So I'm visiting for the month and I saw so many reviews about this place so I was like let me try it out. It is literally in the same plaza of the American Airlines center so it's def a great place to watch the game. I will say that the owner is def on Yelp watching the reviews of this place and I appreciate that just because it shows they actually are trying to provide the best service. I was skeptical of getting the mozzarella sticks just because they were 14$ and they were average I was gonna be sooo mad! So I went on and got them but I was mad because they were burnt and tasted burnt but i didn't complain or send them back. I just make reviews. Luckily the owner (who wasn't ever there) saw my review lol and called the manager on duty to tell him to come to me and ask me how everything was. THATS WHAT I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I showed him my burnt cheese sticks and he said he would talk to the chef and come back. My boy came back with a fresh non burnt pair of cheese sticks and gave me a free shot! Yeah they had me sold. I asked the bartender what was good there and she said the chicken salad and that what I ate. The atmosphere of this place is great and the people are even better. Having attended a couple Basketball Games during the Pandemic period this was our first Professional Hockey game in Dallas. Nothing was open during the Pandemic so we didn't even know there were restaurants around the American Airlines Center. We found this place and loved the Energy. Yes it was loud but March Madness was on and everyone was psyched. It was very busy but Lucked out with a seat for two along the wall. Our Server was on point, always checking on us, and our Drinks were cold. We didn't order any food but what I could see looked tasty. Will definitely return prior to games! read more

My nephew and I were searching for a spot so go watch the Chicago Bears game and since he lives in downtown Dallas we chose this spot to watch this horrible game for the Bears. The upside was the service and the food. They had 5 games going so we had the opportunity to see this debacle from all angles. Sorry I'm off topic. I ordered the Farmhouse Chicken sandwich which was delicious. The mix of roasted chicken, avocado sauce, pickled cabbage and arugula was perfect. It also came with a small side salad with vinaigrette dressing which was fantastic. Now if I could order an offensive line for the Bears i would leave a six star review. read more

We stopped at Hero's before our Mavs game to have a couple shareable appetizers. The atmosphere was nice but that was it. The food came out not even five minutes after we ordered. Which meant the Food was not fresh at all. The fries came out cold and stale. The nachos had no flavor to them. The drinks weren't anything special. We didn't finish them which is a first. Ahi tuna tostadas were pretty good, but I felt for $17 there should've been more than five as they were small. With our group of 10, there was an automatic 20% tip to the bill. But I didn't appreciate when we were paying our separate checks the waitress skipped to the screen to add an additional tip so we assumed the tip wasn't included. Not a bad spot to grab a bite! Right in the heart of the pregame festivities for the stars game we were about to attend. Service- Service was average, nothing stellar, nothing beyond the minimum. Ambiance- Tons of TV's to catch the many events happening. Unfortunately lots of seats on the patio but after requesting, we were denied. Not sure why, there was atleast 5 open. Food- ended up going with the chicken bowl option. Surprised that it came on a plate but the broccoli and chicken was cooked wonderfully and we enjoyed a nice, not greasy dinner! read more

I came here for brunch two weeks ago with 6 people and the food and service was great. We were going to get the mimosa tower before brunch was over, but the kind waitress saved our pockets and suggested that the $5 glasses were more bang for our buck. I highly recommend getting a strawberry mimosa. That was everybody's favorite. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and enjoyed every bit of it. The chicken was nice and crispy and the chorizo gravy had such a delectable flavor. I also loved that it came with a green salad for "balance" with all the heavy food. After learning it was our friend's birthday, Mike (or Money Mike as he preferred haha) treated us all to a really yummy expensive drink. That was a very pleasant surprise. Overall I would go back. I've been on here on 2 separate occasions and the food is okay, but the service and atmosphere are great. The first time a came here was on Sunday in May for brunch to celebrate a friends birthday. To drink we ordered a mimosa tower to split between 6 people and there was enough for all of us to have 2-3 mimosas. The second time we planned on coming here also brunch to watch the chiefs vs. bangles football game. We made the mistake of not making reservations and we had to wait over an hour to be seated so unfortunately we did not get seated in time for the brunch menu. Both times our sever was Felix, and he was great. He's very friendly and he constantly went to our table to checkup us and and make sure we were doing okay. Overall I do recommend this place especially if your looking for a spot to go watch a game since there are TVs everywhere, just make sure to make reservations ahead of time. Like I said the food is just okay. It's good, but it not good enough to be reason to recommend this place. read more

