It's always hard for me to write a "not great" review, but I do feel obligated to warn people that…read morethis is not the place to go for acupuncture. From the moment I walked into the waiting room, it was clear this is a churn-and-burn type of practice. Tons of people, everyone in and out within 10-20 minutes. I came in specifically requesting electroacupuncture. I told Dr. Jeff this directly, and both he and another staff member nodded and said "great," as if everything was aligned. It was not. I was taken into the "acupuncture" room and asked to lie face down on an extremely uncomfortable chair that was clearly meant for chiropractic adjustments- not acupuncture. I explained my tendinitis. He nodded, placed four basic needles in my arm, and said someone would come back to remove them. About 10 minutes later, a woman came in and took them out. There was no electroacupuncture involved at any point. No leads, no stimulation, nothing remotely resembling what I explicitly asked for. Then came checkout where I was shocked to be told I owed $175. I was informed there was a $100 "new patient" fee and $75 for the treatment. This felt completely unjustified. I was there for maybe 25 minutes total. In any legitimate acupuncture clinic, you're lying comfortably in a calm room for at least 45-60 minutes. There was no new patient exam this felt so scammy. I unfortunately booked a second appointment, mostly because I was exhausted from work and didn't want to search for another nearby provider, and didn't want to pay yet another $100 new patient fee elsewhere. That was a mistake. The second visit was also in and out within about 20 minutes. This place is an absolute rip-off for acupuncture. I do want to say that everyone who works here is very nice. That's not the issue. The issue is that what they offer is not real acupuncture as most people understand it, and it's wildly overpriced for what you actually receive. They should honestly remove acupuncture from their business name. I would like a refund.

I kind of don't want to leave a review because I want to be able to get in when I need to…read more I've had HORRIBLE experiences with chiros and came in reluctantly due to the fact I just simply cannot move my neck. It's funny to watch - I have to turn my entire body when someone taps my shoulder - but painful to live. I'm lucky enough to be just down the road and after reading all the great reviews, scheduled with Dr. Schwab. First appt, I'm like..."ok, I like her!". Great vibe, beautiful smile and very well spoken. She did a little bit of this and that and sent me out for x-rays. A week later, after examining them, she got into it. This lady has some strooooong hands and knows how to use them! I'm three appts in and, while I still have to turn my entire body, feel definite changes and loosening of my neck and upper back. She really has the confidence a chiro should have - none of this mid-adjustment second guessing. I went in with zero expectations, but she's amazing. Really. Thorough, thoughtful and really talented. And the rest of the office is great, too. Very friendly and professional. Clean space. Lots of parking. Blah blah blah. It's a top notch practice. And to the guy w the review after me - who cares about their politics? Is the doctor good or not? I don't need to be their friend or agree with their world views. Can they help me eliminate my pain? That's all I care about. Shy of them having body parts strewn around the parking lot, anyway. We're way too up in other people's business. Support the people who do good work, period. I have more important things to worry about - like being able to turn my head. Love this place. Highly recommend.

My family and I have been patients here for over four years, and the care has been outstanding. Over the past three months I have seen five massage therapist from this company and they have all…read morebeen fantastic. Someone from another location mentioned Amy (at this location) and her Cranial Sacral Massages (which is more like reiki I've come to find out) and that really gave me a shift. I have a lot physical work to do and a lot of emotional release to do and the people I worked with were great at both. I have issues with my lumbar and thoracic, a disc that lost fluid, a shoulder that was damaged in childhood and somehow ignored for so long, post-surgical issues for decades- basically I'm now over 40 and falling apart given my history of medical issues (poor genetic luck) and so I decided invest and get massages twice a week for a month and at least weekly for the next month. It's costly but it's cheaper to do a bunch in a month instead of dabbling with it for years and not seeing much progress. I had a friend who was considering a massage but nervous and I advised him to book a half-hour session and see how it goes with the intention of finding a place and person that he feels comfortable buying a full massage once a week for a month since he needs therapeutic work on the body. Point is, the facilities at the two locations I've been to were clean, inviting, and the staff was always appropriately friendly and helpful. How I started with this place was from a Groupon to another massage therapist (Adam) who said I needed a lot of work (which I already knew) and told me he worked with Oak Haven as he was pursuing different avenues in the healing arts but he has a few people at Oak Haven that he really trust with his body and recommended me to them.

The first time I visited Oak Haven Massage, I had a great experience with Christian. He was kind,…read moreknowledgeable, and tailored the massage to my preferred pressure level. My experience with him encouraged me to sign up for the membership, which I tried out for a few months. The price is reasonable at $90 per month which includes one 50 minute massage with a tier 1 therapist. Tier 2 and above are an additional cost. I tried a few different tier 1 therapists and unfortunately didn't have a very relaxing or positive experience with any of them. I also found appointments consistently started late but ended exactly on time, meaning massage time was cut by 5-10 minutes. This was frustrating and needs to be addressed.
