I have loved my nails each time I left the salon. Ava went to the salon for color change, but also wanted to put her own chrome that she had brought from home on her nails. She doesn't realize that people go to the salon for the service of getting their nails done. The prices are set for the labor cost and not product. As she mentioned, she came in for a gel polish change. If she wanted chrome on her nails, she would need to apply the chrome, gel top coat AND then cure it with the UV light that the nail technician clearly provided. It's like me bringing my own cup to McDonald's to get a fountain drink, but not pay because it's my cup and not the McDonald's cup. ‍

This little establishment is behind the 7-11 on Burke Road. They used to be called Danielle's Hair and had large hair salon with one pedi chair. Upon walking in, I was amazed to see that they had actually renovated the place. Nails are the primary and hair is secondary. Off to the side were banks of pedi stations. There are also a couple of rows of mani stations. When you walk in, you can select from an array of regular or gel polish. Christina was my technician and she was SO nice. Their pedi prices range from basic($25) to full spa with add-ons ($55). I splurged. It was so nice to get a clay mask and hot stone with my pedi. Lee worked on my 4th of July designs and she was precise. There was no rushing a pedi here. The prices are comparable to my old location. This place is 3-5 minutes from my home.

I had a picture and everything, and I picked the color out. Thai, the nail artist went back and picked a color she thought was closer to my picture. I figured she would know better than me. Tell me why she chose a sparkly nail polish, just clear with pink sparkles! I cry. It looked nice sure but it wasn't the color I wanted. My toes literally look like nothing is painted on! My finger nails were just glittery and when I said it wasn't pink enough, a male worker came over and was getting defensive. I showed him the pic and he was like "that's chrome"! When we did chrome on my one nail to try it came out as white chrome with some pink undertones. At this time it had been 3 hours so I was over it. Also, the gel wasn't painted flat, idk how to explain it but it's lumpy. I settled for the white chromey look and it was pretty but not what I wanted. I think they just don't have the color or I have to be so specific like I want this exact number, don't switch it up on me. She performs the payment transaction and then walks back to wax my LIPS. When I ask her to please wash her hands, she gives me a mean stare. I repeat my request for her to wash her hands. She goes into the bath and runs water over her hands and uses NO soap. She did the lip wax, which was more plucking than waxing. Then I ask her to wax my chin. When she begins to pluck it instead, I told her no thank you. I paid her and left. Will never be back- UNSANITARY and poor customer service.
