Took it to Minnie's bc I was so impressed w the first visit which was just a basic oil change. This was on a Monday and they were booked til Friday so I set the appointment and came back later. They did a full inspection and determined the issue was a failing coolant pump on the electric side. They said they found no leaks etc.They detailed what the issue was and what the fix was. I'm definitely impressed w how they break down what they do into digestible bite sized bits for non-car folks. They offered I could pick up the car and pay the diagnostic/inspection fee of $50. Said they didn't have the high voltage equipment to work on the car and advised go to a specialist. Lucky for me I do have one ( Woodards in Florence, I just moved here from there. ). They work on hybrids and electric so I took it there. The only grip I'd have is that I did ask if Minnie's handles hybrids. I believe I was told yes and the person ( the owner ) stated they drive a hybrid Camery. Maybe I should have said "work on the electric side of hybrids bc I could have dropped it at Woodards 60 miles away but I'd rather pump money into a reliable, friendly place. Not sure I'll be back. I'd still highly recommend if you drive an ice car tho. The staff and ambiance of the place cannot be beat.

The inspection reports they send to my phone are always clear and have photos to show me what they're talking about. I have taken my car here for oil changes, tire rotations, flat tires, problems with the fuel tank vapor line (mice chewed a hole in it), new tire pressure sensors (my car has over 240K miles on it), cooling system service, new brakes, and gotten the A/C fixed. The mechanic said no problem he would take care of me. They called to say I was good to go-they had to replace 2 leaky radiator hoses & charged me almost $400. The following day my car overheated and blew fluid all over in the post office parking lot. I called to tell them the situation. The problem wasn't fixed & unfortunately I needed to tow it back to them, because I don't dare drive it even tho I was right across the street. The receptionist said "don't bother because the mechanic said he doesn't want to take in any old cars anymore". Really?! they never told me that before, they said they fixed it, and they really hung me out to dry! The very least they could have done is give me my money back for the work that wasn't done, if they didn't want to fix my car! Color me disappointed. Started noticing that every time we had something done (even an oil change) there ended up being something else (usually expensive) needed shortly there after. Ask for an evaluation for an issue, charged for evaluation and issue worsens? Final straw, after an oil change, oil leaking and causing major repairs ($1000+) needed to be done. And then issue not even resolved? Bad gasket? I think not. Bad practices? I think so. Don't be tempted by the coupons. Not to be trusted. We have learned our lesson. It was expensive. And hassle-filled.

They told me it was a speed sensor the price out the door was $144. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Now the other day the check engine light came on again. Never had problems with my vehicle before. I take very good care of my vehicle yes things break and need to be fixed that's everyday maintenance of course. But this was a little odd now since the check engine light is on again in such short period of time so I brought it back. They told me it was a different problem they think it could be the coil pack or it could need new spark plugs which I just put in 20,000 miles ago and they are platinum spark plugs that are supposed to last 100,000 miles they also told me I needed a transmission flush that I did only about 10,000 Mi ago and I needed stutter guard for my vehicle out the door it would have been over $550. I basically told them to take a walk. I used to go to this place all the time but it has changed names from Kestner Auto to now Rev Auto. They seem to hire all new people and very young kids not there's anything wrong with hiring young kids but they seem to be guessing on what may be wrong with the vehicle as people pay good money to fix it and the problem are not always what they are claiming. If you bring your car in there to get service don't expect to get it serviced the same day it usually takes a good 24 hours for them to even look at it if you're lucky. Oh yes I decided to change the spark plugs myself for $20 and that fixed my problem they wanted to do it for $550 and it wasn't even all the problems they all claimed it was. I would not recommend this mechanic shop.
