Had a bewilderingly negative experience here. Brought my RV in for estimate on replacing taillight assembly. They took pictures and we made an appointment for the actual repair. Took it back to my storage unit and the following week brought got it out of storage and drove to this Caliber location for my scheduled repair. They said they didn't have the part in stock, had to order it, and couldn't take the RV in the meantime. I explained I just spent my morning getting the thing out of storage and bringing it there for a SCHEDULED REPAIR APPOINTMENT. The service guy I talked to absolutely couldn't have cared less, offered zero explanation, and I'm not even sure he was able to grasp why I was frustrated and why that was so unprofessional and insane. They knew I was coming for an appointment and they couldn't be bothered to call me and say hey we're not actually prepared for you, let's reschedule. I called Caliber Collision and spoke to Jerry he said if they're not doing the work, they will not lock in the estimate that this is how this location works. I've taken my car to the Santa Monica location twice now due to issues with my car's door handles based on approved locations with insurance. The staff at the location is always friendly and pretty good with communication. They're upfront about costs and usually pretty quick. This most recent time I was in and out for the replacement plus a car wash in under an hour. The only thing that Caliber needs to work on is their automated system which includes texts and calls. I received extra unnecessary calls from other staff who were not my service rep trying to schedule service when my rep at the location was already on top of it and waiting for a paint job to get finished before having me bring my car in to be the most time efficient. read more

I brought my vehicle into caliber collision. It is a rare Mercedes-Benz produced for the millennium and it is a green color that needs to be matched, Specifically . Note this is my second experience with caliber collision as I have a Jeep Wrangler that was serviced about 10 years ago with expertise on Lincoln Boulevard. Upon going to the pico location I was told for my European vehicle needs. I would need to go to 11th and Olympic at that point, My service representative was appointed to me Kevin Martinez did a fabulous job and actually returned my vehicle sooner than needed as I was able to leave town on short notice he did everything to the most utmost professional correspondence and everything was timely he responded to me whenever needed and the work was done with integrity and expertise most importantly I highly recommend anything for your vehicle needs read more

I received a quote on a Thursday with a completion time of 4-5 days. Since I needed to pay for a car rental out of pocket, I waited till Monday morning to bring my car in. I was told I would receive a status update Wednesday. I waited all day Wednesday for an update but never received one. I called them an hour before they close, and they said they started taking apart the pieces earlier that day. Not sure why they had me take my car in on Monday if they weren't going to start till Wednesday. They told me they were painting it Thursday morning and it would ready for pickup end of day Thursday or Friday morning and would call me with an update. They never called me with an update so I had to call them end of day Thursday and they said they were still painting. They said that at the beginning of the day, so they clearly hadn't started painting. They said they would give me an update Friday afternoon. After not receiving an update, I had to call them multiple times only for them to say it wouldn't be ready till Monday. The entire experience with this team was terrible. There was poor communication, inaccurate timelines given, and zero urgency to get my car completed in a timely manner despite having an appointment. After picking up my car, they had moved a basket of tennis balls to my front seat instead of the floor. The leather on the headrest and seat was severely damaged. The woman at the front desk was very nice, but that was my only positive experience. I'd rather pay a higher premium at another shop then go back to this location.  STAY AWAY! read more

This review is for the service advisors and also the kind mechanic and auto technicians who fixed my boyfriend's car Nathan was really communicative and helpful to get our car back to us as our rental coverage was running out. There was a delay due to part availability, but Nathan really made sure that things were expedited for us to get our car in time. The auto technicians / mechanics did a great job with fixing the side doors that were scratched in an accident and the paint job looks solid. No one wants to deal with car issues or get into a car accident, but honestly, they made this experience as best as it could be as they were very helpful and courteous when we called to check in for statuses. I appreciate the patience and kindness of Nathan and the overall staff! Also, Angel was also very kind to answer questions for us while we were dropping off our rental, even when he wasn't our service advisor. Really thoughtful and kind staff; if we deal with car issues in the future, we'll definitely come back to Caliber Collision! Thank you, CC team! I had a very negative experience with Caliber in Santa Monica. I was quoted a $1027 for a tiny dent on my Tesla Y. So I brought it in on Monday to get repaired and the guy who quoted me started back pedaling and lying to me about extra costs with clips or this or that. There are no clips or extra costs involved in a single panel repair and paint job. When i challenged what he was saying he changed his story that we don't work on Teslas. I was furious and I hate being lied to. I will never take my car here again. read more

I recently brought my car here to get my bumper fixed. The repair process seemed fine and I got my car back in a timely manner. However, I ended up having to bring it back in because the rubber guards in the front were not installed properly and peeled off the same night I took my car home. This was an inconvenience as I had to be without my car for longer than expected and I had to keep going back and forth to the repair shop. It was explained to me that the adhesive for the guards didn't work properly the first time because my car had been waxed, which seemed like a mistake that could have been easily avoided. I was willing to look past their error, but I then had a negative experience with the employee I was working with that left me feeling threatened and unsafe. I won't go into details here, but I reached out to the Community Manager 2 weeks ago and still haven't received a response. I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of customer service here and would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

However, after I dropped it off, I got a call saying they had to replace the entire door, which quadrupled the cost. The repair took three weeks, and I had to contact them for updates. When I finally went to pick it up, I waited 45 minutes, causing me to miss an appointment. Not great. read more

