I called AAA and within the time frame they told me (35 min) & In horrible traffic, Adrian came to our rescue and carefully loaded my car to be toed. He was polite and I was so relieved to be safely off the freeway. Called AAA service and got contacted by Auto Car. The handyman David D. helps me inspect my tire and find out the issue of deflation. He found a nail stuck on the flat side of the tire and suggested me to America's tire for zero dollar cost repair. He tried to inflate the tire so that I can drive, but it turned out that the tire can't hold any air and was slowly leaving. For safety concern, he help changing to a spare so the car can last longer for driving distance, but local only (No freeway! Especially warn by him.... ) thank you for the help and advice. read more

While I'd never suggest purposely getting into accidents, we've had the pleasure of getting my husband's Hyundai Santa Fe fixed by Raffi's shop twice in the last two years and the experiences have continued to be stellar. In 2021, a Doordash delivery driver took out the front passenger fender/tire when my husband's car was parked on the street outside our house and then again recently in 2022 when we hit a deer in southern Oregon. This review is for Kelvin only, as I did not go to the shop for service, he came to me for a tow. Luckily, through AAA services, I was sent this angel from above to see if my car needed a jump start versus a tow. He arrived promptly, with a smile that could make anyone who is stranded feel at peace. His humor lightened my mood and the next thing you know he has expertly rolled my little sentimental CRV out of my parking spot and it was ready to go. He did offer to take me to their own garage and I was tempted as he was so nice. But I simply can't be unfaithful to my small town mechanic, so off we went to my place of preference. The truck ride over was a hoot, we were both laughing, sharing stories about dead batteries, towing and the similarities to jump starting someone's heart.... these are conversations you have when someone is a towing expert and the other is a nurse. The real challenge was for him to back my CRV into the absolute most narrow space in So. Cal. I was so impressed, I had to hop out to take a video of his expertise. I was sad that my dad's car had to be towed through the streets of Pasadena, but Kelvin did it with such care and concern, along with some giggles, that in the end, it was my fortune. I got stranded in Monrovia for 5 hours back and forth with AAA because I need someone to bring me a 2 gallons of gas to get me back home, I've been a long time customer with AAA for over 18 years, and I never had any problem until tonight. They sent the first driver from Auto Car, his name is Mark. Mark came at 8:30 PM; he told me the only thing he could do was give me a tow to the nearest gas station so I could pay for my own gas there. I told him that he was supposed to have a gas tank and give me 2 gallons, because that's what I paid for my AAA service, he said he didn't have any fuel on his truck, he also said he didn't want to pay out of his pocket for 2 gallons, wow so he didn't come prepared, so I told him if he couldn't help me, then I will call someone else, he won't be bothered anymore. So he left, and I called AAA, which they told me, Mark confirmed he already given me 2 gallons of gas in which he never done, so AAA would rather calling me a liar than sending me another driver. I had to request the service at least 4 more times, it's already passed mid night, that Arturo called and told me he would be on his way with my 2 gallons of gas. At least until 1:30 AM, he finally came and helped me. He told me he was the person in charge for the night crew, and if Mark didn't do his job, I should have reported him. Obviously if I lied about getting free gas, I wouldn't be sitting in my car for over 5 hours and not be able to drive, so not only Mark lied about his task, he didn't do his job either. After reading all the reviews, I realized I wasn't the only one having issues with the drivers of this company, because the next day someone from Auto Car gave me a call and asking me about my experience and that Mark has been "retrained" Alright, what's done is done. read more

