Had a great experience at Her Nails for our first time gel manicure. The staff were nice and very mindful of the booked appointments for the day. The lady that greeted us seemed to know by heart who had booked at what time and would greet the people coming in with their respective names and set them up with the services. It did feel a bit frantic and rushed at the beginning that I didn't get to look long and hard at all the colors since there was a lot of options to look at and they had set up our stations already. But overall it was a nice, welcoming, and straightforward service. The place is clean, and the staff immediately clean up their stations once they finish working on a customer!

We're new to the area and it's always such a pain finding a place to do your nails! This business was fantastic! It has a Chic, clean, and relaxing ambience. Though they were very busy and we walked in without an appointment, they seated my daughter and I immediately! I had a wonderful spa pedicure with Jenny who did a fantastic massage and paint job on my gel pedicure. She fixed my caterpillar eyebrows too. She was very sweet, funny and professional. My daughter had a kids pedicure which was well done and pretty. The only critique I have is that it's rather pricy relative to other businesses in the area who offer similar services: $25 added price to whichever service you choose for a gel pedicure, $15-25 gel removal, $60 spa pedicure, and $25 for a kids pedicure. I didn't catch how much eyebrows were but it ended up being $125 before tip. I'll be back to see Jenny, but I think I'll take my kiddo to a less expensive place next time she wants her toes done.

Anne did such a beautiful job on my nails today! I'm seriously blown away at her attention to detail. I also appreciated how clean everything was. They have single use scrubbers and everything else came out of steri packs. I'll definitely be back!

I was contemplating if I should write about this but I just want others to be aware of what to expect when you go there. I made an appointment for Wednesday evening to have a manicure and when I had walked in, someone helped me. But this one lady felt the need to say out loud that she can't help me while eating whatever she was eating. And it wasn't in a nice tone. Anyway, I get my nails done and while I'm getting my nails done, I'm on the phone with a friend to past time cause my nail technician didn't seem to want to talk(another thing you should be aware of about this place)(also another thing to point out is they were not busy and had not seemed to be busy for awhile.) A little while later while I'm getting my nails done, the lady that said she can't do my nails starts working with this woman who came in for an appointment and asked her to work with her. As I'm having a somewhat serious conversation on the phone, I hear someone behind me laugh. I could tell it was the lady nail technician because the lady she was working on wasn't talking to her, so I could tell someone was eavesdropping on my conversation. I turn around and see the girl she's working with and she seems uncomfortable because she knows I'm looking to see who laughed at my conversation. Thankfully I had my nails done by then and was about to leave. Needless to say, I will not be coming back and I would think twice if you are thinking about going there. read more

I had a appointment for my daughter and myself. I had to still wait 30 min. This was terrible this one lady filed my daughters nail to much and she started bleeding she was being to rough on her. My nail's normally last at least two weeks, I have artificial nails with gel and it lasted a couple days and all my nails either broke or chipped. Unfortunately, I will not return. read more

Read reviews on yelp and made appt w Tanya. She is fantastic. I train a lot and my feet get pretty beaten up. Tanya went out of her way to restore my feet by sloughing off dead skin, removing cuticles and shaping nails. It was a beneficial and relaxing pedicure. I'ven coming to Her Nails & Spa for a few years now. Today, I had my first parafine pedicure with Tanya. IT WAS AMAZING. She carefully cleaned my toes and painted them meticulously. I also had a manicure with here. This was my second time. I have a lot of problems with my cuticles and dry skin around the nails. Tanya took her time to do an amazing manicure. Brian did my nails along with Quen(I'm sorry I know I spelled it wrong) and they both did an amazing job. Stayed after closing for over an hour doing my nails and they turned out perfect. I normally go to DC to get my nails done but I'm happy I found someplace I love so close to me. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone I know. read more

I thought i would try this place out because it was new. It's very clean and the customer service is good. However the services weren't that great. I barely got a scrub on the pedicure, he cut my toe nails off when I didn't ask for it, and my cuticles did not get cleaned very well. I didn't get the 7 min massage for the manicure that the website indicated. It was more like 30 seconds for each hand. read more

Love the cleanliness and availability for walk ins. Always very nice and and amenable. Have a great little drink station offering water, soda and wine even, although they many times forget to attend to you in this regard and ask what you want to drink, so that's hit or miss depending on nail tech. I have been to many different nail techs and I really enjoyed Ricky's gel manicure today. Quick and he listened to me about my nail situation and added a harder coat. This place is fire!!! When a new spot opened up near my house I had to check it out and after two trips I can say this place is legit. For one, you can book your appointment online and receive text confirmations and reminders which I love. Hellloooo 21st century! The space has a very high-end feel and that "new nail salon" level of clean. They have more color options than I've ever seen, their services are on point and somehow, their prices are still better than most salons in the area. And yes, their dip technique is unparalleled. I got a dip manicure with ombre on the ring finger of each hand and left feeling like an Instagram model. If you haven't gone, what are you waiting for? read more

