BE AWARE. CLOTHES DESTROYED IN FIRE. All my clothes were "lost in a fire" apparently. I went to get my clothes today (Tuesday), they were meant to be ready on Friday. However they were not at the store. They apparently burnt in a building fire on Saturday in a different location . Why my clothes were at the mystery location a day late... no one knows. No one will refund, answer my questions. I am hoping someone will respond to this review. Or if you have had the same thing you will help me get in touch with someone who will give me a clear answer. STAY AWAY!! I really don't understand how some business owners run their business and expect to stay in business. It's almost as if they're in the business of pissing people off and the making money is not important to them in the long run. My husband has been going to this place for the last 14 years, EVERY single week religiously! When we got married, I took over the picking up and dropping off and I've always noticed how ridiculously overpriced they were. But they are close to our house so the Mr said just to leave it alone. In the past year I've noticed that his shirts and his ties sometimes would come back with stains still on them, the worse is when NEW stains would be present with none existed before. Recently (or not so recently- since the summer) I started taking the shirts in on Saturday because at the front of their store they started advertising "Garments 25% off Saturday Special". Awesome! 25% off a $50 bill, I'll take it! So I dropped off some shirts on Saturday, the new woman who was there gave me my receipt and I didn't notice till I got home that she didn't apply the discount. I figured no problem , when I come back to pick up the shirts I'll let them know before I pay. I came back today (Tuesday) to pick up the shirts and there was a different lady there, I told her about the mix up and she said "oh, the discount ONLY applies to dry cleaning shirts not laundered shirts". I was confused, because I've been coming here dropping stuff off every single Saturday since the summer or at least Fall of 2017 and never had an issue. Turns out she's the owner, and I guess she decided that all of her employees misunderstood that the discount should only be applied to some things and not others. She was not happy that the employees have been applying the discount to everything. If you drive by her store, read what the sign says. When I drive by later I will take a photo and you all can judge for yourself if you can decipher what it means. What irritates me is that, everything is done electronically here so she should should have known how much money we have spent in her forsaken store- I don't appreciate the dismissive manner that she had. Just wanted to update my review. I am moving and will miss this cleaners. They are friendly, efficient and honestly just good at what they do. Our washer broke right before our move so I brought in like 10 pounds of clothing, upon pick up they were clean, smelled fresh and were impeccably folded. 1 Star I take it back!!!! dammit, I knew it was too early for a good review of this place! Ok, Sandy is still there and she's still cool, but I just picked up my dry cleaning and headed to a meeting. Changed in the parking structure, and when I put on the dress shirt I just picked up, it smelled nasty! U ever throw your clothes in the washer and forget about them until 3 days later....then throw them in the dryer thinking it's all good? That mildew smell that the clothes get so you have to rewash them......that's what my dress shirts smell like! (I checked and the other two smelled the same)..........this s*** better come off because between the three of them, they're worth $600!!!! After/If they fix this.........I'm done. read more

Just took some of my favorite white tops to Hermosa Beach Cleaners and I was very impressed by the level of customer service!!!!

So disappointing. Thought I had a local dry cleaners I could trust. Took a snow suit in to have the zipper fixed and they quoted me $25 which I thought seemed a bit high but I wanted to just get it done so I agreed. A few days to a week later I get a call that they don't have the right zipper so I will need to go and get one myself?!? She also tells me that they will give me a few bucks off as I am purchasing the $4-5 zipper on my own. (this is where I look back and say to myself there's where you went wrong). I go to joanns fabric store and get a zipper and bring it back to the cleaners. Fast forward a week. I go to pick up the snowsuit and no one has any knowledge of the Zipper ordeal and not only is there no price deduction but now there is a note on the tag that says the price was misquoted and should have been $38!!!! Uh, it's called a quote so I can quote you on it!!! I paid the $25 and left. Not worth worrying over $5 on my part. Too bad they lost a lifetime customer over $5 and a "bad quote" read more

I'm surprised to read the customer service is exceptional from other reviewers. When we dropped off our items using a Groupon, the clerk didn't even know how to apply the Groupon to the total price of the items we wanted dry-cleaned. She informed us that she would notify us when ready, but we never heard from her. When we called to ask if the items were ready she confirmed they were but informed us she closes promptly at 7PM even though the website states they close at 7:30. She also hung up on me! When I asked her why she did that when I picked up my items, she said she was dealing with another customer. Not very professional. read more

Used to live right across the street and appreciated the same day service when life gets to hectic. The quality was okay but the convenience kept me coming back. Then I moved a couple miles away.... 1. The parking situation is terrible. Only two 15 minute spots in front of the place and as everyone in HB knows street parking is awful 2. And most important. I brought in a nice crisp Nordstrom's white men's dress shirt. When I got it back there was grease on the inside near the shoulder. Brought back and showed it to the woman working there. She gladly said they'd clean it again and explained it must have been from the equipment at the plant. Apparently grease got on the hangar and transferred to the shift. Came to pick it up and the grease was still there. They wanted one more shot at cleaning it. 3rd time spot still noticeable. So they tried a 4th time and now the shirt is worn out due to the heavy chemicals and attempts at cleaning it repeatedly. The woman said the owner will call me, he never did. I tried to reach him many times to get my shirt replaced he was never around STAINED SHIRT RUINED SHIRT NO MANAGER/OWNER TAKING RESPONSIBILITY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER I was a faithful customer. I've never been there before so I was nervous about it, but this place is right around the corner from me and I didn't have time to try to research places that would do it. This had been a great cleaners for us for some time now. Always had great service there until recently. We had a 500$ fur blanket ruined. They tried to pass it off as just normal wear and tear over time accept this was a sudden, night and day difference. One day it was fine and then after being dry cleaned it went from a soft fur to a coarse, almost rug like material. You can see the difference in the side by side photo and we have actually had the darker one dry cleaned more times. Initially, when I told the employee about this as I was dropping it off, she said that they would at least give me a free cleaning. Obviously I knew they couldn't fix it but that was the least they could do. When I went back to pick it up a different employee told me that was not possible. I knew there was nothing she could do so I waited till I was home to contact the manager. Instead of being helpful and understanding she treated me as if this were normal and that this was just typical wear and tear, or that I must be confused. I told her that I would be happy to bring both blankets down so she could see the difference. First she says they will give me half off my next cleaning, which I found laughable. After further explanation she finally offers one free cleaning credited to my account. Now if they would have just done this from the beginning that would have been enough to satisfy the issue but after seeing how they have treated us we will never be going back there again. Very disappointing! No way to treat a regular customer, or any customer for that matter. read more

I came in as a new customer with my wedding dress and a 50% off coupon. The owner refused to honor it, saying that the coupon was only for shirts and slacks - "normal" jobs. I could see why they wouldn't want to give 50% off on an expensive job, but then that should be clear on the coupon. That's false advertising. I took the dress somewhere else.
