    Literally my dream car

    Herndon service team is a glorified Jiffy ! I would strongly not recommend buying a car from Herndon! I purchased a high country Tahoe still within the factory warranty, I also purchased the extra extended warranty just for extra coverage! After a year still within factory coverage I began to have electrical issues with the truck. Scheduled an appointment dropped it off it took a week and a half to even look at it, just for them to decide it was a bad brand new week old battery.... which it wasn't! I told them at drop off it had just been replaced.... week 3 they come up with it was a problem with back hatch ok great let's get that fixed! Send it home it's still dying.... wait a week for another appointment drop it off for them to call me 2 days later to tell me the battery was bad... okay so they sent it home without checking to make sure the part they replaced was the actual problem and nothing else was draining the truck. So yes ma'am bad battery but we will put a new one in and u can pick up. Absolutely not I told them again I just bought that battery and while draining it over and over might have made it go bad it was still a brand new one with it's own battery warranty I'll handle that once yall find the reason of my truck dying! Well long story short they ended up calling at the end of the week saying they couldn't fix the issue on a truck bought from them still under factory warranty! And still tried to charge me for a battery that didn't need to be replaced from the beginning! There was weird other issues that could have helped them figure out the problem like sometimes my steps wouldn't deploy when the door opened and the back ac would stop working randomly and only blew hot air that was also told to them multiple times and never looked at or fixed. Highly highly unsatisfied! Called GM and was told in situations like this the service team is to request a certified gm mechanic to look at the car which as far as I know was never done! They just didn't want to waste the time or lacked the knowledge. In my opinion they are a glorified jiffy Lube. Really sucks for them because of this whole situation while in Charleston I found another dealership and was so appreciative of their customer service me and my husband bought two 2025 vehicles. I feel completely comfortable knowing the dealership i purchased a brand new high country traverse and 2500 trail boss is completely willing and capable of making sure its customers are looked after even after they make a sale!

    Want to know how Herndon Chevy helped me earn about $310 per minute? Read to the end. I'm sure you've seen it before, but I'm going to say it again... I'd have given a ZERO star review if Yelp would allow it, but they don't. So, Herndon gets one star for wasting my time and bringing a bad taste to using the Kelly Blue Book - Instant Cash Offer to sell a dealership your used vehicle. Long story short, I was looking to sell my vehicle in order to purchase a limited production vehicle I located for sale privately out of state. Rather than deal with individuals and tire kickers, I tried the Kelly Blue Book - Instant Cash Offer feature on KBB.com. The instant cash offer was a fair value that I was not completely turned off by, so I was hopeful this was a good tool. Shortly after getting my instant cash offer value online, I was contacted by three local dealerships who received my info from KBB. Herndon was the closest to where we lived, so it was the first dealership we went into with the vehicle. Upon pulling into the lot, a lady sales representative came out to greet us, before we even got out of our vehicle. I'm sorry I can't remember her name at this time. That's how not memorable this experience was. We told her that we were contacted by the dealership about our KBB.com instant cash offer submission and we were there to follow up. The sales rep brought us inside and to her desk. She was very polite and professional initially, but when we explained that we were just there to sell them our vehicle pursuant to the KBB instant cash offer and we were looking to replace that vehicle with a limited production vehicle we located out of state, we felt the atmosphere change. It seemed the sales rep became less interested in helping us, knowing we weren't going to be buying from her. She asked how much we were looking to get for our car. I explained that we had the KBB number and then received contact from several dealerships stating it is likely that they could pay more than the KBB number for our vehicle. So I said we were looking for KBB constant cash offer + for our vehicle. As a side note, our vehicle was in great shape, no cosmetic issues and no mechanical issues. Minimal if any reconditioning was needed. The sales rep took our info and our key and gave it to someone. I couldn't tell you who, because that person never came over to introduce themselves and the sales rep never mentioned who it was. We'll presume it was a person to appraise our vehicle. Our car was pulled out of the spot we parked in, taken for a brief drive and shortly thereafter, the sales rep reappeared and presented us with a piece of paper with a number written on it. My first reaction when she told us and showed us the number was, wow, that's a great down payment, how will you be paying the balance? That was my gut reaction, along with being insulted. I asked if there was a reason for the low value placed on our vehicle. The sales rep said something to the effect of, he didn't say! Sadly, knowing how much we were looking for and being given a much lower number, I think the next logical question for the sales rep to ask the appraiser would be why? Sadly, the sales rep didn't, and she didn't seem interested in helping us. While she went through the motions so to speak, it came across as very disingenuous. I'm not sure if the people at Herndon realize they are not the only Chevy dealership in the area, nor are they the only KBB instant cash offer dealer in the area. While going to Herndon Chevy was a waste of our time it was a blessing in disguise. Because there was no real effort made to earn our business or seriously consider the KBB instant cash offer that brought us in the door at Herndon, it drove us to go to the next dealership. Thank you Herndon, because of you, I earned about $310 per minute for driving 20 minutes to a competitor. I even received an email asking for feedback on my experience at Herndon. I shared with them the same details I shared here. Hopefully they read their replies. I've received no feedback from them so far regarding my email. :( Would I recommend this dealership? No on your life! Buyer or seller, do your diligence and shop around, while it might seem inconvenient, it's worth your time.

    Went in to begin the search for a second vehicle! As most I am very cautious with dealership and I wasn't sure initially here! Jeff Filer met me in the parking lot. Explained what I was looking for. We looked at a couple vehicles, and test drove one. Overall a good experience and I drove out with what I consider a good deal.

    Well after the visit that ended in damaged rims from work the service tech did Herndon Chevrolet had alloy wheel repair come out and repair the damaged rims. Picked up the vehicle today and rims look good. I hope the clear coat doesn't start pealing down the road. I have dealt with Marcus and will only deal with him from now on. I know it's not the service writer causing the damage but Marcus has always done a great job and have never had an issue. I'm giving them 5 stars right now because they repaired the rims and gave me a vehicle to drive while it was being repaired.

    Warning to others: Ask upfront how their appointment process actually works "Does this guarantee a…read moretime, or is it first-come-first-served?" I talked with two other customers in the waiting area and they both had been waiting for over two hours for oil changes; and both, like me, had scheduled an appointment. Even with an appointment my total wait time was 2.5 hours. I'd say that Jim Hudson needs to reexamine their appointment process.....or better yet, just be upfront with the customers and tell them that an appointment is meaningless. Honesty is a win/win for both sides.

Carri was amazing to deal with and kept up communication. I dropped my truck off on a Monday, main reason for drop off was service, recall on trailer module and fix the digi-shield on the door. Truck was at dealership 8 days. The person that installs digi shield comes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, both days my truck was there. It did not get replaced then. Only thing was service was completed and trailer module could not program. Bob was off this week and my case was passed off to Carri. She was very communicative, got my issues resolved and did what she could to help get my digi shield fixed. I got my truck back today after being vehicle less. They did help me get a loaner for the weekend, after being without a vehicle for the entire week.
