My experience with Heritage Roofing & Construction, specifically Megan B (Managing Partner), has been beyond unacceptable. I submitted a warranty repair request on April 3, 2026 and paid $250 after discovering a leak in my bathroom ceiling--during a period of heavy rain in Texas, when timing actually matters. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took FIVE days just to get a response on April 8th.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I replied the very next day, April 9th, and then was completely ignored.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I followed up repeatedly on April 13th, sending all requested documentation. Update 2 - we are still having a leaking roof! We finally heard back from heritages warranty dept (Meghan) they've sent their warranty crew out to our home for a second time finding themselves liable for also not cleaning up after themselves as well as not properly sealing the hi hat vents on the roof which is now caused leaks in three of my rooms. They finally refunded our warranty charge of $250 because they were proven liable. However [[HIGHLIGHT]]We've been given nothing but the runaround from her and she's now unresponsive to our emails and we still have leaks causing more damage in our bathroom after we just had them fixed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This company is completely incompetent of handling these issues and don't stand behind their workmanship or lack there of. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They don't call you and have a call center to screen their calls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have bills now surmounting and they don't want to pay those from the damages their roof as caused. I will continue to write updates until we are satisfied with their fix and they pay us for the damages. UPDATE: We now 11 months later have damage to our home due to a poorly installed roof. They failed to clean up after the job and proceeded to stuff our gutter full of roofing materials. We got a flat tire due to a roofing nail left behind and find nails in our driveway after hard rains a lot. Needless to say the back up of water caused our water to hit our stone and create a leak which then went into our home in our office and bathroom. Well they failed to do that. They sent a guy who couldn't speak English and brought a chalk gun and a crow bar and proceeded to push more debris down our gutter. They them claimed it wasn't a warranty issue and wiped their hands clean of the situation. Meanwhile I have water in my home as well as damage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sam, Who was our sales person was kind enough to help us find people to help us during the rains to help prevent the continued flooding.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But now we are left with bills that Heritage is responsible for. Update 6/2/2026: I had a roofer that I have known for 10 years come check my roof, there is not a single bare patch showing the roof decking. Devon Barrett specifically showed me a picture reflecting that there was decking showing. I asked my roofer how much longer the roof might last, he said I might get another 10 years out of vs Mr. Barrett trying to make me think that I was in dire need of a full roof replacement. All I can say is do not use them and if you do and they rip you off, shame on you for using a company with such a low Yelp score. Original: I gave a guy permission to do a roof inspection and he opened claim with my insurance company. My guess is if I were a guy that there is no way this would have occurred. What a nightmare. Heritage Roofing replaced our Hail Damage Roof. They broke the water heater vent pipe and did the poor jobs on shingles installed. After four attempts to fix the leaks but the roof is still leaking which caused damages on the drywall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Three times they showed up unannounced. I had to rush home to meet them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]During this time, Nathan, the salesperson, kept asking for the last payment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now his boss is threatening that warranty work will be put on hold until job is paid in full. I'm not sure what she's talking about. Fixing these problems is not warranty work. It's construction defects workmanship. I guess they tried to get us to pay and do the warranty claim so they can charge us the $250 fee like we read from other people complained. Never heard of warranty claim fee before. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went to their office because calling only get to talk to the call center. Note the high number of 1 star reviews. I should have paid more attention to that before contracting Heritage to do my roof. It took almost an entire year from when they tore out my old roof until the new roof was finally done with all the damage repaired. This required countless texts, phone calls, and emails and hours of my time or else the project was stalled with no communication. Reading many other reviews with the same experience shows this is not a unique case. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My experience with Roman was good until I signed the contract. He was often unresponsive to messages and provided no proactive communication when plans changed or materials or crews were delayed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When it came to collecting payment though, that was one of the few times Roman actively communicated, quite harshly and at one time escalated to heated yelling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were no invoices, just a text from Roman for an amount that did not match the quote and nothing to back up why it changed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then he would threaten me that I was "putting the whole project at risk" when I wanted a simple explanation why it wasn't the contracted amount before I would pay it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Later I had Nathan managing my project, and he was better but he also struggled with delays with no communication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wanted a high quality, class 4 roof and Roman recommended the Malarky brand shingles, but what he failed to mention was that Malarky shingles should not be walked on when temperatures are above 90 degrees or they will be damaged. When my solar panels were reinstalled on a normal June day in Texas, every step on the roof destroyed the brand new shingles. These shingles are not an acceptable option for this climate, and replacement shingles I found out are very hard to come by in this area, so double check Heritage's recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want to risk it with these guys, make sure you get ALL the specific roof details in writing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Roman told me I was going to be getting the high profile EZ Ridge XT hip and ridge cap shingles, but they installed the cheaper RidgeFlex instead. Heritage at first denied responsibility and said I got what was agreed to, but after posting this review, they provided a refund for the difference in cost, so I wanted to credit them for taking that positive step. Few other items: The person who referred them to me didn't receive their referral check until I had to repeatedly request it. My driveway was scratched up from the forklift delivering the shingles. There were many nails and debris left in my yard and my neighbors yard after tearing out the old roof. The solar attic fans were improperly installed according to the instructions. read more

