If you've read my other reviews, you'd know that I don't like to give out 5 star ratings unless the business really impressed me. Well, I had a lousy day yesterday with my towing experience. AAA roadside service could not and would not help my situation. My car wouldn't start after grocery shopping. Because I parked in the covered structure of the parking spaces, the AAA tow trucks couldn't and wouldn't even attempt to drive into the parking structure. Henry's to the rescue! Even though they didn't have a high Yelp rating, they were recommended by my auto shop guy. And these guys came through with flying colors. I spoke with the dispatcher, Mike who was very nice and friendly, and he was able to send a real pro tow technician. Jerry arrived quickly and was able to quickly get to my car and get it towed to my auto shop. Thanks Mike and Jerry! I will be calling you guys if ever my car needs towing. read more

Unbelievably rude. Nasty behavior. Beware beware beware. Will tow your car on a sunday, but claim you can't pick up because the office is "closed" even though someone is there. So you're open enough to tow a car and hold it but not open enough to let me take it less than - 1hour after it was picked up forcing me to pay for that days storage fees. Last week the man working at the front here attempted to berate and get aggressive with my best friend and her mother when they simply tried to inquire about their family members vehicle after a horrific accident. The man had short black hair, was about 5'9/5'10, with a medium build. He was completely irate for absolutely no reason, being extremely aggressive to two women who are in the process of grieving a major loss and just asking questions about the vehicle. His behavior went beyond unprofessional and was absolutely unhinged. No employer in their right mind should pay an individual like this to abuse their customers. I have never in my life been so appalled and repulsed by the people who run this establishment. My very close friend and their family went into this establishment to view a vehicle after a deeply tragic loss, and were met with a sickening and abhorrent reaction that included a grown (small shell of a) man quite literally puffing his chest in their face, telling them "how things are going to work", acting completely inappropriately, making what had been an already deeply painful and traumatizing process even more difficult. Apparently the owners of this establishment think it's perfectly fine for their employees to behave in a manner that is viciously disrespectful and harmful to their customers, and fail to meet even basic standards of decency, further TAUNTING my close friends after he denied helping them at all. If you ever have service needs of any kind, or even the lowest standard of human decency, stay as far from this place as absolutely possible. read more

This towing company tells your on the phone a higher price and then when you come and ask for a receipt they get mad and ontop of that add in lies and fees. My car stayed in for days and got picked up 8 minutes away from the tow yard and yet the completion was 2 hours.. they also were mad that I got my car out of the lot fast like if they were gonna swap parts and let my insurance see it like that. These guys are sketchy I wouldn't recommend this tow yard to anyone. They rob you. read more

On 10/23 morning, I went to buy some flowers at Ralph on Atlantic Monterey Park. I slipped and felt on my way out and Ralph call 911 to take me to Hospital. They kept me there for one week, I went to pick up the car and its gone and pick up by Henry's towing in Alhambra. I went to pick up the car - a Bentley Continental convertable and I don't believe my eyes. - the front grill and bumper is badly damaged - the front tire an rim is badly damaged, both are broken so bad that only new replacements work for this nice looking car. - my portable wireless speaker is missing - gift cards missing The car still in the body shop now and the damage is over ten thousand dollars. My car got stuck in the middle of the street due to broken axel- waited for a long time for a tow. Police came and called these guys to come help us. The driver claimed our AAA card was expired (so I showed him my online card since my physical card was outdated) he said that wasn't enough- the digital membership card that AAA gives their members was not enough... . Then he says he can tow it if I pay him $225... CASH only. Given this was my only option (which he knew) I agreed to pay him $225 cash but when I realized I didn't have the amount on me I asked him to take me to the ATM. He refused. Basically my review is to say if you have to call these guys I'm sorry that means you're in a bind. I hope they will help you. They did not help me. ALSO The driver POPPED THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE OF MY VEHICLE AND LIED TO MY FACE ABOUT IT. This company is wildly terrible. My husband begged him to move our car out of the street and into a safe parking spot which was only about 20 feet away and he refused. He did pull the car over slightly to a red zone- and claimed that was a huge help to us. But I assure anyone who is reading this it was not. The kicker is if AAA doesn't send a tow truck to move our car in 1 hour the police will impound our vehicle and I bet I know who they are going to call to come tow it. If I could put 0, I would. I think this tow yard is a sham and the person there, an older man named, Mike was just awful, disrespectful and obviously never taught manners. My husband was in an accident a few miles away. The police on their own decided to tow to this hellhole even though we had AAA and towing through our insurance. I picked up my husband only 30 minutes after the accident and headed to the tow yard. Upon arrival, Mike immediately said "what do you want"? What a greeting. I explained to him crying that I just want my van at home and AAA was just outside waiting. He says "ok whatever, that will be $285". I was flabbergasted. The van was just towed less than an hour before. I spoke to my insurance who then told us they will send someone to get it from there. Fine, I was ok with that but when I asked the man to go get my personal belongings from the car, he said no because I was rude and only my husband can go in. Flabbergasted again because the car is registered in my name. So I'm there with my injured husband, crying baby in the rain and he's sitting there smug that he won't let me see my own car because I was "rude". I literally just picked up my husband from an accident site with a baby in the car, dealing with a totaled family car and no sympathy for charging me $285 for a 30 minute hold. Im sorry if I was a bit "rude" but this was a stressful situation and you made it worse. I ended up calling the Alhambra PD who told me they couldn't do much but that it would be wise to contact the BBB so I'll be doing that too. We had two other companies come out to tow our electric car that had zero power. To do the tow it required dolly's to enable it to move as all the wheels were locked up. Henry's towing sent out Gerry ( nice guy) who was able to do what the other two companies couldn't do in under 10 mins. He made it look so easy. Very professional and respectful. I got stranded on Hwy 55 tonight with a flat tire and used State Farm for my roadside service. I am so lucky they contracted me with this company! I would like to send a HUGE thanks to Esteban! He called me as soon as I got off the phone with State Farm, he confirmed my location, arrived to my location within 15 minutes and was so kind, professional, and happy to help me when I was a sitting duck on the side of the freeway in the dark. I wish I could do a zero star review. My car was parked in front of my house and totaled by a drunk driver. The city of Pasadena had it towed to this towing company and that's when most of the problems started. When I called to get information about my vehicle 'Henry' the older man in the office was far beyond rude. I've never been in any kind of accident before so all of this is new to me. I obviously would need a lot of guidance on what to do. The older man 'Henry' was condescending basically saying that it was my fault that my car got totaled and that I deserved what happen to me. A few days later when I finally got everything sorted out with the city I came to pick up my car with a tow truck from any other company. 'Henry' was again rude to me and even more rude to the person who was going to tow my car. I understand business and I didn't mind having to pay the fees but this man was very clearly doing his best to make this as difficult as possible for me and the new tow truck. It's unfortunate because I was already under a lot of stress and his attitude made it worse. Save yourself some trouble and go with literally ANY other tow company in the area. read more

