The food was delicious! Slightly bummed they didn't have a chicken or turkey option. The portion sizes were perfect, the pricing fair. The service was fast and efficient. In and out in 20/25 mins. The interior could use an upgrade but we assumed maybe they were in the middle of re doing it? Regardless, this seems like a local place, removed from tourists. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch break!

Now inside a storefront in the same location. Great home style bbq! Tender pork ribs, tasty 3-cheese mac 'n cheese, and chopped brisket taco were my choices. Good value, flavorful and delicious. Service is prompt and polite.

As soon as we landed at the Austin airport we hit up Henry's Bbq and it was unbelievable. My new go to, food is magnificent, big portions and great service. Highly recommend !!

We realized the strategy was to order for pickup a day in advance so we wouldn't have to wait in the long line. We were 15 minutes late for our pickup time, and the food still wasn't ready. However, we waited five more minutes, and they gave us a full-sized bottle of barbecue sauce, which kind of made up for it. I also wasn't sure if they would've hurried up if we had arrived earlier. We ordered the sliced brisket sandwich, El Sancho Loco, and a pint of "shells & cheese." The sandwiches were really good, and the Sancho Loco sandwich was special in that it had chopped brisket, pulled pork, and sausage with red onions. The brisket was soft and juicy. The mac and cheese was great too. It had a unique spice to it from the poblanos. We enjoyed the tangy barbecue sauce that came in the bottle as well as a more smokey barbecue sauce that came in a small side cup. Our total was $48, and this was a good portion size for two people.

I personally didn't like the waiting period, most BBQ places that have an hour wait time are possibly under a canopy or have water close by or have somewhere to at least lean. This place had none. I am glad I went so I could check it off the list but I'd only comeback if I wanted to eat at an odd time of weekday and in the area. Pretty good coffee shop and brewery walking distance too!

Review: Fierce Flavors at Austin's Top 100 BBQ Tucked into a…read morequintessential corner lot, this Austin food truck isn't just serving barbecue; it's serving a certified experience. As a recipient of the prestigious Texas Monthly Top 100 BBQ Award, the expectations were high--and for the most part, they were met. The venue itself provides a fantastic, relaxed vibe, complete with plenty of TVs and a music stage, making it the perfect spot for chilling out on a lazy afternoon or settling in for an evening hang. The Main Event: Pitmaster Excellence The true test of a Texas BBQ joint is the holy trinity, and here, they nailed the fundamentals: * Brisket: This was Texas BBQ as it should be. The brisket was super juicy, delivered a profound, deep flavor, and possessed a flawless, great bark that spoke to hours of skillful smoking * Spare Ribs: A study in contrast and texture. The ribs offered a satisfying "good pull"--firm enough to bite but still falling cleanly off the bone. The thick, peppery bark was beautifully balanced by a slight sweetness from a pepper jelly glaze, adding a layer of sophisticated flavor you don't always find. * Pork Belly Burnt Ends: These were pure decadence. Each bite provided a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth experience with a distinct and welcome hint of Fierce Whiskers bourbon woven into the smoky, fatty flavor. They are so rich and irresistible, you know you shouldn't eat too many, but good luck stopping. * Jalapeño and Cheese Sausage: This locally sourced link brought the heat with a good level of spice. The flavor was excellent, though the texture leaned slightly toward the processed side, which was the only minor drawback among the meats. The Supporting Cast: Sides A great plate of BBQ requires sides that stand up to the meat, and while two of these were stars, one needs a little work. * Mac & Cheese: An absolute winner. It was cheesy, creamy, and featured an excellent smoked flavor that permeated the dish. The slightly charred edges added a delightful textural counterpoint. * Hash Brown Casserole: This was a surprisingly strong contender, offering a nice assembly of savory flavors. The secret weapon was the corn flake topping, providing an unexpected but welcome crunch, complemented by a satisfying hint of bacon. * Creamed Corn: Unfortunately, this side was the weakest link. It tasted primarily bland, despite a slight peppery note. It desperately needs some fresh jalapeños mixed in to cut through the creaminess and add the essential Texas kick. Final Verdict The meat selection here is truly Top 100 worthy, excelling in technique, flavor, and execution (especially the Brisket and Burnt Ends). The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed gathering. While the Creamed Corn missed the mark, the stellar Hash Brown Casserole and Smoked Mac & Cheese prove that their side game is usually strong. Come for the high-quality, authentic Texas barbecue, stay for the great outdoor patio.

We got the chopped beef sandwich and decided to share it between three people since we just wanted a taste. Gotta say it was darn good & I'll definitely go back to try more. The beef was so tender and juicy that it really did melt in our mouths. The bun was soft and fresh and held the sandwich together well.

I wouldn't eat here again…read more I had high expectations with the good Yelp reviews. We ordered the ribs and the chicken quarter (which was more like a Cornish hen quarter because it was so small) The burnt end black eyed peas were we very spicy, which I like, but it was not noted and they were salty. We threw them away. I was not impressed and $7 for the chicken (see pic) is a crime when it's that tiny.

I ordered the pork ribs with black eyed peas and burnt ends, and everything was packed with flavor. The ribs were tender and well seasoned, about three in my order, and came with a tangy sauce , grilled toast plus pickled tomatoes and onions that were downright addictive. The Black Eyed Peas were bold and spicy, with chunks of smoky burnt ends mixed in. Definitely not shy on seasoning. They serve everything on compostable plates which I really appreciate. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. They mentioned the menu rotates often, so what's on today might not be there next time. Small batch, small menu, but worth it. The truck was set up at the brewery, so there's plenty of seating--inside, shaded, or in the sun--and drinks come from the brewery itself. Only reason I took off a star was the limited options, but overall, the food was fantastic. I'd absolutely come back to try more from their menu.
