Came here during a 2nd quarter of the mavs game, so it was very very quiet, but it makes sense-they will be busy before and after the mavs game. We were instantly served-the bartender made me a strawberry cosmo. Amazing! We sat for a few minutes and then had to run to the game before half time. This place is spacious and the bartender was so nice! The price of the drinks are high, but not as high as in the venue for the game, which is why we stopped before going to the game. This place is luxurious and sporty at the same time, it's a great place to grab drinks pre game!

Perfect spot to pregame before a game. Even right before game time it's never overly crowded. Typical bar food and the service is a bit slow but given the crowds that's kinda expected. Always good vibes here!

We went for a concert (Twice) and got there early, we got hungry and decided to see what they offered and it didn't disappoint!! We got the tender 1lb basket came with fries for both of us for $20 dollars. The food came out fast and wasn't as packed for a concert. The waitress was nice too. There's games and bowling and more. Overall had a good meal

I really like this bar! The ambiance is super cool for drinks and a good time for after Mavericks game hang out. The food could improve but what do you expect from bar food? The ahi tuna tostadas are pricey for only 5 pieces. The tostadas have a good crunch to it but the tuna doesn't taste super fresh. If they actually gave us like a whole plate of tostadas with said toppings it might help. The tuna needs to be swapped out for some fresh ones. We got a pound of tenders and it was good but I really like their tater tots! Was Surprise at how good the tots were! I saw someone else got the fries but they didn't look too appealing

I must admit, being this close to the American Airlines center I was not expecting much. But let me say that this place is great at what they do! They are the perfect place to go catch a game or pre-game before a game. The food is fantastic which really surprised me. The build your own bowl is a great deal with so many combinations. The service was great and very attentive and I felt everything was reasonably priced. I will absolutely go back!

Came for pre-game dinner prior to Stars. I was really surprised at how well organized they were and how quickly we were seated. Order taken quickly. Ice cold beer on tap and a really great burger and large portion of fries. Wait staff was friendly and helpful.

Hero by HG is a sports bar that benefits from nailing the first rule of real estate: location, location, location. Located right outside the American Airlines Center at PNC Plaza across from the statue of Dirk, Hero is a great place to go before and during a Dallas Mavericks or Stars Game. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - On game day (only time I've been), the atmosphere is electric. Fans are outside the plaza, inside the restaurant, and the doors are open to welcome you in. Inside is a sports fan's paradise. There are a plethora of flat screen TVs everywhere, tons of seating (booth/table/bar), and a cool bar with a video board that wraps around it 360 degrees. 1 Star. Service - I arrived early 5:30 (game at 7:30), and while they weren't busy, they were slow. As gametime grew closer, Hero filled up and service was even slower. The staff was super nice, just slow. 1/2 Star. Food - It's a sports bar with sports bar food. We started with the Super Bowl Nachos with ground beef. The huge portion was easily sharable within my party of three. There were generous portions of everything. But in the end, it was still just nachos. I went with the chicken strips, which were very good. The strips were a big size, were hot and juicy, and came with tasty tater tots. The tots were excellent. Not greasy, crisp on the outside and piping hot on the inside. The tots were the hit of my meal. The only negative was the pricing. There's a cost to the location (and inflation). Our meal was $90 for nachos, two sandwiches, and my chicken strips. Still - I was very satisfied with my meal. 1 1/2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I wouldn't return for the food, but I would return for the atmosphere and location. Hero is right next to Dirk, the AAC, and is a great place to go if you want to soak in a full game day. 1 Star.

This is a sports bar but as you can see they play whatever is popular lol I went to a love island watch party and it was amazing. Themed cocktails, plenty space for large groups. I will be back. AND the food was above average yet didn't cost you an arm and a leg. It's a great spot! Service was great, professional and fast.

Location Just outside American Airlines Center, Dallas Parking Take the DART and walk Service Outstanding Menu Note-happy hour menus-off season We had the tuna tostadas-loaded. The salad kept on going-we shared and had to get a to go container. Summary New fav sports bar Dallas downtown. See you there!

Great for pre concert drinks and food at AAC. Very spacious and lots of different rooms, some with games. Food tastes good and the service is fast and efficient.

Hero by HG is a massive indoor outdoor restaurant bar venue focusing on farm fresh food and drinks. They are located off the main entrance in by the American Airlines Center. This is a perfect place to attend a d pregame before catching a Maverick game, a Stars game, or even a concert. The bar sits right in the AAC area, and you can't miss it with the big lighted signs in front of the bar. We came here before a Stars game to get some quick drinks and were serviced at the outside bar. The place was packed with Stars fans wearing their Victory Green jerseys coming in and out of the bar enjoying themselves. The service was quick and efficient, and drinks were served with a smile by the lovely bartenders. They have indoor seating inside the restaurant and bar seating as well and have a patio bar adjacent to the arena, which is great for people watching and enjoying the outdoors. The prices were decent for drinks and probably cheaper than what you would pay inside AAC. The bartenders were friendly and eager to serve you and kept the drinks coming. Im looking to come back here again and maybe try out some food off the menu and enjoy my time here before I watch another Dallas Stars game.

    Damage...one drink!!! R&B Forever tour
    Ronnie B.

Popped in for a cocktail prior to attending the R&B Forever concert at the American Airlines Center. My choice was random as I really don't care for margaritas on the rocks. But I must say this cocktail was a treat indeed. My damage was seventeen & some change with tip my total was twenty dollars. Sports bar atmosphere, nice staff, decent looking menu with a more mature clientele.

    Brandon S.

I'll start with the good. Right next to American Airlines Arena & nearby hotels. Tons of tvs everywhere. Clean and nice design layout. The meh. The food was okay. The cheese fries had a queso on them that were really good so I would recommend those. The Dirty South chicken sandwich was just two chicken tenders with some honey butter and pickles on a bun. The chicken was fried OK and the honey butter was decent but not what I would consider a chicken sandwich since it was just tenders and not an actual chicken breast. The burger was OK nothing fancy just pretty much an all American burger although both tater tots for both sandwiches were fried a little bit hard. Now the bad. The service was weird. Our waitress started by demanding a card to start a tab. When I said no tab & paying, she seem to get an attitude. We had to pay for our food when we ordered it, just felt weird. We felt rushed as we were trying to watch the game as she kept trying to clear our table of food we were still eating, but never brought drink refills ‍. Other options in the area, so will not be back.

Whatever food made it out to our table was good and it came out in a timely fashion. Ambiance seemed to have more of a "clubish" feel with a DJ set up in a corner and the scene becoming more lively as the night went on. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.
