No one is going to have a great time when their car is towed. Unfortunately for me, my car was towed due to having expired tags (even though my temporary tags were in clear sight in the window) and we contacted them. The first person who answered the phone was genuinely nice and helpful, I believe her name was Lisa, and gave us the information we needed to get our car back. The person who was at the actual impound is really hard to deal with, she can be rude or nice depending on circumstances. The first time I dealt with her she was super sweet, the second time I interacted with her she wouldn't let me finish a sentence and kept interrupting me. So we got our car under the assumption that maybe my temporary tags fell and was no longer visible, but when we got to the car they were still in the exact same spot (we didn't open the car and it is seen on their security cameras). I asked the person at the impound to accompany us to the car so she could look at it and she didn't leave her office and just told us to contact management while still charging us the full amount. So that's what I did, because if anything I should be refunded for having my car wrongly impounded. The manager that you have to contact never answers his phone, in fact he only corresponds via email. I contacted Lisa and asked for photographic evidence of the night my car was towed to see if it was actually done, she sent me the wrong photo and claims it is correct. So I added it to my email with the manager saying how they swore it was correct and I know for a fact it was wrong because my car wasn't parked in that spot and when you download the photos it gives you a time stamp! Wrong date/time and the information didn't match. The manager is very professional but also talked down to you the whole time. He even stopped corresponding to me and solely emailed my boyfriend about everything afterwards. I also contacted Montgomery county' and apparently this towing company has a very negative image as so many complain about them. Tips on working with Henry's: -be kind/professional when speaking with their employees. Nothing gets solved out of anger - take photographic evidence of your car with license plate and whatever info is needed - do not pay the fee until you inspect the car WITH their personal (this will result in you staying at their impound standing outdoors until they do it) - if you try to get a refund such as I did, fill out all paperwork ASAP and if you don't see a response within a few days email them again. It took me over a month to get my refund because they "never received" my paperwork read more

This wrecker service is completely unprofessional. They towed my sisters car just 15 mins after she left it unattended. She saw them pull out so we followed the tow truck to question if we could pay the fee and get the car. The tow truck driver illegally turned on a red light and then made an illegal U turn to avoid a question of what to do. He was driving like a bat outta hell with a car in tow. We got to the lot and the lady at the office (who didn't answer the phone) was just as nasty. I was literally in my pajamas and asking what to do and they were ridiculous. I get it...you have a job to do and I'm sure you deal with some awful stuff, but you make no attempt to deescalate the situation. I live in Montgomery Village, my vehicle was towed this morning. Dealing with this, snow, and being late for work was enough. I called Henry Tow to get an explanation of why I was towed. I always have my parking pass hanging from my rear view mirror, never had an issue. So I'm adamant. The pass was in-view. I get to the office and was shown a pic of the pass gone. I get to my car and the pass is tucked deep between the driver seat and arm rest. As if it was hidden... The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Was not even that upset that my car was towed but then they would not release it because there was a problem with their system. Both women working there today (Gaithersburg location) today were two of the rudest people I have ever met. Someone had mixed up the cars and registered the payment under a different car. As a result they would not release the car. They acted as if it was our fault and was cursing and told me and my family (including kids) to move out of the way so they could help other people. We almost had to call non emergency police. I will be registering a complaint with the better business bureau AND I will be strongly recommending that my HOA switch vendors immediately as this company is a liability waiting to happen. read more

