anxious to eat! Here's my lunch list of what I had and how they rank: 1.Chopped meat taco with everything on it- Stole the show! 2.Cheesy Mac- White cheese shell mac with creamy goodness! 3.Pork Ribs- Damn Good! 4.Brisket- Great flavor 5.Jalapeno Sausage- Pretty good If you want a BBQ fix when you step off the plane, hit this spot up. If you don't want to stand in line for an hour for real deal BBQ, hit them up! Side note: I brought my own Lone Star Beer in the pic so I'm not sure you can BYOB but hey, it's Texas!

Straight off the plane and Henry's was the first stop. Two minutes from the airport, quick and friendly service, bomb food.

I had their brisket and ribs, which supposedly are their star dishes, and both weren't anything to write home about.

My sis and I ordered the ribs, brisket, chipotle sausage and turkey. For sides we got beans, potato salad and poblano slaw. Ribs were amazing, fall off the bone with great flavor! Brisket - great bark on them! Chipotle sausage was delicious- almost like chorizo! Not too spicy either. Turkey was good too. Juicy! Loved their poblano slaw - wasn't spicy just added a nice flavor. Potato salad - very mustardy which I love! Beans are black beans and have great flavor! Oh, and can you say free beer? Cuz they can. Service was quick. They were helpful in our decisions. It's pretty warm inside, we chose to eat outside even in the heat, but they have overhead fans on the patio!

During our visit another popular bbq spot we tried out was underwhelming so we were kinda hesitant. We just got half a lb of brisket & ribs and that was it. First bite of brisket we were in heaven ! So tender, juicy, & flavorful. We immediately ordered more brisket. What's so so helpful is ordering online and picking up. It's so convenient and much faster that waiting in line. Surprisingly there was no line when we went. With the online system you can order and show up whenever, they'll keep the bbq warm and serve you when you check in. Perfect classic sides with aesthetic art outdoors. This is real good quality bbq without being too fancy or over doing anything. Would love to come back

Austin Restaurant Week takes place from August 28th through September 13th. First stop...Rollin Smoke BBQ, located in the Chalmers building, which filled with a crowd of people. I ordered a pull pork sandwich, mac-n-cheese and banana pudding. The pulled pork sandwich was huge, which I shared with the hubs. Quite honestly, I was full after eating 1/4 of the sandwich, which had cabbage, pickles and of course the pork (not the typical stringy pork but chunks of pork bursting with smokey flavor). The mac-n-cheese was substantial with cheese filled shell pasta with a hint of a smokey flavor. So yummy...Well, I might have eaten "all" the banana pudding. This was not your typical banana pudding (dense and flavorful). I certainly understand why they run out of this dessert. Service was superb! Great dining experience...

I order a very nice lite afternoon snack, 1/2 lb of Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends, 1 Pork Sparerib, and a side of Boozy Brussels. The Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends which are tossed in bourbon sauce and smoked again for a tender meat candy-like finish which was quite to the contrary, not overbearingly sweet, just a hint. The first time that I went to Rollin' Smoke, I wanted to order the Pork Spareribs but they weren't available so that's when I was introduced to the Pork Belly Burnt ends so today, I ordered just 1 Pork Sparerib today which was good but not great, sadly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Boozy Brussel Sprouts which were smoked and flashed fried, a balsamic glaze with whiskey soaked raisins and parmesan. I am definitely returning to check out the Half Chicken Plate with 2 small sides that I eyeballed.

I wouldn't eat here again…read more I had high expectations with the good Yelp reviews. We ordered the ribs and the chicken quarter (which was more like a Cornish hen quarter because it was so small) The burnt end black eyed peas were we very spicy, which I like, but it was not noted and they were salty. We threw them away. I was not impressed and $7 for the chicken (see pic) is a crime when it's that tiny.

I ordered the pork ribs with black eyed peas and burnt ends, and everything was packed with flavor. The ribs were tender and well seasoned, about three in my order, and came with a tangy sauce , grilled toast plus pickled tomatoes and onions that were downright addictive. The Black Eyed Peas were bold and spicy, with chunks of smoky burnt ends mixed in. Definitely not shy on seasoning. They serve everything on compostable plates which I really appreciate. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. They mentioned the menu rotates often, so what's on today might not be there next time. Small batch, small menu, but worth it. The truck was set up at the brewery, so there's plenty of seating--inside, shaded, or in the sun--and drinks come from the brewery itself. Only reason I took off a star was the limited options, but overall, the food was fantastic. I'd absolutely come back to try more from their menu.
