Despite the rebuild, this place still maintains a no frills atmosphere with barely enough seating for 20 people inside and seven picnic tables outside. I think they missed a great opportunity to make this place even more inviting than before, but that's not the case. I have to give them high marks for the very discernible smoke rings in the meat, but their sides are average. There's also very little in the way of rub on the meats, not salty or peppery. Not a fan of their thick ketchup-like sauce either. Your drink choices here are either water or fountain drinks, but no alcoholic beverages. And keeping with the bare necessities business model, when it comes to checking out with a credit card, that will be handled on the cashier's cell phone. My advice, is to skip the sides and get the meat to go. This place is only open 3 1/2 hours on the weekdays and closed on weekends. That could be a good thing or not such a good thing. The latter seems to be more true. They do serve Myers Elgin sausage which means they don't make their own sausage here. As for the sides, they do not have any coleslaw, their potato salad tastes as is if it comes from Walmart and their beans are pretty mediocre with no trace of brisket. They do offer some green beans, but they looked unappetizing. I got the $25 three meat plate (it should have been half that price) and it only came with one measly pork rib. The brisket was fairly decent, but the smoke ring was barely discernible and you don't get much. The one rib they gave me was the star of the show on the plate, but like I said, they just give you one rib (and they expect a tip for this). Their barbecue sauce is thick and definitely on the sweet side which may appeal to some but not to all. They do have some soft drinks and iced tea, but no beer. I opted for a cup of water which will cost you 25 cents. They do offer some other options, such as breakfast tacos, catfish, and some other fried items, but they are primarily barbecue oriented. So based on that premise alone, I would scratch this place off your "must try" Texas barbecue list. I hate to run contrary to all those four and five star yelpers, but this place just does not compare to any of the other better barbecue places around. Even Bill Miller bbq is better. The 2-meat plate is $15 + tax/tip and it comes with two meats out of brisket, sausage, ribs, chicken, and pulled pork. I've tried all of their meat options now, and they are definitely very solid. I would say their pulled pork and brisket are amazing with their barbecue sauce. Not sure what they put in the barbecue sauce, but it feels homemade and is probably the best barbecue sauce I've had. I only wish they had a spicy option. The workers are nice and the service has been very pleasant every time I've been. Overall, very good bang for your buck so definitely give them a try!

The patty was a normal size thick patty. Secondly it was very dry and over cooked and the cheese wasn't even melted on it. It was not good. The waffle fries were the only saving grace and had nice seasoning. - habanero wings - these were beyond breaded and fried and had no flavor of habanero. I couldn't even finish them they were so breaded. The service was nice and the lady that served us was very friendly. They have no way of notifying you of your food being ready with text or buzzer, so you have to be around to make sure it's not just sitting there. Luckily we stuck around to get it immediately. I have to say I was disappointed in this food truck and definitely cannot see myself going back at the Austin Beerworks location or go to this Hops and Grains location because of what I had.