Hero is the perfect place to stop in if you are doing anything at the American Airlines center. The place is massive. I didn't realize it was so big. Service was a little slower at the bar but it was super busy. TVs were everything and lots atmosphere just felt happening! We had the massive tower of Mules. It was so fun and felt never ending! My honey and I are going to the Mavs game at the AA center and this is the perfect spot to come to for pre-game lunch/dinner! We had the cheese fries as an appetizer. I had the protein bowl with shrimp, red potato skins, and grilled avocado! My sweetie had the deluxe burger with a side salad! All BOMB! We wanted to celebrate my nephew's 17th birthday as well as look at the NO Saints and Cowboy game. We needed a place that would be great for family. This place was recommended by other Yelpers and the Hero Family did not disappoint. Upon arrival the hostess ask for our reservation name and we was seated right away. Our waitress greeted us as we sat. She noticed that some of our group were fans of NO Saint. She informed us that we would be able to see and hear the game at game time. We ordered the super loaded nachos. We had a party of 8 and it was large enough to feed everyone. We all ordered their chicken tenders with fries. You had the options to have them tossed in the flavor of your choice. While we waited on our meal the GM Joey , stop by to check on us and to offer to pay for the birthday boy's meal. He told him he could order whatever he liked. This as truly amazing. It made my nephew feel special to be recognized by GM on his special day. What a joke of a sports bar. Can't even handle the biggest sports day of the year. Super Bowl Sunday Instead of open seating they went to reservations. So you can reserve a table for 12 at say 2pm, only 2 people show up and the table is yours all night. They had at least 50 open seats at kickoff and were turning people away because they claim there were reservations. Way to run a business. All the people they turned away they supposedly validated their tickets but guess what, everyone still had to pay $5.00 because apparently they just lie or don't know how to validate. I would stay far away from this place during any major event. Next year I'm going to reserve all the tables because apparently they think that is the best way to handle it. This place is one of the biggest sports bar I've been to and it's looks amazing inside. I can see this place fill up on a good day. It was on a football Sunday night when we were here and it's pretty quiet with a few tables occupied given the space provided . They have separate area of the bar with a ginormous TV for the prime time game and other main area for other sports showing. Waitress stated that food menus limited and change every sports season so that was the down side of this place . There was basically nothing we can order on menu . I should have given this place a 3 stars or worse but the waitress kind of made it up a 4 stars for me . She gave us the heads up about the limited menu. I like Hero. Located on the same premises as the AAC , it's a dope spot for a pre game or after game vibe for sports events or just to come and enjoy the atmosphere. The food is a step above the normal bar food and the drinks here are really good. Very spacious and the servers here have good customer service. The servers were very attentive and courteous on our few times here. The ambiance is definitely a 5 out of 5 and another plus is that they validate parking for the garage across the street . The service is incredibly fast and they usually have some good quality music playing in the background . Highly recommended . read more

My friend had a bday brunch here and I didn't eat but definitely wanted to come back and try. SO glad I did! This bacon cheese burger was everything and more! So juicy and the sauce yum! I can't wait to go back! The manager comped our meal as a good deed which made my friend love the place. I love the ambiance and the food is definitely delicious. New place, new tastes. We got here just as brunch was ending on a Sunday. We got to eat brunch or little eats that start at 3p. I got a wedge salad and the berries and cream waffles. My hubby got the buffalo chik sandwich and it was spicy. His beer calmed that down I think a half hour eating. Lol! My youngest got a burger which ya know an 8yr old gets it as plain as they can. Great taste still. Love the grill fresh taste. My oldest got the breakfast tacos. He ate them so they had to be good cuz he is almost a teen. Ya know teens and their finicky attitude.
