This place is nicely decorated for world cup, the patio has a nice big secreen, and the food is good. But Service is awful! We came here as a group to watch a world cup game, and our waitress was so rude, smacked the bucket of beers on the table after we requested politely to make it right because of miscommunication!!! Never seen this before!! There is also playing sound of one game in the patio, and other games will have small Tvs and will be muted. So make sure what they play on screens, what not.

A few of my friends and I went to Happiest Hour as a part of the World Cup Bar Crawl and we had a great time. I had the Red, White, and Blue specialty cocktail which was offered for the event and it was great! My only complaint is that it was very crowded due to the popularity of the event.

Came here to catch the Texans game with some friends. It's located in the downtown area of Dallas. I knew there was valet beforehand but for whatever reason I parked at the Tom Thumb nearby which offered complimentary parking (for two hours I believe?) if you buy something. That was certainly not enough time. In retrospect, I should have used the valet - after reading the reviews here, apparently they have great service and are very reliable. Since it was a gameday, it was definitely packed inside. We were quickly seated though. Quickly, in terms of service, our waiter was great. It was clear he was putting in effort and being nice to all of his tables. The issue, however, was that he was severely stretched thin. I remember looking around for him and I swear I saw him taking care of customers on the other side of the restaurant. For food, I got a house salad to start. I decided to be healthy today. Unfortunately, a salad at a sports-focused establishment may not have been the best idea. The majority of the lettuce was wilted and not fresh. The dressing provided some nice tang but couldn't offset the texture of the veggies. The chilaquiles on the brunch menu, on the other hand, were good. The chips were still a bit crunchy and was the perfect bed for all of the toppings. I definitely recommend it. Overall, I probably won't come back on my own volition - only if for a group event - due to the lack of staff that caused service and some of the food quality.

Location Harwood district by American Airlines Center Parking LOVE the valet!!! Atmosphere Premiere spirts bar in downtown Dallas. Giant screen, multiple screens all over-even in the yard Seating Outside, inside-bar, upstairs, barrel booths-private area behind a chain screen-hi snd low tops. Service Outstanding/immediate with water, friendly, attentive Menu Full bar, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, mains, sides. We had the cheese steak-loaded with cheese, grilled onions/ peppers on a toasted bun. The side salad was fresh greens, shredded carrots, cucumbers. Lightly dressed but with a side of dressing! Total YUM!! Summary Our go to spot for sports. Total package-great atmosphere, terrific menu, outstanding service-shout out to the valet!! See you there!!

My youngest son and I were going to a Dallas Mavericks game at American Airlines Center and wanted something to eat prior to the game. We arrived around 540 on a Saturday night and were able to get a seat immediately. I was happy to get a table (since my son is a minor) and there were some groups dressed very well and us in NBA gear for the game. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I had a Shiner Draft and the Blackened Chicken Pasta. My youngest son had a cheesesteak. Both of our meals came out very quickly and were very tasty. Yes, the environment is very loud but between being a great place to watch a sporting event, close to the American Airlines Center, the rooftop has to be epic. I'd definitely return!

Skip this bar--especially if you're planning to watch a World Cup game. The food is very mid, and the staff is unorganized with little to no communication between the hostess and servers. I was seated in the outdoor area, and just to get back inside to use the restroom, I had to wait 30 minutes. (ended up staying inside to avoid the line to re enter) Also, the games are on Fox. Overall, the atmosphere is okay, but keep in mind there are certain ways you're not allowed to celebrate.

Outdoor TVs - almost all had bad glares

I was honestly not impressed. I went during a Wild Cup game so I expected it to be crowded. But the staffing didn't seem like they expected the same. There were only 2 people behind the bar. They don't have a system to notify when your food is ready so you just have to stand by the bar and wait, which it took 25 minutes for a salad wrap. The drinks were good though. There's also little shaded areas outside which can make it hard to watch games due to glares on all the outdoor TVs. Id honestly rather go somewhere else to watch a game.

Wow! I haven't been here since thanksgiving 2021 and didn't have a good experience. The "big game" on Saturday was the complete opposite. Five stars from the servers to the bartenders, from the set up with dozens of TVs to watch the game to the food/beverages. Next time we are trying the super nachos...$60, but could feed 6 peeps! And, they layer the ingredients so it isn't just a giant mound of chips with toppings plopped on top. Check it out!

Came for happy hour. It's a cool bar and want to come back for happy hour again when it's fall so can enjoy the large outside area. The drink specials were good for the beers so got a few of those. Got the dumpwings as a little bite and they were just ok. Was expecting them to be crunchier and have more sauce.

I've been here a few times and it is a large restaurant with an upstairs as well as a patio and outdoor area. They have a large bar with plenty of seating and offer a happy hour, who would have thought, daily. I Sat at the bar and the service was great for my drinks quick with no delay.

Trying to reserve a large group event here was incredibly frustrating. I contacted their management over 1 month out to reserve the space and food. Received an email that they would reach out in 1 business days. After radio silence 9 days later I tried calling their business numbers during business hours. No one answered after calling on 3 different days and leaving voicemails. I then called their main restaurant line where their hostess answered. I explained the situation and they offered to write my name down and forward it to their Management. I did this twice on two different days with no response back. I left a comment on the inquiry portal that is autogenerated when I first filled out the online form. No response. They finally responded 5 days before my event and by then I had looked elsewhere. If you are planning any large event I would steer clear from this place.

Service here was absolutely fantastic. Our server was very kind and attentive. We got the calamari and shrimp as an appetizer and it was very tasty. The sauce they serve with it is so good! Our meal was the nachos that are meant for a family of four, and honestly they could feed six to eight. They were super delish but we wished there was more meat on them abd that the cheese was warmer. Awesome beer options too! We loved the ambiance here. So many tv's and very open! I'd love to come back and try something else.

Honestly, I just love this place. I really only stop by before or after a game at the AA Center but it's perfect for a quick dinner and some drinks. Just know it will be busy on peak days/times and sometimes there is a wait for a table or a fight for a place at the bar. But there are so many tvs and you'll find any game you're looking for playing. Fun spot for anyone.

We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. Between the atmosphere, welcoming service, and well-crafted drinks, it's definitely a place I would return to the next time I'm in town.

Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. After a long wait for our food (the restaurant didn't look that busy, but maybe a lot of to-go orders?) I received the pictured steak: I'm pretty sure I can still hear it mooing. How anyone could look at this and think this is medium-well is beyond me. I tried taking a bite, but it was so raw it was inedible to eat - I would've been chewing for ages. I brought this up to my waiter, who said he would take it back and speak to the kitchen. My group needed to leave for another event (didn't anticipate waiting nearly an hour for our food) so we simultaneously asked for our checks. The kicker? My waiter did not follow up with me on how raw the steak was and did not comp my meal/provide any kind of remedy. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but the lack of follow-through to remedy the situation was the icing on the cake (or insert some kind of raw steak pun). My cocktail (which all arrived AFTER our meals were delivered) was pretty good, thus the 2 stars. But I question why/how my steak was so raw despite me waiting 45-55 minutes for it. Overall, only come here for drinks - so long as you're okay with waiting forever & a day for them.
