They were friendly, quick, efficient. I was in and out. It would be ready in a few days. Well 2 months later I finally get around to picking it up. The suit looked great as did the shirt. I brought in my wedding dress after years of neglect (and mold) and it came back looking brand new.

This is a tough one. Everyone is really friendly here and I've been in several times. I had a pair of jeans that I brought in for a repair...the waistband separated from the leg about 3 inches. All they had to do was stitch it back. The lady said it would be $15.50 which I thought was really high but she said she would remove the leather patch and stitch it all the way through. I thought if she's going to do all that work it was worth it so I left my jeans there and scheduled to pick them up in a week. The photo is what I got. They stitched through the leather patch and through a belt loop!!! Are you kidding me!! She fixed it but the patch is still screwed up a bit and it wasn't removed like we talked about. Not a big deal but definitely not worth $15.50...more like a $5 job that took 1 minute of time. I wouldn't come here again for any repairs or alterations. read more

I brought 1 item with two areas for alteration to Harold cleaners. They took about a week and then I picked up my item. One of the two areas of alteration still had a safety pin in it and had clearly not been touched. They charged me $20 for the other alteration but when I got home I realized that they had not touched that either. They wasted my time and took my money to do absolutely nothing. I can't imagine a worst customer service experience than this. I do not recommend this business. read more

I brought many items for dry cleaning, one of which was a white skirt. I have just opened the plastic covering that my skirt was in and noticed yellow spots all over my skirt after being charged for the dry cleaning. Cannot trust this place for dry cleaning as they will charge you full price without removing the stains. Now I am going to use a new dry cleaner to re-clean this item. read more

I was recently in desperate need of a cleaners (on a Sunday) and I was overjoyed to find that there was only one open in Walnut Creek. Come to discover, Yelp had the wrong hours of operations (I updated them) and they were, in fact, closed Sundays - like every other dry cleaners in America. BUT - when I got up to the door and discovered they were closed, the owner just came to the door, let me in and took my order. I couldn't believe it. I have brought both high end (armani suits) and low end clothing. The prices are reasonable for women's dresses as well - which I have found to be ridiculous at other cleaners in the area. I absolutely love this dry cleaner - I don't know how, but the moment I walk in the owner always remembers me and greets me with a smile and just knows off the top of her head whatever clothes I have there - and I don't go that often. Doesn't deserve a single star!!! Should've stayed away after my first experience. A few years ago I took a black and white dress to be dry cleaned. Rather than test the fabric in an inconspicuous location, like under the hem, they tested right at the V on the neckline. The black bled into the white. They told me to take it back to the store because it's not their fault. The store would not return it. After about a year of carrying this dress in my trunk because I didn't have the heart to throw a $200 dress in the trash, I had to throw it in the trash. Fast forward to now. My coworkers said they do great alterations so I thought I would give them another try. I never wrote a review after my first experience because I never judge someone based on one time. For convenience sake, and my coworkers recommendation, I took my sons college pull over sweatshirt in for a new zipper. The first attempt was horrible. The stitching was crooked! They offered to re-do it. I was feeling hopeful this was going to turn out well. Unfortunately that's not the case. The second attempt was worse, which I didn't think was possible!! STAY AWAY! I've used this place a couple times prior to my recent experience and it was fine. The owners are very polite and nice people and I received my items back in great condition (dirty white jacket was almost completely fresh again). I never needed rush service so I cannot speak for that. It is a little pricey but its downtown WC so I imagine the rent is quite high. My most recent experience could've been better. I brought in a cardigan with dyed goat suede patches on the elbows. The wash instructions clearly said to cover the patches up prior to professional dry clean and I pointed that out upon dropping it off. They felt the suede and said it should be no problem so I left confident and didn't give it a second thought. I picked it up a week later and the the dye had bled onto my sleeves. It was then that they told me that they in fact cannot cover the patches, only buttons, and said it was a dye problem with the garment. I work with suede, real leather, and faux leather in my industry so I'm confident that dyed suede no matter what will leach if exposed to cleaning products or water. I want to trust in the fact that they are experts but my research and call to the designer has told me that this was in fact not a dye problem but just an oversight. I wish they would've just told me they couldn't do it in the first place or done better spot testing prior to the clean. They charged me the $9.50 at first but when I went back they gave me $10 as an apology. I did not ask for depreciated compensation for my 5 month old $350 cardigan. I know they were eager to not hear about it. I will probably try them again for shirts/slacks and other easy items but I will not be bringing in special items or using any of their tailor services as I don't quite trust their expertise anymore. read more

I stopped by to have a jacket and a pair of jeans to be mended. My jacket needed a new zipper as well as the lining to be redone in the pocket. My favorite jeans were fringing in the thigh areas ( I was pretty pleased with the tailoring. The tailoring on the jacket is superb, and the jeans were re-enforced with internal patch and more stitching. For a first timer using their tailoring, I was pleased. read more

Been using this cleaner for the past 6 months with positive/par experiences. No problems, until today, I picked up my white dress shirt and there was a yellow stain on the collar, and black spots on the front and back of the shirt. I did not know about the spots until I left the store. I did not recall having a stain on the collar like that and asked the lady about it, and she said that they could not remove it. Did not mention anything about the black spots on the shirt that I know were not there when I brought the shirt in. Very disappointed that they did not disclose the stains. If they were up front about it, I would continue to give them business. Instead, I will be finding a new cleaner. Be honest with your customers and you will never lose them. read more

Took my clothes here once but never again. All my shirts still had stains around the collar as if they had been pressed but never washed. I took my stuff to Pacific Heights Cleaners and they were able to get the collar stains out, but not completely. read more