I was recommended this place, and I'm glad I went! TeeTee and got a powder dip. I work with my hands and can be hard on my nails. This was a good start to my Friday morning! I had acrylic nails on from the past place I went to and they did a horrible job but THANKFULLY I found this new nail spot because the service was awesome! she didn't cut me and she took her time! My dip manicure is going on 4 weeks and still looking perfect! My pedicure is also still looking shiny and smooth. My nail technician took her time to shape and dip/paint my nails and I never felt rushed when I was there. I had such an amazing experience here that I felt like I had to share. I called around 5:40 PM to see if they were still taking clients, and even though they were closing at 6, they told me to come in. I let them know it would take me about 15-20 minutes to get there, and they were completely okay with it. I arrived at 5:58, literally right before closing, and they still welcomed me without hesitation and treated me like any other customer. Xuan was the one who took care of me, and she was absolutely incredible. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. I honestly felt a little guilty coming in so close to closing time, but she never once made me feel rushed or like I was an inconvenience. She took her time and made sure everything was done perfectly. As a mom of three boys, I was feeling really overstimulated and just needed a moment to relax, and she gave me exactly that. From start to finish, the experience was calming, peaceful, and exactly what I needed. I left feeling completely satisfied and so grateful. I even told her before I left that she has no idea how much I truly appreciated her. This was my first time visiting, and it exceeded all my expectations. The salon itself is absolutely beautiful, clean, and has such a calming atmosphere. I started coming to this salon in June, and while Tanya was truly excellent, the service quality has noticeably declined since her departure. The most frustrating part has been the complete disregard for client scheduling and preferences. For my August 2nd appointment alone, the salon changed my booking five times--without explanation. This wasn't an isolated incident either; a previous appointment I had booked with Tanya was also changed last minute, and I was reassigned to someone else without my consent. Despite specifically requesting both my manicure and pedicure with Tanya, I was switched to Jenny without notice. Unfortunately, the experience with Jenny did not meet expectations. The way this business operates now feels careless and dismissive--as if accommodating customers is an inconvenience rather than a core part of their service. I have been going here since they opened and never had a bad experience. Until the last time. I made an appointment and the man that did my pedicure not only dropped my wallet in the pedicure bath, he sliced open my foot when he was exfoliating. Then another person did my nails and told me that I should be more careful. Really!!!!!!!! I didn't want to write this review but it has been really bugging me and I have to get it off my chest. If you want to have your belongings dropped in a bath, then have your foot cut open and then be told that you should be more careful then this place is just for you. read more

What a wonderful experience, what a terrific salon! It's beautiful inside, clean and spacious. We were greeted immediately, everyone that works there was nice and pleasant. I loved the pampering! We got the deluxe pedicure, and boy was it deluxe. Emily was awesome and did an amazing job. I felt relaxed and take care of , from the minute I entered to the moment I left the salon. Cindy is the new Nails, Waxing, Facial and Chair Massage specialist. Cindy is replacing Nina who is back in China visiting her family. It is unclear if she will return. Nevertheless, I was expecting great things, "but it was not meant to be Sherry." Let's get into the experience of yesterdays adventure at Umi Nails. I arrived early and was greeted by Vicky The Owner of Umi Nail. I saw Cindy (who is the new Spa Specialist) working on a guest. Taking seat I waited for my turn to be serviced. About 30 minutes after my start time Cindy finished with the current client. I saw Cindy look in my direction several times and I wondered what was going through her mind. THE PEDICURE EXPERIENCE:: 30 minutes after my start time, I was invited to take a seat Spa Chair. Luke warm water was used in the spa chair. Oh, and Umi Nails does provided the disposable plastic covers along with the blue disinfectant powder. Cindy soaked my nails for about ten minutes after asking her. I wanted my nails and cuticles to me soft. Cindy cut my nails, cuticles and sanded them down. She even used the electric sand drill too. However, I wasn't satisfied with the end results. I did not say anything till she said she was done. The pedicure was not to my satisfaction and I asked politely to do a little more of the left big toenail and touch up work on the others. Cindy did one hell of a job on the Cucumber Melon leg mask and foot massage. It is because of the foot massage, I went for the Chair Massage. Apparently I am the first customer to have it done. It was well worth it for twenty minutes after the pedicure. THE MASSAGE CHAIR EXPERIENCE: The chair massage is located just past the costume jewelry. The massage chair is in the second part of store where where a bunch of doors are. It is a quieter area of the shop, but you are still out in the open where you can be seen. Cindy did great work on my legs and feet that I tried the chair massage. The twenty was a tester to see how I would like a massage put in the open. Although no one entered the shop while being massaged by Cindy, I did feel very relaxed. Almost to the point where I could have fallen asleep. Since it is a chair massage and the fact I did twenty minutes only, only my upper back, lower back and some glutes were done. Still, the massage chair experience is worth it. THE WAXING EXPERIENCE: Now what wasn't great was Cindy's waxing. Granted Vicky wanted to learn/ get experience at doing waxing and I was cool with this. I had already told Vicky about getting a Brazilian Waxing Job done. This was no surprise to Vicky, but when the time came to get my waxing done, Cindy bec as me very shy. I was told by Vicky that Cindy won't do Brazilian Waxing on me. Seriously?! This was the work I needed the most attention to. This came as a surprise to Vicky, because she had this sheepish grin on her face when she had to explain why Cindy wouldn't do the Brazilian Waxing. Cindy wouldn't even do full legs because is is too shy. Turns out attention to detail isn't Cindy's strong points, because I had to repeatedly show her areas of my half legs she missed. She was rushing and seemed to be getting impatient with me even though I was polite and giving her chance after chance to fix the problems. Vicky had a client so she wasn't there to witness the failure to remove hair. Vicky is not trained in waxing either so this option is lost. Upon leaving I got the feeling I wasn't very welcome back. To be perfectly honest, Cindy did me a favor by not doing the Brazilian Waxing. If her attention to detail is this inapt, I would be better going elsewhere. Nina had more courage to work on me than Cindy. More importantly, Nina's attention to detail is better suited for me and other people. Thanks for your time Vicky, but I think I will look elsewhere.