Completely understaffed and outdated. First of all, the driveway to get in is so narrow you can't even turn around when the gate is closed. Second, the facilities itself - especially for such a lucrative company - are grossly outdated and impoverished-looking....literally a haunted junkyard. Trash everywhere. They always have a line, and only one worker - the whole process is extremely slow, due to a very slow computer system (this is what the worker told me). I literally waited 45 minutes and I was second in line. I didn't have my credit card on me, and they couldn't take Apple Pay, digital check, or enter my credit card information down for payment. ‼BREACH OF LEASE CONTRACT/ILLEGAL TOWING/DESTRUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY‼ I've been a tenant of Mira Upper Rock Apartments (formerly known as Gables Upper Rock Apartments) for almost eleven years. Mira Upper Rock oversold parking AGAIN--including BOTH of my garage parking spaces that I pay $75.00 per month for each vehicle; both of these garage parking spaces are also listed in my lease. After selling both of my garage parking spaces that I have been paying monthly fees for for almost eleven years, Mira Upper Rock contacted Henry's Wrecker and illegally towed one of my vehicles from its garage parking space, and it was ultimately sent to the junkyard and scrapped. This vehicle (which I used as my work vehicle) not only contained important work documents and training material, but also items of sentimental and expensive value--including my mom's Bible that she received at her high school graduation in 1978, as well as clothing and shoes. My mom gifted me with this Bible at my high school graduation over twenty years ago and told me to keep it in my vehicle at all times to keep me safe from harm. This vehicle was the first vehicle I bought after graduating from college in 2007, so it had significant sentimental value to me and my family. When I contacted Chris Dupy (Property Manager at Mira Upper Rock) and demanded that he pay all towing and storage fees so my vehicle can be returned to me, he responded, "You should have moved your vehicle" (from a parking space guaranteed to me in my lease). I could not afford to pay the towing and storage fees because I've been on medical leave from work (without pay) since January. When I called to the leasing office again and left a message with a Mira staff member for Mr. Dupy to call me so we can discuss this issue, he never returned my call. Mr. Dupy blamed me for his selling of both of my garage parking passes by stating that I shouldn't have waited until the last minute to pick up my new parking passes--although I went to the leasing office by the deadline (February 15th). Tess Weyant, Desire Gordon, nor any other corporate staff at Murn Management that I have contacted have offered me any assistance, nor have they had the human decency to even offer me an apology. It is important to note that I've been paying full price for rent (no government subsidies), have NEVER been late on rent, and have been a great tenant the entire eleven years I've resided here. You would think that would grant me some type of high quality customer service, right? This entire ordeal has had significant negative impacts on my emotional, mental and physical health. Right away I knew to call the tow company for her.Just because this isn't the first time it's been wrongfully towed by the same company in the past. So,I called Henry's and I spoke with a lady whom was very nice and polite. I asked was my mother's car towed after giving her the make and model.She said yes it was there . So I know my mom she on top of everything. I asked why was the car towed her parking display for the neighborhood is in the RV mirror last time we checked it was. Worst possible company to deal with who towed your car for wrong reason. And this is my second time dealing with them, good thing this time it is in my favor after dealing with my property management. My car was wrongly towed over the weekend for stating I parked over the 2 hour limit. WRONG! I have literally just parked there at 11:50am then got picked up at 12:11pm! When I came to get my car the guy there stated the management requested this and to take it up with them. Ofc I called my properties and was told it was approved bc Henry's driver took a before picture more than 4 hours before and came back at noon and my car parked at the same spot. Yeah well I had left long ago and came back took the same spot (maybe I shouldn't have done, lessons learned) but the good thing, I had proof of receipt that put me somewhere else an hour before. So after a long 3 hour, going back to my apartment complex showing receipt, back to Henry showing receipt, email from my apartment complex to them and waiting from Henry's manager to email back, yep pretty much lost my half Saturday just to deal with them - FINALLY got my car back. Oh, found out he also picked up my friend's car who also parked there under the 2 hour limit... smh. Dealt with them last year in December, my rental got picked up for having my temporary permit expired on that day at 10am. Do you not understand apartment complex close at certain times at 6pm and yes ppl mostly get home from work after then for us who already started working at the office then home. It didn't matter that I live in the complex and has been paying for permit that was at the time in my car at the shop. It didn't matter that your apartment sent proof that you're a resident who lives there with a permit to proof. The lady at the front desk at the time told me to email her manager to get refund after paying and just get the car out first. Yeah no response passed the 24 hour period so glad I took my car out instead paying your unnecessary storage. When you get response simply "since we did the tow it was legit and you had to pay". Of course you wouldn't refund since you already took my money. I wish I had pushed this further then and followed what other reviews stated here to file a complaint (Which I def will by now). They legit towed my car from my friends driveway. Here's how to fight back. 1) they must have written permission from HOA, apartment complex or owner to tow You. Ask them to provide it. They won't be able to 2) they must notify the police when they tow your car immediately. Call the police to make sure they did. After you do that document everything and report to Montgomery County Consumer protections office and file a small Claims suit. You do not need an attorney to for that.All you have to do is fill out a form. Hold predatory companies accountable. read more

