I was very pleased with their work and professionalism. I had a water pipe leak inside my house. It had been detected as a hole in my pipe. The company which located it told me they could not fix it for nearly two more weeks but if I wanted them to come in 2-3 days on a Saturday to repair the leak I would have to pay their increased weekend rate. I contacted my insurance company and they told me to call Herndon McFarland Plumbing. Before I could call them Lee McFarland was calling me since he had talked a short time earlier to my insurance company. One of their employees came to my house that afternoon, assessed the situation, and scheduled the repair for two days later, on a Saturday. I was told that since I was scheduling the repair during the week I would not be charged a higher weekend rate. The same employee came with two other men at the scheduled time on Saturday morning, completed the job within the time frame I was given for the repair, and did excellent work. They even checked for other possible leaks in my house before they left. Their service was excellent and at a cost that was below the other company who could not repair my leak for two more weeks. Herndon-McFarland saved us thousands of dollars. We had a Fort Worth house slab jacked up by a certain company. AFTERWARDS, they said the drain pipes had become disconnected, but not to worry since they JUST happened to have a plumbing compnay as well. So we paid another company ( sounds like relatives) to run a series of tests. They claimed they did while our daughter was home and they said we needed nearly $40,000 in repairs and replacements. Our insurance guy recommended that I call HERNDON-McFARLAND. They showed up and did actual testing. It was obvious that the former company had not, since certain pipes & drains were still sealed up with old grouting. The Herndon McGFarland guys et me look over their shoulders and show me how they did their testing, It took half a day. It turned out our old cast iron pipes were totally shot. So I hired them to dig tunnels under the house and replace all of the drain pipes. After it was all done, it costs us about $17,000 LESS than the other companies had quoted. McFarland Plumbing are on the preferred list with my insurance company, however I would definitely use them again for services non insurance related. When I called to schedule the initial appointment, the office staff was inviting and courteous. I was directed to the individual who scheduled appointments. He returned my call a few hours later, he had a cancellation and had a crew who could start my project the next day!!! I actually had two projects that needed addressing. The technicians arrived on time and there were 4 in the crew. They split up and got to work!!! They brought drop cloths and covered all the walking surfaces in my home. They would have covered my furniture too but I had already taken care of that. They jackhammered both areas, dug enormous holes in clay soil, corrected the problems, returned the soil, and re cemented the foundation, and left the site almost as clean as they found it!! Herndon McFarland Plumbing performed two under slab pipe breaks/fixes. The insurance company originally directed them to access the areas from inside the house, and then tunneling to them. This was the cheaper way for the insurance company, and would have been extremely intrusive, messy, and smelly for the interior of the house. After speaking with HMP, they helped me explain to the insurance company of the need to access from the exterior. HMP shows up when they say they will, performs the work in the time frame they say they will, does a fantastic job, and is more than reasonable on their pricing. I had two other companies quote me for the same job (one big company and one smaller local company), and they both were much higher, even when you looked at the line item charges. Our sewer line backed up on Sunday morning. I requested quotes on Homeadviser.com. The owner called me back within 2 minutes and gave me a quote that was 30% less than another plumbing company that cleared the line four months ago. He scheduled the repair for 9AM Monday morning. The plumbers, Tim and Thomas, showed up at 9AM sharp and immediately cleared the sewer line. They determined where the break in the line was and quoted me the same price as the owner. The plumbers dug a 3 foot hole over the broken PVC pipe and repaired the sewer line. They also repaired a broken sprinkler line that they found as a courtesy. A couple of years ago we had a sewer leak under the foundation Two plumbing companies insisted that all pipes had to be replaced with one bid exceeding $50,000!! Lee McFarland encouraged me to have the one leaking pipe re-routed at a fraction of the cost. They did the job when they said they would do it, how they said they would do it, and left my place like they had never been here. Recently we suspected another leaking pipe so I hired them to do a leak check. As it turns out, no leaks this time!!!!! Once again they arrived within 5 minutes of when they promised, got the job done, and were careful to not track dirt into the house. We had several Sewer leaks under our home and our insurance company recommended Herndon McFarland! I am so glad they did! This situation was nothing short of a nightmare having 2 babies and needing a tunnel dug under our home to fix all of these leaks! Herndon's staff (every last one of them) was so great to work with! I had a slab leak that was quoted at $7000 by another company. After they had dug the tunnel, I found that insureance would not cover the cost. Herndon McFarland quoted around $1800 to finish the job, less than what the other company wanted to just dig the tunnel. They completed the job in a very professional and skilled manner. This is the most efficient and on time contractor I've had at my home. We had a slab leak and Trent was sent out to identify where the leak was coming from, and gave us an estimate.
