I'm guessing because I have thick, curly hair it was an easy way for her to get some of the bulk out without doing the work of actually layering and shaping my hair. Since my cut, my hair has been much more frizzy due to her thinning out my hair, and now it will take a few years to grow it out. She is labeled as a "master stylist" but honestly I would not agree. I will definitely be looking for another hair salon.

I was unable to see her for a few months and the grey really went crazy - I had about 6" of grey roots growing out from a great set of highlights. This time I saw Jennica, and she knocked it out of the park! It was quite a job not only covering the grey, but making the highlights look like my hair grows out like that naturally - quite a feat. And, not only did she do a KILLER job, but the price was totally reasonable. I was thinking I might have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it. I'm thrilled with my hair and she deserves all of the 5 stars I'm giving her and The Last Resort.

Luckily my planner found The Last Resort! I have long, straight hair that doesn't hold styles well, but I was intent on having romantic waves and curls on my wedding day. Val had me in the salon for a trial run on the day of our rehearsal dinner, and my hair held from about 10 in the morning, through the rehearsal dinner, and until I went to bed that night! The next day (wedding day!) Val and Judy (makeup) met me at the venue to get started. I had a couple of changes I wanted to make to my makeup, and Judy was very receptive and got me the exact look that I wanted. Meanwhile, Val got to work on my hair right away. She also did my (very shy) sister's hair and my (very emotional) mom's hair, and earlier that day had done hair for my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, and friend! I was a little worried about timing, but I sent everyone's requests to Val, and she worked everything out perfectly. My mom was really fretting about her hair, but Val was so reassuring. She is truly skilled at working with hair AND with people! She helped us all feel at-ease and made our hair look beautiful. Instead, she cut my curly hair in a way that created a bulky "cap" on top while leaving uneven length at the bottom. The result was an unmanageable shape that would not lay properly no matter how I styled it. I was later told I "seemed happy" when I left, but as a client I rely on the professional -- the real result shows after living with the haircut. Because of this, I had to go to a third salon to fix the damage. Because of poor corrective work, I went from below-shoulder length hair to a short bob not by choice, but because the damage had to be fixed. Would not recommend for curly hair and actually would not recommend at all

She is such a vibe and I had one of the best experiences with a hair stylist I've ever had in my adult life. She got to know my hair and made her suggestions (I'm not the greatest with how to direct someone to cut my hair, so that helped a lot! She then cut my hair to the desired length I wanted (right above shoulders) and she taught me how to apply creamy product to help quench my curls and gave me some tips about what to stay away from and what to use. I worked with Lisa who was the absolute sweetest. She was charming and made sure the cut I got was what I wanted. I don't usually ask for much with my hair nowadays, but she made me feel comfortable and even recommended saving my measurements and needs in the Great Clips app so they can know for next time. My haircut was done within 15 minutes so just enough time to get it trimmed, inspected, and to give the seal of approval. Shop wise - it was very bright, clean, and played some good music as well. I'll definitely plan on coming back here in the future.