Our car was towed from the Metropolitan Apartment complex in downtown Rockville as we visited a friend who lives here. We have parked there in a visitor's space before and were told it was fine. Others have parked there as visitors and not been towed. But Henry's is known for predatory practices, and this selective towing practice, "fishing" for victims to steal their money in a pandemic, is not right. read more

I would give zero stars if I had a chance. My sister made a mistake parking at her apartments and accidentally got towed. She was devastated but that was nothing compared to the very rude woman who was at the lot when we tried to retrieve the car. I understand you have to be tough or firm in a job like that but to be so rude for no reason to a young distressed girl made me very angry and disappointed in their service. My father's car got towed this morning for parking in an unauthorized space, which he understands and takes responsibility for. I believe he talked to Britney this morning, she was extremely rude to him. We all know how annoying the situation is but there was absolutely no need for her to treat my father that way. Keep in mind my dad is not fluent in English and was doing his best to get the situation resolved and get his car back. He never yelled at her or was even rude to her, I don't believe he could even if he tried because again, he speaks broken English. He also never said he wouldn't pay the fee (which was absurd by the way), he was simply trying to get his car so he could go to work. I don't usually write reviews but I felt I had to write this one. On Sunday January 12th I went to pick up a car that was towed outside my house. I knew I was in the wrong so I was ready to pay for the car. When I got there I experienced the worst customer service I have seen. This woman (purple dreads and smokes) should not be working on customer service period. She would bark or yell things like she was yelling to a pet. I will email the county because they shouldn't hire companies who have employees like this one. She is the worst and should be fired I immediately. I don't know how she still has employment there. She is extremely rude, disrespectful and is clear she has discrimination issues. She called me inappropriate & disrespectful names. Worst towing company. While I'm sure very few towing companies get stellar reviews, this specific company is absolutely terrible! They have been used by the building I live at since August 2019 and they have been a pain in the residents and building personnel's foot. Keep in mind that before they started to use this company, the residents and their guests had free access to the outside parking (we pay for the covered parking). Now, we have to get a pass that is only valid for 3 days! We receive emails from the concierge whenever a resident's car is getting towed (after it's too late of course), and we have receive DOZENS of emails! A couple examples: 1) the towing car driver used to just sit there, at the entrance of the parking, for hours, waiting for people to come in and park without requesting a pass. It went to the point that the concierge had to intervene and let them know that they were not allowed to park there and wait. I have not used the outside parking myself since August because I am scared the driver will come and tow my car while I would be at the concierge desk requesting a pass! 2) As if not stressful enough, they have failed to give the concierge passes a few times, who then, could not issue any new. But we were still not exempt of getting said passes. the concierge and leasing department are left in the dark as to when they're going to receive new passes. So, in the meantime, they tell you to call the concierge desk every hour because the towing company is still going to start towing cars as soon as they are back. What makes a commercial vehicle? Henry's towing service in Gaithersburg towed a Dodge Van that had a ladder on top of it and stated it was towed because it was a commercial vehicle. The van had no signage, nothing that would typically be considered 'commercial use'. A ladder is a necessary when living in a townhouse. Henry's was not able to provide any documentation stating what is considered a commercial vehicle. read more

I used Henry's to tow my car to Marten's VW. The gentleman who arrived was courteous and did a great job putting the car on the flat bed and delivering it to the desired location. My issue is with the dispatchers at this towing service. They originally committed to picking up the car at approx. 7:30 am. I called to confirm and was assured that they had me booked. However, at 7:45 I received a call from the new dispatch on shift who asked "Do you still need a tow?". It was clear that the dispatchers did not have clear communication and my order fell through the cracks. If you use them, keep close tabs on your booking. To make matters worse, I called back to Henry's to make sure they knew that there had been a problem with communication and the woman on the phone sighed and said "I know we have this problem it happens all the time". My first interaction with this tow truck driver was when he tried to T-bone my car as he drove through the McDonald's parking lot on 3/2/2017 at about 10:30am. (McDonald's at 18273 Flower Hill Way, Gaithersburg, MD 20879). He honked his horn multiple times at me as if it was my fault he couldn't drive. I then see him go flying around the other side of the building, park in this handicapped space, and go inside.
