My initial encounter with store @ Charleston was positive until...I purchased a horrible product that actually made my hair condition worse. I attempted to discuss the product and was immediately met with "we don't return opened products from vendors." I was immediately waved aside so they could attend to the next "paying" customer. While I understand the policy, the entire establishment is littered with signs touting "caring about your health" which is a contradiction as staff can suggest a product and later taking no accountability! Ok, that's your policy however, upon researching some of the "natural" manufacturers, they lead to bot created websites; So again, no remedy for me! - I'd hoped for a true, farmers market of herbs, run by honest people...but I now realize they have an excellent visual marketing team and well placed signs! The classes don't have any handouts. It took so much to try and write down all the information. Then I was talking about an overactive bladder with a rep. She talked about pelvic floor exercises and I said "Yes I practice those" and she goes "yeah, not just kegals" Her tone felt like she was insinuating I wasn't knowledge past basics and it was odd because I do numerous things. Another day, I was asking a single cashier a question at the counter and there's 5 people back there. They get quiet and just stare at me. Made me really uncomfortable, so I had to lower my voice so much so they would get the hint. Not sure why they can't allow me to get helped by one person and mind what they were doing before I approached. As I left the table that was set up at the front had two women there and they were talking to everyone that passed by... except for me when i walked past 4 times. I have to say it -- you all need to treat your poc customers the same as the other customers. And that table thing had happened on two different visits. I feel like when I go in there, they view me as a threat when I'm simply shopping like everyone else . Outside of the customer service, herbs are great. OMG coming into this store is so overwhelming but not a bad overwhelming more of a sigh of relief and peace. When i first walked in i was greeted with some nice aromatherapy and a big smile and cheerful voice. The staff is so welcoming here and full of knowledge. Erin assisted me from the time i walked in until it was time for her break and im forever grateful for her. I told her the reason for my visit and everything i was hoping to get help from and she had an answer / solution for every last one . Thought these were really great people. They helped me a lot with a complex health issue. Today I go there with family and Charity tells me we returned too many things to them and they're targeting me saying it's the last time I can return things (even with receipt) because they said multiple team members are talking about me behind my back saying I return a lot. Not enough they talk behind my back, they lie too. Repeatedly, multiple team members said the herbally grounded branded supplements are fine to return even without receipt but apparently not for me. By the way, I barely return stuff. Maybe 3-4 products across the last couple months I bought tons of stuff that I didn't return. I am very thoughtful and hesistant before buying stuff. I only return if I get a health reaction which I did. The capelli capsules made my eye inflamed like crazy and chronic itchy and blurred vision. They should be thankful I told them about the reaction because it could be a harmful thing to customers. They want to hurt the loyal customers? They want to spread lies behind my back and avoid me at the store randomly today when I told them all the brutal health stuff I faced for a long time and came in with chronic problems and I was still polite to everyone while suffering just to get herbs and they saw the state I was in? That is how to lose business. Remember, there are other sellers of products. You guys are expensive and gonna fail with this attitude.
