A small tasting room but the intimate experience allowed us to ask a lot of question and learn a lot! Even better that the wines were great quality - saw a lot of other customers drop by to pick up case. Definitely will seek out Hermosa Vineyards wines in the future!

Bought a glass to sip this perfect cab sav once we got back home!

Kenn is the best! We love his banter and his sense of humor, and he dishes it perfectly (and is a good sport when anyone manages to land a zinger, which isn't often for us!) Don't visit if you take yourself too seriously and/or aren't willing to spend money on good wine. We first visited Spring of 2017 and always make it a point to stop at Hermosa for our annual Paladise trip. Obviously we also come for the excellent wine, but Kenn always shows us a good time. Finally took home a glass to SLC to remember the good times. Perhaps if we are lucky, merlot will come back. Stop in while this great winery exists.

just now I go out of my way to pay Hermosa Vineyards a visit, it's worth it! From the history, to the quality, to the hospitality, this is always worth a stop during your Palisade visit. (Make sure to ask for the dessert wine!)

What a great winery in Palisade! It looks small as you drive up but I promise it's worth a visit. We were the only ones there during our Monday visit which allowed us to have a great chat with the owner/winemaker. His wines are among the more sophisticated among the palisade offerings. My favorite was the chenin blanc! The owner actually told us he was just recognized by travel and leisure as the top winery in the US outside of california and was #11 overall. Pretty awesome when you consider that it's a relatively small operation without any of the snootiness that can come with fancy wineries. If you are lucky, you will get to go out back and take a photo with the vineyard with grand mesa in the background!

100th reviewer, woot! This was the best alcohol related tasting I have had. Kenny was a pleasure to talk to and was willing to spend the time with us to teach us new things about wine and the surrounding areas. He even gave us tips and pointers for the rest of the road trip. More extensive review to follow soon!

Enjoying our favorite Hermosa wine on a trip to Marble, Co.

Love this vineyard, the wines, the tasting room and the staff. All simply excellent. Still remember fondly my visit in 2017.

Pours were so stingy - Ken seemed like it was all he could do to pour and get us out of there.

Ken is extremely knowledgeable and has some of the best Malbecs, cab sauvs, and a special unique blend for the red winos.

Bookcliff, Vineyards…read more We found that there is a correlation between wine, lovers and dog lovers.. This is another dog friendly winery, although they will be opening up food in the tasting room, and it will cease to be available for dogs. They have a nice big gazebo outside for people to enjoy their wine. Viognier -- beautiful florals, citrus peaches notes on the nose, citrus, grapefruit. green apples, on the pallet, balanced, acidity, rich minerality with fruit. Muscat has the most beautiful nose a that can keep you smelling the aromas of lemons or for minutes before you even want to put any in your mouth. Again, nice acid and fruit balance picking up the beautiful minerality of the sedimentary rock in book cliff region. Beautiful fruit of green, apple, lemon, grapefruit. Only out sourced grape. Viognier died in 1991. So they outsource grapes to fill in the void of the white. Completely lost Cabernet Sauvignon. All the other grapes revived the next year. Albarino -- a lot different than the Albarino in Spain. So there is a little bit of seabreeze on the nose, not like in spain. . Beautiful, citrus lightly on the nose. Crisp fresh fruit , staff by nice asses on the pallet. Chardonnay-- beautiful dark, yellow color. A nice rounded citrus on the palate. Not a particularly big oak. Taste of the typical Oak because Jon put soak into teabags to give those kinds of nuances. The malolactic, fermentation, brings out a bit of butteriness. Again, high acidity balance by fruit Rosé made from cab Frank sits on the skins for an hour or two, providing a very light and orange color. Beautiful, effervescent, peachy aromas. Subtle peachy. beautiful black fruit Malbec Big lush blackberries on the palate do you know when older women have a lot to teach younger men while you're my age probably I was like older women when I was younger. I have a younger wife tell me when you get on the nose I'm gonna try the reserve. Malbec reserve, grapes, grow very close to the river, the aromas are mellow, and beautiful black fridge on the pallet. Velvety at a young age. The assets are pleasantly high because of the area of growth.Grown at hawk ridge a beautiful high minerality 2020 before the great loss of the Cabernet Sauvignon due to a winter freeze. Nice florals of roses and Cassis on the nose. $24 The ensemble This Bordeaux blend used to be a blend of Cabernet, Savignon, Merlot, Cab, Franc, and Malbec. It's beautifully emulated a Bordeaux blend. Since then they have removed the cab, Frank and it has lost that earthiness that made the blend so beautiful. It is still a lovely wine. It displays blackberries on the nose in the palate. Taste it not really I'm not picking that up. Not the chocolate I would have expected from a Merlot. It seems intentionally to be more of a New World wine that appeals to the American palate. 2022 Syrah 22.95 Just won the Governors cup as number one wine Colorado. They weren't supposed to open this, but John, the owner, said that it was good to open it for us. So Chris told me that I had to ask her to open it. Deep rich purple back. Beautiful blackberry and raspberry fruit and acids blended in such a way that they just permeate the palate twisting all around the tongue. Deeply rich. You have to try this wine. You will buy cases. We ended our tasting with a beautiful Muscato. Peaches and candied lemons on their nose. It's beautiful desert wind like the Muscato from Samos island in Greece. When you are done tasting all these wines, and you end with a Moscato, you've had the best experience of your life. Well, at least among the best.

3.5 stars. Great service, decent wine. Rosé was good, as was the sparkling rosé. Reds were ok, a…read morelittle light for the varietals, whites were good.
