I visited on President's Day and it was a tad busy inside the store; but that's to be expected as it was busy everywhere! To be honest, the reason I stopped in here is because I saw the F*R*I*E*N*D*S gear repping Ventura. I will always be a tourist in my town. :) And, could I *be anymore serious? :) Staff was friendly; not too pushy. I loved that the store had a very "open" feeling inside, too. I get frustrated sometimes in stores Downtown that are cramped inside because I am always afraid I am going to knock something over. The souvenirs are really nice and well-made, too. Definitely does *not have the Vegas gift-shop vibe, if that makes sense. These items aren't mass produced...and you can tell. You can tell they mean something, too. I ended up getting a few stickers and a birthday present. I would definitely recommend stopping in here next time you're Downtown.

I am not sure how I missed this jewel of a gift store on my many visits to Ventura and Main Street…read morein particular. Where do I start. They have such interesting merchandise including an assortment of unique gift cards, maps, pictures, stylish hats, scarves, and rare books to name just a percentage of what they have to offer. The sales associate was very friendly and helpful. He even tried on a hat I wanted to buy my husband and was concerned about the size. He let me know they take returns within 30 days with the receipt and original tagging. Fortunately it fit! This amazing shop is on Main Street which is closed to through traffic. There is free publick parking just down the street at the Museam of Ventura County. It is also in a great location for other speacialty stores and eateries.

small businesses often thrive on personal and reasonable service to repeat clients and customers…read more my BF had bought me a lotion from there. it was not the scent i normally buy from there (and i'm very sensitive to scents). all i wanted to do was exchange an unopened untouched box/bottle of the lotion for a different smell. same price, same brand. wouldn't have cost them anything. however, we evidently came in three days past their exchange "window" and they were completely inflexible. I have a small business myself and to me it's more important to provide service to my clients that will support the ongoing relationship and reputation rather than holding rigidly to small print to "protect" a $20 transaction. This store does not hold the same business philosophy that i do. that said, Copperfield's has lost any future business or referrals from my family who have been repeat customers for years.

On a warm afternoon we were greeted by air conditioning and a friendly welcome from the woman working there. Both were a nice treat as we spent a little time downtown. The usage of the high ceilings and historic space in the boutique are glorious to behold. They featured fresh flower bouquets, clothing, jewelry and other accessories, lotions, and gift items. Several delineated sections focus on various themes and colors. There's so much to see! It would take a while to view the bulk of the goodies for sale. The shopkeeper mentioned that they have another location further up Main Street. While I didn't but anything this time, I could easily be persuaded to return and dig deeper!

Regardless, I really like a lot of things here, but speaking honestly, I found the prices to be a bit on the pricey side... not surprising for a gift store, but still, I found myself more justifying why I shouldn't buy it as opposed to convincing myself that I absolutely "needed" to have it.... or even buy as gifts for others. I attended one of the book clubs, where everyone expressively and passionately explained the moments they liked and didn't like from the book. I would never have read such an entertaining and creative book if not for Smitten's book club. The book discussion made me like the book even more through everyone's inspiring analysis. One of the gals mentioned they knew the owner of the place that we should check out the store and see if the owner was in town. While waiting for the owner we took a look around and found some cute, fun and funny things! They had a Christmas tree decorated with camping themed merchandise which of course caught our attention. They had a little bit of everything for almost everyone and any age. Well, maybe not for infants at least i don't recall seeing anything for infants. The found the prices on some of the merchandise to be reasonable. Some of the clothing were on the pricey side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't purchase the really cute, and funny kitchen towels, I did purchase a couple of stickers (I enjoy stickers!). This business will find me here again if ever in the area.

I found something for my aunt to make as a gift. She's making a goal to get around to all of the National Parks, and is steadily chipping away at it. There is an older white haired man who works there who stands right by you and has bad gas.
