My wife got a flat tire in San Gabriel, and ordered a tow through AAA. A while later, we get a call from the tow driver, Marcos, who said he was at the location. My wife told him she did not see him, and that on the map that AAA provided, he was down the street. Marcos then berated my wife telling her that she gave the wrong address and that she needs to be careful and more specific when entering the location, and that we were in a different city from the address listed. Mind you, AAA is the one that provides the location and provides a map, and the address he was at was not even 5 minutes down the road. Accusing your customer of entering the wrong address is very unprofessional, and it was something we didn't even do. A few minutes later and Marcos arrives at our location, and said that "AAA gave him the wrong address," and asks us if we have a spare, we say no. (We received this car from a family member, and they told us we didn't have a spare). Marcos proceeds to drive the car on the bed of the truck, scraping our front bumper on the bed of the tow truck. My wife and I leave for the tire store in a separate vehicle and arrive there before Marcos. Marcos drove the car down off the truck, again scraping the bumper of the car on the tow bed, and proceeds to tell us that we did have a spare and to "not trick the driver." Mind you, we did not know we have a spare, and it means he opened our trunk without our permission. There was literally no reason for him to do this, and again demonstrates how unprofessional Marcos was. I opened the trunk of my wife's car, and sure enough, items were moved to the side indicating that someone moved the items in the back of our trunk to check for the spare. I have to ask, what would we even gain by "tricking" the tow driver to say we didn't have a spare tire? Why did he feel the need to open the trunk without our permission? In short, Marcos was unprofessional, accusatory, invaded our privacy, and did not treat us, nor our vehicle with respect. I would absolutely NOT recommend Action Towing, and I think AAA should end their partnership with them.

I'm going the review the process of communication AND the actual towing desperately. The communication... my husband called the Tesla roadside assistance number at 7a on a Saturday to get it towed. They connected him with C&R towing and told him eta was 1.5 hours. 2 hours later, my husband called the towing company and they said the driver would be there in 10mins. Another 15mins passed and no one showed up. My husband called to cancel the tow since the driver hadn't arrived and informed them he would call back after we came home from the family event. * We had to be at an event at 10a and had allocated 3 hours for the whole towing to America's tire company for drop off. Nope, that plan was foiled. The morning communication and extreme delay was very inconvenient. 2 stars for this. I understand if there is an urgent pick up or traffic delay (we live in L.A.) but no communications on the delay and us having to call in frequently for check in was very annoying. Was the man on the phone nice? Yes, polite but the lack of communication on change of eta was not cool. After we returned from the event, we called to report we would be back in 30-40mins. The man on the phone said he can either get someone to go in 30mins or original 1.5 hour eta. This time the communication was way better, he called us right back to let us know it'd be the longer eta. No problem. The driver was on time and efficient. Great service. Gentle with loading the vehicle on the flat bed, got all the tires secured and off they went. Less than 30mins of time. 5 stars for the service man! I don't know what happened in the AM but it was a completely different situation than the afternoon.

I called dispatch at auto car and he seemed understanding and nice, he said he'd get someone out in 20. I waited over an hour and called aaa, they looked into and saw that both tickets were closed, so I had basically been sitting outside waiting for nothing. literally run from this place, or find a horse to tow your car.

This is an area we are unfamiliar with and let alone we ended up pulling into this sketchy area as it was the closest off the freeway. It was so scary and we had to abandon our vehicle due to not being able to get roadside service right away. My family and I had to leave our vehicle behind an alley and run to find a safe place to find a tow company. I called a few places and they told them our situation and they were quoting $600+ plus to tow and drive us back to the Valley. I ended up finding Hawks via Yelp and decided to give them a call. I ended up speaking with a nice individual and he quoted us half the price. They came to our rescue and had to bring a flatbed due to the type of vehicle we had. He drove us all the way from Lynwood to the Valley.