Needed to take our car to the dealership, but it wouldn't start. Scheduled with them the day before for a pickup. The quote was reasonable and they take credit cards or cash. The driver showed up right on time that morning and it was a breeze! He winched it up and towed it flat. Took good care of the car, and promptly got it to our destination. Seriously eff this place. I had my car towed from private property. They wanted to charge me 2 days storage even thou i picked it up within 2r hrs. I read the California vehicle code which states that towing companies can only charge 1 day storage if picked up within 24 hrs. I am sure they know this law but try to pull a fast one on unsuspecting victims. read more

These folks are horrible!! I scheduled a tow through Toyota Roadside and Henry's told be the wait was 60-90 min. 90 min later I called to follow up and they basically forgot me. They Never called me to tell me the wait was going to be another 90 minutes and the whole time I'm still sitting on the side of the road stranded. Unacceptable. Called Henry's Towing, which provides quality service to our South Pasadena condo when we have issues with visitors parking in residents' assigned spaces. Henry's Towing arrived. Andy and Junior gave the battery a good try, and then carefully loaded it onto their truck and towed it with this grandma riding shotgun to Larry's Auto Repair on Mission in South Pasadena. Henry's Towing was polite, cheerful, and professional. They got the job done. The charge was as quoted and reasonable. I highly recommend their service. Save yourself the time and just call Henry! I called two other towing companies and both took well over an hour and half to get to me and neither could start my car or tow it. Henry's Towing got to me quickly, was able to tow my car AND even give my battery enough juice to get to the mechanics from my drop off point. He was nice, professional and took the time to figure out the best move forward (even looked at my car manual). I'm grateful! My only regret is not calling him first. Vehicle was parked with emergency brake on, rooftop open--towed from a tow away zone/farmer's market and within an hour of retrieval, car was damaged. Damages included (1) one inch or so hole beside gear shift/center console, missing small part that formerly covered hole which was not known of prior to tow, and (2) driver's side window does not close all the way, gets stuck. Called and spoke to Manager Joe, who insists that there was no damage, without even looking at car, refused to give me insurance info., and said to take up issue with small claims court. Joe did not tow or drive up car for pick up but insists that they did not get into car, however neither problem existed prior to tow. Police report and insurance claim filed with hopes of getting damages fixed with no help from Joe, who also refused to escalate concern because they are a corporation and not a private business. Needless to say, very upset and disappointed as there is no humanity or consideration of circumstances at all, not with fees and problems caused by tow. Henry's Towing, it's an absolute scammer. They have protection under all contracted police agency. My car got impounded at 4:30pm and they close at 5pm. I picked up the car the following day at 8am, when they opened. They still charged me for 2 days. "Their reasoning?" Well it was the 25th, it is the 26th now. Are you kidding me? A day by definition is 24 hours. They are scamming and robbing people through the loophole of closing early. For a "family owned", they can afford to close at least till 8pm. The other day my 2020 Mazda 3 AWD was towed by Henry's towing. Upon the arrival of the tow truck, the company had been ordered to use a flatbed but instead used a dolly to tow the car, which if the people working there had any basic knowledge on how to tow certain drivetrains, they would know how to tow an AWD Car properly, unfortunately their skills in towing proved to be futile as they used the dolly to tow the car . Additionally, my Mazda App reported several engine and brake malfunctions as it was being towed. We called the next day reporting the damage and DID NOT get an apology nor any form of compensation for the damages they did to the transmission and driveshaft to the car. For those who fall victim to this waste of a towing company, make sure it is done properly. AS FOR THE PEOPLE WORKING AT HENRY'S TOWING, you CANNOT TOW AN AWD ON A TOW DOLLY. This will damage the driveshaft of the car as all wheels are connected to it, thus straining the transmission. I now have to find a new car as the damages are permanent and exceedingly costly. Customer service is terrible and the service is unreliable. I needed towing for my car that broke down and their ETA was 2 hours, so I had to leave to pick up my kids. They told me to leave the keys under the driver mat and that they car would be picked up and towed to a local dealership. I called the towing company multiple times to check the status, and the girl who answered seemed annoyed and said they'd call me when the car was picked up. I never got a call or a text. The following day, I called the dealership and my car wasn't there. I called the towing company and they said it was towed, but when I told them that the dealership never received it they said they look into it. Then they called back to say that actually the driver said he never did pick it up. They didn't apologize or anything. I would never ever ever recommend this company. read more

I understand that it going to take a bit for things to get done but like for real after wait one hour my insurance company had to contact them and they said it was going to be another 45 min cause of some issue that no one knows.
