I was last here in 2022 just after they opened the tasting room. I met Amy, the tasting room manager. They have 3 whites and 3 reds to taste for $15. You can also get full glasses and bottles. The 2023 Chenin Blanc was springtime in a bottle. The barrel aged Chenin Blanc was aged in older French Oak barrels that provide an interesting accent. The Malbec rose tasted like strawberries. Then I got the 2022 Malbec. A great wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon was also good. My last pour was the 2022 Cabernet Franc. Another great wine. Then I got a bonus pour of a Raspberry dessert wine with locally grown raspberries. Not a true port, with only 17.5 ABV. I will be back Sunday to pickup 2 maybe 3 bottles for return to Denver. Pleasant cool space with a view of Mt Garfield and the bookcliffs. The Mt Garfield trailhead is nearby.

Holy cuteness!!! This winery came recommended to use by a women who owned a shop in downtown Palisade. She mentioned it being newer but has heard great reviews. Well I am here to confirm those reviews were right. This smaller tasting room was booming with people when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. They had a great band made u pod two older gentleman. They were rocking it out though. We ordered two bottles rose and white, chenin Blanc. Both were good but the white was the group favorite. We enjoyed the grass area with chairs (we brought our own) and a bench which was there. Highly recommend checking it out and it is not far from downtown Palisade. Close to the peach stands so kill two birds with one stone.

Amazing atmosphere! Michael was so knowledgeable and helpful when choosing our wine flights. This was our favorite location from our girls trips!

One of the top 3 wineries in Palisade. New to the valley and definitely one that you need to stop at.

Wine storage system built over the original well on the property.

Enjoyed our visit - it was nice first stop in Palisades. Love the wine tasting building - the wine storage area super cool.

We knew there were plenty of wineries, but since my wife like trying new things and I didn't know where she had gone in the past, I had her pick the place to go when we got in and she 'randomly' selected this one. We couldn't have been happier. They have plenty of places to sit outside, but we went to the upstairs patio that overlooks the vineyard. It was a great choice. It's very pleasant, the view is beautiful, it's covered (so you're not baking in the sun), and when the breeze rolls through, it's perfect. We were a little taken aback that we had to go "all the way" downstairs when we wanted more wine, but then realized that it's the 'winery atmosphere' (remember - first day in to Palisade). We absolutely loved sitting on the patio and having a couple glasses of wine. We spent the next day visiting a few other wineries, but after two others, we decided to go back to Carboy. Sat on the upstairs patio again and listened to the live music (with a couple glasses of wine). It was amazing. Carboy has an assorted selection of food that can be ordered. We didn't order any, but it looked amazing and the people around us that did order things seemed happy with it. The only thing that we commented on was that when there's live music, we would have loved to have had the option of a food truck. If that had been the case, we both agreed that we probably would have stayed and had dinner there (as it was, we decided to leave and get dinner from a restaurant). If you're in Palisade (and are visiting wineries), I highly recommend Carboy. Personally, I'd skip the tasting 'flight' and go straight for a glass of wine, but that's mostly because the tasting varies from white to red (and I'm not a big fan of whites).

It was absolutely amazing!! From the service to the very last drink. It was worth the stop.read more

Since our trip was a celebratory one, our anniversary, Gary brought out a bottle of the sparkling rosé. We ordered a tasting from Marissa, who was helpful giving us recommendations. There are shade sails outside and we were sitting under one, enjoying the snack we had brought along. My brother-in-law was asking questions about the restored cars and that was a fascinating conversation. The vineyard was not only restored to its current state but the owner also restores classic Mercedes cars. The views are spectacular and you can see a great distance. A short rain storm swooped in and sent us running for shelter, but it soon passed and the sun reappeared. Overall great visit. I would recommend going to this winery.

Overall this place had the best tasting wine out of all the wineries we went to! It was also dog friendly and had a food truck outside if you are hungry. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a chill outdoor wine day!

We tried a number of different products. My favorite was probably the chocolate/strawberry mead - yum! However, as many know, the alcohol content of mead can get pretty high and I didn't want to be plastered for the entire day. Overall, I think we tried 11 different items (try their tasting flights), but in the end, I settled on a glass of the white merlot, closely beating out the red merlot that my wife ended up selecting. Given the great weather, we ended up sitting in the gazebo outside and had a lovely time. The staff is very personable and knowledgeable. As I said, the problem for me is that they have such a large selection. I would definitely have the chocolate strawberry mead again, but would probably decide to uber there so that I can have an entire bottle. I definitely recommend trying out this place.