The roof went up fast enough, but they did insist on working with the insurance directly to "prevent delays in payment." Once the roof was on there I started noticing some things were not right and asked them to get it corrected. Instead of fixing them, they wanted the remainder of the payment. Once I paid them the rest to get those things fixed, I never heard from them again. They left aluminum ductwork in the attic completely disconnected and adjusted the gutter where the roof was simply not connected. Now my gutter is misaligned and dumps water out right by my front door. Even after showing pictures and saying they would come fix it, nobody ever followed up and got this done. When I reached out to have this addressed under warranty, I was told I needed to pay a deposit just for them to come out and inspect it. That alone raises concerns about how their "lifetime warranty" is actually applied. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What made the experience worse was the lack of communication. My experience with Heritage was strange. The agent assigned to my case was incredibly responsive at first (but wasn't around during the work as promised) and made big promises about rebates. Eventually he became oddly pushy about payment and later increasingly unresponsive until he went MIA. I had to contact the company because of the loose ends. Nick called me back, informed me that my agent was no longer at the company. Was surprised about the promises made, but importantly: came through and fulfilled everything. The roof job was all done in one day. They did manual tearoff and removal. As a result there was zero damage to our shrubs and plants....we greatly appreciate that. Super aggressive Heritage roofer/salesman knocked on my door and told me they had just done the "Edmunson's" roof and that we had a large hail storm and I probably had roof damage. I told him we had not had hail. He told me insurance would pay for a new roof. I could not get rid of him. He would not leave. I told him several times I did not want him to go on my roof. Again, he would not leave. He told me he would not go on my roof and that he would just take pictures with a drone. I told him fine, take pictures with a drone but do not go on to my roof and that I did not need a new roof. I closed the door and assumed he had taken pictures with a drone and left. Approximately 20 -30 minutes later there was another knock on my door. It was another Heritage roofer. The first guy was stuck on my roof and could not get down. They had to come through my house with a ladder and go out on a balcony so the roofer who had been told multiple times not to go on my roof could get down! I was furious. He flat out lied to me. I do not know what company needs to come to people's houses unsolicited, lie to them, trespass on their property and damage it in order to get business, but I would stay miles away from Heritage. read more

I needed a Official Roof Inspection report to negotiate with the seller, who misled us about the age of the roof. I got the contact of Will McCann from my Home inspector... Will was quite communicative and made himself available on a busy schedule (most roof folks are also busy at this time). He was able to squeeze in the request within 3 days of contacting him and provided an official quote. I called multiple other roof inspectors to provide an official note in writing, no one else was either willing to put it in writing or were unavailable or said that they will check, but never got to it. I hate to be a downer to the 5 star reviews. Per a signed contract, they were to do my roof and siding where we had extensive hail damage. The main reason for choosing the company was so they could do all the work at one time. In March, due to a scheduling error, my contractor did not get the siding done and said that he would get on it ASAP. It is now June 29th. After contacting him multiple times from March, not him contacting me, he said that he can't find anyone to do the siding for the amount provided. Had he been upfront, I could have talked to my bank about referrals to other companies for the repairs. Since I was spending over $22,000 on a roof; I didn't foresee them leaving me hanging. They did say they would get Hardie siding and take a hit which I was blown away they were willing to fix it but apparently that fell through. They were so nice at first saying they would go above and beyond. He worked extremely hard to get my business but I had my doubts through the whole process and I wish so much I had listened to my gut. They did really good on my roof though to be fair. They also were to paint the siding and build a shelf. The shelf wasn't cut right and left completely with no sealing. See pictures below of the work. He said he was on his way to my house to give me a reimbursement and didn't even have the courage to bring me the check. He left it in my mailbox. He didn't give me an option to pay more for siding, just told me he wasn't doing it and bringing me a check. read more

I usually never trust contractors going door to door to push their services. I knew I needed a new roof so when Will McCann promised a free estimate. Why Not? It's free. He and his assistant climbed my roof to look. Nope, I'm afraid of heights so no way was I going up there. Once he was back on the ground, he inquired who my insurance was with. One thing lead to another and we called my insurance. My insurance inspector could make it out the following week, Will said he'd come back to be here. True to his word, he was back, talked to the inspector. I never got the free estimate, instead I basically got a free roof. Because the roof had been damaged by previous hail storms, I was covered. Two days later he dropped off roofing samples. I called and let him know which one I wanted. The following week, they started the job. Will introduced me to the lead man on the team. Will stopped in a few times during the work was being done. If I recall correctly, they were finished the same day. Was it noisy in the house, oh yeah, so my cat wasn't happy. But when it was done, it looked beautiful. The excess product was left on my front lawn. It was promised it would be removed in 2 days and it was. Will also walked the property to make sure all the nails and trash was picked up. He noticed a piece of plastic was under a shingle. He climbed up and removed it. Eight months later my home insurance would be cheaper if I had a new roof. I couldn't find the invoice so I called Will. Next day the invoice was emailed to me. A few months back I contracted Heritage to replace my roof which was damaged by a hail storm. Colton was very communicative during the entire process. They went above and beyond when it came to service, going as far as to replace some of my damaged window screens free of charge. The work wasn't completely without mishap however. The crew accidently damaged one of my water spigots on the home exterior, but Heritage paid the plumber to fix the issue without any hassle. The crew was amazingly fast, and had the roof replaced all in a single day. I've had some trouble with customer service recently which is why I'm only reviewing them as 4 stars for now. read more
