We're highly satisfied with their service both propane and also customer orientation. The automatic delivery system frees us from having to constantly check on our propane - even though I am cognizant of the level just because I'm obsessed with preparedness and I start calling when the level goes below 40% (the same propane tank powers the standby whole-house generator so a good supply is necessary). I gather they've got used to my consternation and the tank seldom goes below 50% before I have a tanker pulling to the house. Rymes offers convenient payment plans, whether market rate, fixed rate, graduated, etc. Some are clear winners if the price remains stable or decreases, some grant peace of mind against fluctuating prices during the Winter. Something for everyone. We most recently purchased a new water heater as replacement for our old one. Dealing with Jeff in the pricing, purchase and installation has been a pleasure. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Then in July the association got an offer of 1.94 on a prebuy from Eastern. Since I had not signed the original contract they honored the price, but were really vague about how the credit would be applied and refused to mail me a check for the difference. If Mr Clement and Eastern need my $102 that bad u feel sorry for them. BUT IT GETS BETTER..,actually worse. Dead River approaches the association and offers 1.79 a gallon. This is a warning to read the prebuy contract(who does really)with Eastern. In a rude way I was told you're locked in...nothing we can do. Plus "we don't know how Dead River is doing it. Really. Either Dead River is a much smarter more efficient company, or Eastern essentially said too bad dummy. Great way to build a customer base. BUT WAIT I said that I wasn't feeling very warm and fuzzy with Eastern so I asked what happens if there is a balance at the end of the season. Now bare in mind I had already told the girl I would no longer be a customer next year. She said we will apply it to next year, but if I insisted they charge a .50 per gallon fee. So something I paid for gets docked for what? Greed I guess. So stay away from Eastern, cash...not the customer...is king.

I was billed on January 16 for $758 because they filled both tanks then I get a bill today for $320 I know they haven't been back to refill so when I called it's because I didn't meet the quota of 190 gallons in the previous year so they pick a random number and charge you that, when I called she said it's in your contract which by the way I got in 2014. She sent the contract to me nowhere in there does it say specifically how many gallons you need to get per size of your tank per year to avoid this number that they pick out of the blue because that's also not written down in the contract. So beware they can pick numbers whatever numbers they want because they don't have a chart that says if your tank is this much, you must fill this much to avoid the rental charge. It's a really shitty company to deal with they just give you nothing but the OK sorry ma'am sorry ma'am, and they try to say that it's in their contract and their contract is so obtuse. It makes no sense! if you are considering getting a propane company make sure you ask about their rental fee if you don't get enough gallons. they don't know what they're talking about and they can't give you a concrete number don't use Eastern propane you'll be sorry.

One for our home and one for our generator. A couple days later they filled the tank. They informed us that they would not be able to make connections to the house or generator until November 13 as they had a full schedule. Today November 13. They show up and hook the propane to the house but did not connect the generator. I called the office to find out what was happening as they knew that they ran 2 lines. The office informs me that they needed to get a couple parts and the soonest they could return was mid January. Needless to say. We will be getting a new propane company that is competent I don't recommend Dead River to anyone that has to deal with the Bristol NH office.

I then contacted several local companies who could not help me for after the holiday. I started really panicking for the weather man said we're going into single digits this weekend. I made more calls, and DF Richard answered after hours too. I talked to the owner of DF Richard Energy who said yes we can help you. They came out that night to hold me over, then the next day with a full oil tank fill up and didn't charge me exorbitant fees as some other companies would have. A family owned business since 1932 with competitive pricing,, they have proven excellent customer service, we are not just an account number.
