A medical emergency caused my fiancee to pull over on the side of the freeway to receive help. The car was towed to this place since he was transported via ambulance. A slew of events caused it to be difficult to attain the car, but not their fault. However, when I went to pick up the car today they said the key was not in there. I asked them to check and they just said it didn't start so no key. We drove back and forth 1.5 more hours to get our spare key. Drove my car home, tried to lock it, and the original key was in the drivers seat the whole time. I wish they had done a better job of checking for the key instead of wasting our time and gas lol. Towing prices in general are absurd so not really happy about the delays. They make it extremely difficult to release your car to rack up more money is what I'm thinking. Only less than 3 days with a bill of $400 and towed because of a medical emergency. Many companies do this so I'm not shocked. Still, predatory and annoying. read more

WARNING!! If I could give zero stars, I would. This towing company violated my trust in the worst way -- by going through my personal belongings without my consent and stealing items from my vehicle. When I called to report it and simply asked to speak to a manager, I was met with hostility and defensiveness, not accountability. I explained that if they acknowledged the issue and took responsibility internally, I would consider letting it go. Instead, the manager's response was shockingly unprofessional: "Get a warrant." No apology, no investigation, no effort to resolve the situation -- just complete dismissal. This company clearly lacks integrity, transparency, and respect for people's property. The truck came more than 30 minutes late after letting us wait for 45 minutes. Was quoted over the phone $165 for drop off and $15 per mile. Sounded reasonable so we had the car towed to a repair shop one mile away. The total should be $180. But here is the catch: the price is for cash only. To use credit card the surcharge is $55, making it $235. This credit card surcharge at more than 30% is the most outrageous that I ever encountered. If the driver informed us the surcharge over the phone when giving quotes we would have chosen someone else. Felt being tricked. So be very careful to watch out for bait and switch trick if you decide to use this service. read more

The driver, Chris was in a clean neat uniform, spotless truck but the spare was locked & did not have the key. Chris towed them to an all night tire shop who had the tire fixed in a half hour. I called my triple A service provider to send out a request for a tow to these guys 3 different times within 2 days and all 3 of these times they refused to pick up my car with a flatbed and even dollies because it was "too low" mind you these operators have specialized dollies & jacks to further assist with the loading process. Avoid at all cost if you can. They have no concept of customer service & less so for handicap passengers. My handbag was stolen & I had no ID/keys. 90* degree heat out in Monterey Park & I had a handicap passenger. My car was underground where there was no cell service. All this information relayed to AAA. All calls were routed to this company so there was no choice. Call 1 They cancelled the call because they "could not find me". Company did not text or call before arriving (so I could meet at the car). The company only called me after they said they had been looking for me for 20 minutes. At this point I was in the restroom helping my handicap passenger (I'm a caregiver). We rushed to the car and did not find the tow truck. When I ran back up to call the company they explained the time allotted was up. I'm standing on Atlantic Blvd and I run across the street when I see the tow truck. They could not get the ticket back so I called AAA again. Call 2 My handicap passenger is by the car (underground) waiting with no air conditioning. I called AAA and explained above all over again. Tow truck abandons me because I have no ID & AAA does not provide an exception. I must look like a thief in a dress. Call 3 I called AAA and explained above all over again. They ask me all sorts of security questions and verify it is me. No one shows up or calls. Call 4 An hour after call 3 I check with the company to see if they are going to show up and check the location so they can find me. It seems that without a picture ID they think you are stealing your car. Right, I was stealing my car (registered in my name) & towing it to the registered address. Really? (I'm also in a dress & w a handicap passenger.) Even the AAA agent agreed this was a duh moment. It took 4 calls and more than 4 hours to get help. 830pm, darkness had fallen & they send a guy to open my car, no tow service around for 40 minutes. He also looks at my passenger and says," No one told us you had a passenger in a wheelchair." Rather than the tow service taking us home I had to call a rideshare. $45+ extra out of my pocket even though I have premier service from AAA. And no response to my text. Gave them a call, and they told me they were 30 minutes away. 39 minutes roll around and they send a text that they've arrived. Problem is they never came. Seems like they are gaming their contract with AAA. If you're near MPK be aware. And if your AAA rep selects Freeway to be your provider, you might want to consider asking for another company. I am a AAA Automotive Club member. The last two times Ive requested tows, as paid for by my membership. AAA has dispatched my request to my local service provide FREEWAY TOWING. The first time, it took Freeway Towing 2 1/2 days for them to finally pick up my car and tow it a few miles away to my mechanic. AAAs customer service did not update me and kept me and my mechanic shop waiting blindly. Not what I expected for an emergency service I pay for. The second and last time I requested another two from AAA, I was again dispatched to FREEWAY TOWING who declined to service my request. This time around I had a long distance tow for a different specialty shop. Freeway Towing claimed they did not have available drivers, but I and a few friends called them direct to request tows, to find that they indeed did have available drivers ready and willing to pick up our cars. 3 different calls. What makes this an unfair situation is that I pay for an emergency service that both Freeway Towing and AAA have agreed to provide. What my extra research showed was that Freeway Towing proved to be unreliable, be picking and choosing who they do and dont want to service. How is this emergency service reliable? How is it fair to the consumer who pays for and depends on their claims to be reliable service providers for AAA? This caused 2 days of unnecessary stress, anxiety, frustration and inconvenienced me blindly and the shop waiting for my car in the other end. We could not make plans, did not know what was going on and could not plan accordingly. Im sure Freeway Towing is a good company for the jobs they choose to accept, but for the jobs they decline to service as committed service providers for AAA, they are the worst! I ended up calling around and found two local competitors who were both willing to pick up my car and deliver, regardless of the milage. Literally had my car picked up within two hours and a delivery confirmation. read more
