The patient portal was changed a few years ago to something much less usable than the prior portal and now, medical records must be requested from an outside company that takes at least a week to provide records (if they are even provided then, friends have had difficulty with the company insisting records were sent when they were not, and the company has abysmal reviews online) that has no ability to track status of a request, and that doesn't have a phone number on its website (wake told me their was a number there, they couldn't find it either, then gave directions to go through a series of clicks on their own website to get the number, and then finally gave me the number). Had the portal not changed, I would have been able to easily download what I needed. Instead Wake made the decision to go to this new system and I cannot even walk into the office and get records - if I walk in and make a request, I'll have to fill out a form that goes to a third party company to get the records. I was looking at establishing care in Raleigh again but I won't be returning. The providers were good but apparently admin does not care how difficult they make the process of managing the non clinical side of being a patient.

The second was for my new patient physical. She is by far the most comprehensive doctor I have ever seen! She took the time to review my entire medical history, address any/all concerns I had, AND was genuinely interested in who I was as a person. Seriously, when do you ever get that from a doctor??? On top of that, she followed up with me after hours on several issues and took the time to find my prescriptions at the lowest cost possible. Really??? No doctor ever does that. Dr. Inaam J. Schneider does. If you are concerned about ObamaCare and the changes coming or if you are like us and just couldn't afford the new Marketplace pricing, go to Dr. Schneider. I am now convinced the DPC model is the way to go!

Maria (Dr. Schneider's staff) was helpful and cheerful from the moment I walked in and Dr. Schnieder spent more than an hour and half with me, listening and responding to my medical history. Dr. Inaam is knowledgeable, yet humble. In my experience, humility is a rarity in the medical community. Here's how I know this about her: It's really difficult to draw my blood. My veins are small and deep, and I can't tell you how many times I've left a blood draw and had bruises on the insides of both elbows for days. When Dr. Inaam and Maria didn't immediately find a good vein, they didn't poke and poke. They didn't even poke once! They gave me two bottle of water to drink to see whether hydration would help. When it didn't, they sent me to LabCorp where someone who draws blood all day every day quickly tapped a vein and got the blood necessary for my tests. There were many good things about my visit, but that was the thing that sealed the deal and made me sure Dr. Inaam is the right doctor for me.

YES, releasing patients is a thing, typically VERY rare in the industry due to the downstream impacts of abandoning patients, but 3 in 3 years, clearly not for this practice, and 2 PA's too in that time? One has to ask what the heck is going on over there?! Why are they having so much trouble keeping doctors AND patients? What is the common denominator? Say it with me....POOR MANAGEMENT! Despite proper notice, I was charged a $100 cancellation fee for an appointment I never attended. The charge is unjustified and not a medical service fee. I was on short-term disability and needed to meet my physician to complete insurer-required paperwork. I've since received repeated past-due notices and payment demands for this disputed amount. The clinic also sent notice that they will not accept partial payments, raising concerns about unfair billing practices. When I raised my concerns in writing and advised that I intended to file a complaint, I received a text message from the office manager, Dr. Gruber, accusing me of being "threatening." As an African American woman, I found this characterizes my professionalism unfairly and offensively. I am requesting: Removal of the $100 charge. Written confirmation that no further billing or collection attempts will occur. I have pursued this through the BBB, the Department of Consumer Affairs, and other consumer protection channels. This complaint is to show their unfair billing, poor communication, and discriminatory treatment.

Dr. Holt is an outstanding physician who really listens and he's open minded. He was open to it and referred me to a gynecologist for my check up and said we would go forward from there. It was a huge relief. I am disappointed to be with a new plan this year that is almost in no network but I plan to change that in the new year so I can return to this practice. I can't imagine anyone not liking him.

This practice is basically a pharmaceutical store front. The answer to every health question is a…read moreprescription. I go every year for a physical and get offered the same range of vaccines. My wife went in for a check-up and was prescribed blood pressure meds in the first five minutes of her visit. And, if you or your physician talks about anything other than your primary reason for the visit, you WILL be billed for a second visit (i.e., you get double-billed; check your paperwork). You've been warned.

Convenient to my job in RTP & in Brier Creek. Scheduling was easy; however, I had to schedule something two weeks out. WakeMed has a fantastic website where you can make appointments, message your doctor, review medical history, order refills, & send a private message to your doctor. You're also able to complete forms there, which is what I did for my appointment. Check-in was quick. I waited for about 5 minutes past my scheduled appointment time & the Tamesha, a medical assistant came to get me from the lobby. She was very sweet & friendly & was quick during my "pre-screen/check-in" process. I waited for about 20 minutes for my doctor, which I didn't really like, but they were busy, so I was OK. Dr. Rooker came in & she is bubbly & friendly. I adore her! We chatted like old friends. I really feel comfortable with her & she has good bedside manner. She didn't rush my visit either. I'm really happy with this medical practice.
