Bought a glass to sip this perfect cab sav once we got back home!

Kenn is the best! We love his banter and his sense of humor, and he dishes it perfectly (and is a good sport when anyone manages to land a zinger, which isn't often for us!) Don't visit if you take yourself too seriously and/or aren't willing to spend money on good wine. We first visited Spring of 2017 and always make it a point to stop at Hermosa for our annual Paladise trip. Obviously we also come for the excellent wine, but Kenn always shows us a good time. Finally took home a glass to SLC to remember the good times. Perhaps if we are lucky, merlot will come back. Stop in while this great winery exists.

just now I go out of my way to pay Hermosa Vineyards a visit, it's worth it! From the history, to the quality, to the hospitality, this is always worth a stop during your Palisade visit. (Make sure to ask for the dessert wine!)

What a great winery in Palisade! It looks small as you drive up but I promise it's worth a visit. We were the only ones there during our Monday visit which allowed us to have a great chat with the owner/winemaker. His wines are among the more sophisticated among the palisade offerings. My favorite was the chenin blanc! The owner actually told us he was just recognized by travel and leisure as the top winery in the US outside of california and was #11 overall. Pretty awesome when you consider that it's a relatively small operation without any of the snootiness that can come with fancy wineries. If you are lucky, you will get to go out back and take a photo with the vineyard with grand mesa in the background!

100th reviewer, woot! This was the best alcohol related tasting I have had. Kenny was a pleasure to talk to and was willing to spend the time with us to teach us new things about wine and the surrounding areas. He even gave us tips and pointers for the rest of the road trip. More extensive review to follow soon!

Hermosa is off the beaten path in Palisades, and it's the best wine in Colorado! If you're a red wine fan, The Cabernet Franc is fantastic, we always buy a bottle when we visit. But honestly, all the reds are good here. The tasting room is in a barn which has a beautiful backyard, best time to visit is when the sun is setting so you can appreciate one of the best views in Palisade. If you're planning a trip to Palisades, make sure Hermosa Vineyards is on the top of your list!

Love this vineyard, the wines, the tasting room and the staff. All simply excellent. Still remember fondly my visit in 2017.

Pours were so stingy - Ken seemed like it was all he could do to pour and get us out of there.

Restoration Vineyards, Palisades , Colorado - July 13, 2026…read more This is a beautiful winery with a modern indoor tasting room and large beautiful outdoor covered grassy area with lots of tables and chairs that has a nice stage for music events. We tasted indoors. Zander was our server and he was terrific! My wife and I shared a tasting and Zander did a great job describing the wines. The wines I've tried from other wineries in this area typically aren't my favorite. I tend to pick up a flavor that is faintly herbaceous on just about every varietal I've tried. Kind of like a stemy character. Not overpowering, but just not my favorite. Not the case with any of the wines we tried at Restoration. The flavor profiles were spot on. All the wines we had were terrific - Chardonnay, Riesling, Rose, Semillon, Pinotage, Barbera, Cab. Franc, and Red Blend. Winery owner, Gary, happened to hear me mention how much I liked the wines here and how I had been picking up the stemy character from other wines in the area. He explained that Restoration uses a unique processes to help eliminate that character. Realizing how much we liked the wines here, Gary opened a bottle of Semillion that was not part of the tasting flight. It had won a double gold medal at the San Francisco Wine Competition and came in second in Best of class. What a delight! I highly recommend this winery!

Restoration Vineyards was one of our favorite winery stops! The scenery is absolutely beautiful,…read moreand it's the perfect place to relax and take in the views. Even though it was 95°F outside, we stayed comfortable thanks to the plenty of shaded seating and outdoor misters. There are cozy chairs on the lawn where we spent quite a while enjoying our wine and the scenery. The winery is also pet-friendly both inside and outside, which was a huge plus for us. They don't serve food, but they typically have food trucks on-site. We did the tasting, which included all six wines currently available. My favorite was the White Blend, while my husband's favorite was the Red Blend. The staff was incredibly friendly. After we ordered our tasting inside, they even brought the remaining pours out to me while I was relaxing outside, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, Restoration Vineyards offers beautiful views, great wine, excellent service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. We would absolutely visit again.
