He will take your business but will not do the work for months and months and he won't even be upfront about it. He would tell you couple weeks and before you know it it is three four months and the work is still not done and you don't even have a date on when it will get done. And if you make a mistake of calling him to ask when he would come to do the work, he wouldn't answer calls for weeks and weeks. And when he eventually answered, he was disrespectful and rude you he was yelling, screaming and swearing. Oh I forgot to mention the only reason he answered was because we called from a different phone number that he didn't recognize so probably thought a new job that he can sign a contract for but never does. Replacement parts were itemized, which included a $2,500 pump, 3 floats ($500 for all 3), a new plastic hole cover and a plastic child safety barrier. After pricing everything online I could have acquired the parts for ~$4-5K tops with shipping and handling. When I asked for a price breakout to understand what I was paying for I was denied and told it was a package deal. I asked if they had a discount and was told the discount was included, but was refused when I asked how much the discount was. Electrician cost, additional pumping costs were not included in the proposal price. The day of the repair they called and said they wanted me to have a good experience so they covered the electrician's cost. Ha! 3 people showed up to do the job in an hour. 1 person worked at a time. They charged me ~$4K for labor. This company takes advantage of people when they're in a bad spot. Good luck, but I'd recommend looking for a less greedy company. I get it inflation is a thing, but this was blatant abuse.

So everyone eventually needs Steve. When our basement sewer backed up, everyone told us to call him. I was skeptical, because Roto-Rooter franchises in other areas of the US are not the best. Plus, the estimate was high -- ~500 for the first 100 feet of cable, and ~300 for the next 100 feet if needed. But Steve was great. He made time for us right away, figured everything out, fixed it, and the final bill was less than his estimate. I think he is very good, professional, competent, honest. We are lucky to have him.
