When I called Friday morning, I was told that I was most likely right that the starter motor wasn't engaging the engine properly, and that they should be able to fix it with no problem. He gave me an initial ballpark figure of 200-250, but later the total was just under 300 due to the cost of the part and the labor to replace it. I wish they had given me an itemized receipt, but the gentleman there was friendly and seems to have been thorough in repairing the car. I will probably use their services again, but this isn't my first choice of shop. They are open from ~8 AM until 5:30 Monday through Friday, and ~8 AM until 12 noon Saturday. Either way, I would recommend coming here if you're in the area and need assistance.

I was…read morehoping Richard's Automotive could fix a coolant leak in a Ford F150 Turbo, a 13-hour billable repair and about $2,300.00. After 10 days (eight working days) and multiple excuses/lies I got my truck back with the front tires rubbing when turning, turbo leaks, and a check engine light with a turbo error displayed within 20 miles of pick-up, all documented by Ford. I gave Richard's Automotive the opportunity to be a responsible business and make good on their bad repair, they chose to defend the undefendable. Luckily, Ford was able to correct their incomplete or poor repair, provided video and written evidence that Richard's Automotive did not complete the repair correctly. Unfortunately, the Ford repair of Richard's Automotive negligence cost me an additional $1,400.00. I warn potential customers of this: if your repair is taking too long and the excuses pile up, you should be concerned with the quality of their work. Don't drive off without first test driving the vehicle.

I called again, and was told that my car was in a bay being worked on. When I told him I had just driven by and seen that it was not, he said there "was another car out back" of the same make, model, and color of my car that he and another employee had both apparently "mistaken for mine" on what was now 4 seperate occasions. I went in for transmission fluid change and general maintenance and mentioned that I didn't have air conditioning. After doing all requested work, they looked at the AC unit and told me that I needed to replace one small part, but they could only get it if I ordered the whole unit, which would have cost me around $500. Somehow they managed to machine the clutch (or some kind of mechanic magic) and make it work-- they didn't even charge me. I'm thankful they tried all they could because I would have died this summer without AC! I always go to Hometown Auto to fix my car and will continue to. Glad I found them!