AAA sent a tow truck driver who looked and acted like he was straight out of jail. He arrived and was already agitated. We explained that the tire is completely shredded and could not be driven. It was parked in the carport. All this info was provided to AAA. The driver immediately told us that we need to drive the SUV out into the street or he couldn't help us. So reluctantly we drive and shredded what was left of the tire and damaged the rim. Finally after scraping the rim about 30 yards into the street, I explained to the driver that we were concerned about damaging the car more. He then said "it was there policy blah blah blah." He said that he can call someone else to tow our car and I told him that it's already in the street like he asked. The driver then said "do you want me to service your car or what?" I responded by saying please give me a minute. The driver the. Packed his stuff drove off laughing and taking pictures of us... while saying "good luck with you car". REALLY?! If you value your safety ..DO NOT GO WITH THEM". Big shout out to Elias, left my car at home and came back from a mini trip only to find out my car hesitated when starting. Didn't think anything of it till I got back from the market and tried to fire it back up, it completely died on me. My old battery is a AAA battery that lasted 6 years, I jumped my car with my NOCO charger and moved it so I wouldn't block traffic. Not only could I not tell that there was ever a dent in my fender or that it was disconnected from my bumper but the paint job was excellent as well. 2nd UPDATE - After waiting for AAA on the phone for over one hour, I finally gave up and suddenly AAA texted me and I responded with needing help immediately as it was getting very late and Auto Car has not responded. I called AAA again to seek for help and at about the same time as I was talking to AAA after someone finally picked up the phone, a driver from Auto Car called while I put AAA on hold fearing AAA would not pickup later. The driver sounded pleasant which was a pleasant surprise and said he would be at my location in 10 minutes. He actually showed up before 10 minutes and drove the Toyota Tundra company logo'd truck onto my driveway and parked in front of my garage. I explained to him how the destructive battery test performed 4 days ago essentially damaged my battery and that the test result Indicated that the battery needed to be replaced. He reviewed the work order history and the purchase order history and proceeded to telling me that he will replace the battery. I asked him whether there will be any charges and he indicated no charge as this was under the 3 year no cost replacement warranty. After 3 hours of agony which would have been 6 if I didn't call several times to both AAA and Auto Car, the fasteners are still missing and Auto Car has not responded to my complaint except the response below that came in lightening fast about how I need to learn to read. Again I am leaving the review at one star because of the entire experience and the fact that I'm still missing the fasteners that the other driver neglected to install back on my car. 1st UPDATE - Wow, Auto Car already responded, very impressive. Wish Auto can respond in real life helping stranded people as quickly as they respond to YELP! ORIGINAL POST - Do not trust this AAA approved outfit as they are dishonest and does not even know to install engine cover back correctly and leaving a 85 year-old lady stranded and scared to drive her car. She is also a 43 year AAA member. AAA dispatched Auto Car and driver recommended to replace her car battery back in 2020 and battery died twice including 4 days ago. During that visit, AAA dispatched Auto Auto Car and driver performed battery test and the printed test result clearly showed battery not in good shape as it states, "Consider replacing the battery before it is exposed to temperature extremes." The driver insisted that there is nothing wrong with the battery and jumped the battery, started the car and left. 4 days later, the battery died, can't start car, no interior light, can't open trunk, no headlight, nothing. The driver who jumped the car didn't even replace the fasteners that anchors down the plastic covers of her car leaving the covers completely lose. Called AAA again, waited about 15 min to get hold of a real person, and they are dispatching Auto Car again. Explained to AAA rep, and she only asked to call Auto Car and no other response. Called Auto Car, the rep only said to call her supervisor on Monday regarding the poor service 4 days ago and offered no sympathy and even laughed during the conversation. Not sure what was so funny about not having the fasteners installed and leaving the covers completely lose. Auto Car said due to the extremely high workloads, they won't be here for at least 2 hours. Calling AAA again as the AAA website says it will be 4 hour wait from now, bait and switch, very unprofessional and not trust worthy outfit, still on hold with AAA for over 1 hour and not picking up... will update this review...just called agin and now the ETA is 2 hours from now and the owner responded already extended my wait time, talk about coincidence. And yes my English is challenged so please don't discriminate against a Chinese. I know how to read and if the battery is good why is my battery dead again in 4 days? Again it says consider replacing the battery...maybe the responder needs to take some customer service training, a good one. read more

I had a car towed from the shop to my home. I requested a flat bed because my vehicle is a little low and never used anything else but a flat bed. The driver called me and said the flatbeds are busy and it was the only option. He arrived towing it backwards with the front bumper 4inches from the ground. Later that day I backed out of my driveway and the front bumper dragged on the cement. After 20 years of backing out of the driveway with this vehicle never dragged the bumper. So I checked and the bumper was damaged. I didn't report this because they are going to say it was already damaged. From now on I will use Jan's Towing. read more