HORRIBLE at managing timing of work or getting work done satisfactorily. They told me my vehicle should be in the shop for about 2 weeks and it ended up being almost 2 months! AND there were still more than half a dozen things they didn't fix, so it needed to be brought back for MORE work. It took them another 7 weeks to get those parts. AND they told me that was supposed to be a same day fix, but ended up taking multiple days. AVOID!!!! read more

This was my second fix at Caliber. The first was major damage to the right bumper, fender, quarter panel and passenger side front door and the second fix was a rear window that had been shattered by a thief. My contact at Caliber was Angel who was outstanding. He communicated seamlessly with my insurance adjuster and kept me well informed by call and text every step of the way. All work on the car was done perfectly and when there was one issue about a point match they acknowledged and fixed it promptly and to perfection. The second fix replacing the shattered window was done in a matter of hours which was great as I really needed the car back. We rely on our cars so much in LA and auto damage often causes such disruption and Caliber is amazing at as they say restoring the rhythm of our lives. Just that slogan shows that they get that they're not just fixing machines they're also restoring peace of mind. I took my car in for what I thought would be a $500 deductible replacement of my bumper. wish I had taken a photo; it was pulled off the frame on the rear passenger side. Ivan took a look at it and powerfullyl tucked it back into place saying that I might want to try just going to Subaru and buying some clips there (had come out during the accident). 06/26/24: I received a reply top my Yelp review but have yet to receive a reply from Caliber Collision via email regarding the headlight issue/warranty. Photos attached. I also see that this issue occurred with another customer just 3 months before my review was posted. The lack of accountability, the lack of responding and the lies about a lifetime warranty of services is appalling. Please go tot a more reputable auto repair shop. Caliber Collisions is NOT of high caliber. 06/06/24:Brought my car in for an accident in 2019. Today I called because the headlight they replaced is foggy and yellow and doesn't match the original. It clearly stats on their website that they have a lifetime warranty so I was hopeful I would get some quick help for a replacement headlight cover. I was greeted by helpful front desk service and then transferred to the manager so things were looking good! The manager, however, made it very clear that the shop was "not responsible" for the headlight replacement because the claim was to fix the door of my car and I must have had my information wrong. I assured him that he was mistaken and that I was looking at the photo of my car in front of their shop sign in the parking lot when I dropped it off and that there was no headlight cover because of the accident and the entire passenger front end was fixed, not just the door. He continued to tell me they would not pay but that I could pay out of pocket. He was curt and rude so I matched that and let him know he made it very clear he was not taking any responsibility but that he was rude and had a sh*tty attitude and he then hung up on me :) Poor quality parts + poor quality management + lies about warranty. read more

Looks like I've found my new body shop on the west side! After getting into a fender bender last year, I took my car to Caliber Collision on Lincoln and they took it from there. They kept me updated with texts every day while my car was in the shop and kept their word when they said they would call (which is a rarity nowadays). The staff was super helpful and friendly (shoutout Jocelyn!) and made the whole experience a breeze. ADDITIONALLY, if that wasn't enough - about a week later my, what I thought signal light, was acting funky so I took it to another repair shop and they couldn't fix it nd thought it was "all good." However, the problem kept insisting, so I took it back to CC to see if they had any idea since they worked on the car previously. In about 2 minutes, Jocelyn came out to look at it and figured it was the brake light instead. She asked one of the technicians to come take a look at it and not only did he replace it within a matter of minutes, but they sent me on my way free of charge. DAY = MADE! I went to Caliber Collision on 11th this morning for estimate on my Lexus due to some minor damage in the front of the vehicle. I met with the service advisor Kevin Martinez. He was very nice and knowledgeable about the repair needs. Rather than taking my car in for probably a $1000 repair he was able to get the technician to work some magic and return the car back to me within 20 minutes. It was perfect and no charge (I was a returning customer)! I was stunned but quite pleased. I appreciated the great care I received there today and will ALWAYS return to them in the future. I'm very disappointed with my experience here. I was referred by my insurance company USAA following a car accident. They tried to upsell me several times to fix other parts of my car that wasn't due to the accident and the manager was pushy about it. My biggest complaint is after they told me my car was ready and returned it, I dropped off the rental and came to pick my car up. The second I drove it out of the lot it was still broken, the muffler or something under the car continued to make a loud noise. My agent said they didn't realize it was still making the noise although he was the one to drive it back to me from the repair lot? I had to leave my car to get fixed (again) and go pick up a second rental car. When I picked up my second rental, my agent told me that Caliber would take care of the cost of the rental and not to worry. However, I still had to put a card down to rent the car. My card was charged and Caliber didn't cover a thing, even though the entire thing was their mistake. I tried calling and emailing my agent several times over a 2-3 week period to get my money back for the second rental and he never responded to me. I called to try and reach the manager and every time I called he was either at lunch or in a meeting. Finally, I had to contact someone at the corporate office to get a response from the manager. After all of these communication attempts, they finally returned my money. I was extremely disappointed with the service and communication here, and I would never voluntarily go here again. Between returning a car that was not fixed and charging me out of pocket for a rental for something that was their fault, I would not recommend coming here. Moreover, the cost to repair my car ended up being upwards of $7,000 just to replace a bumper! The part was $1,000 but the service was $6,000! read more
