Ghost the Repo man aka Tirrell Anderson aka Tee was paid almost $4,600 from my insurance company never fixed my car and after refused to tell me where my car was located for almost 2 months. Once I couldn't get ahold of him via phone, I went to the Euro Works Body shop location to visually see my car which to my surprise wasn't there. Then his receptionist proceeded to call the Columbia police department on me, who in return backed me up and made him tell me the address of where my car was actually located. It was on the other side of West Columbia at another shop owned by a man name Scott who also stated he had not been compensated and that my car had just gotten to his shop 2 days prior and the work had not been completed. Please do not allow this man to take your car because he will take your money and not complete the work. I can post screenshots of messages and pictures of my car as proof with dates and times! This man is janky and runs a janky business and gives out free gas to people to pretend like he is a good person when he in fact is unprofessional and doesn't run an efficient business!!!

They never called me back after I spoke with them twice, I am going to move on to a more reliable source.

Overpriced, inaccurate diagnosis, lied about parts that were installed. Just plain conman. Won't be recommending them to anyone.

After testing and finding the parts the estimate became much larger, but it had to be fixed. After getting the vehicle back we had issues again and took it back because it was under warranty. They initially replaced a cooling system hose, but we later found out that the brand new hose they installed had a pinhole leak. That alone raises concerns about the quality of parts they're using and their inspection process before returning a vehicle. Well, this of course was not covered. When we picked the car up...the 2nd time, the check engine light was on -- which it absolutely was NOT when we dropped it off. They told us the issue was an intermittent misfire and suggested additional diagnostic testing for over $400, followed by more charges for fuel injection cleaning and possibly even deeper engine work. It felt like they were stacking on expensive "next steps" without a clear diagnosis. Something didn't sit right, so we brought the car to our regular shop since this was no longer a "hybrid" issue. Within a short time, they found the real issue: a smashed spark plug -- and not even the same brand as the others that had all been replaced by me personally just six months ago. That's extremely concerning and points to careless or sloppy workmanship or sadly sabotage. Between installing a faulty hose, returning my car with a new warning light, and missing (or possibly causing) a very obvious issue, I've completely lost confidence in this shop. Familiarize yourself with your vehicle and exercise caution. Sadly, many are out to profit, even at your expense.

I've gotten a lot of maintenance work done here. Throttle body cleaning, tires (alignment + balance…read more+ rotation), a serpentine belt and tensioner pulley. But after my check engine light came on for EVAP codes. I started to notice their lack of communication. The EVAP codes could be multiple things like a purge valve, vacuum switching valve, charcoal canister, hoses etc. I ordered a vacuum switching valve after some research and they said it was the wrong part. It wasn't the wrong part, because I just had it installed somewhere else, and the VSV already on there wouldn't click at all. So the part I previously ordered was the right buy. But old school wanted to put a new part in that they ordered. A vent valve. I had no issue. They're professionals they know what they're doing maybe my vent valve was faulty. But when I asked how they diagnosed that it was indeed a faulty vent valve. They wouldn't tell me. Keith said "you can't really tell if it's bad". So you're replacing a part that you're not sure I need? Sheesh could at least run the smoke test. Then trying to ask for more info about the part they're ordering and putting in my car, was a hassle. I felt like a nuisance. As a customer I shouldn't feel nervous asking about my car but they sound extremely annoyed talking to me. I'm at performance express and was just told I had a massive head gasket oil leak. Old school didn't catch that. Thank god I was able to catch it. But old school is good overall. Parts come in quick. Labor prices are pretty good. Just communication is meh. Chris is awesome tho.

Keith and his team are the best in the Columbia, SC area! I had a massive project on my 4Runner…read morethat I almost gave up on. It required a huge tear down to take out the left engine head and send it to a machine shop to extract two cross threaded bolts. I hired a local mechanic before to do the project, but he stopped working on it after tearing apart about 80% of the parts under the hood. I collected all of the parts and hundreds of screws/bolts in bags and towed the car to Old School Automotive. I thought it would be impossible to figure out where every screw and bolt goes when putting it back together. Somehow, Keith and his team of expert mechanics were able to solve the puzzle after pouring hours and hours into organizing all the parts to put back together. It's up and running like new again, and I couldn't be more blown away. There's nothing this team can't do. They were very detailed oriented and fixed what needed to be fixed, and left alone what didn't. It's not easy to pick up a project that you didn't start yourself. They were extremely fair and transparent with their service and pricing too. Whether you have a small job, or a massive project that requires reassembling the engine, Old School Automotive can do it. A good mechanic is like a good surgeon. I won't take my cars anywhere else (and I live 100+ miles away in Greenville, SC now).
