Would they change them - Hell No. Because if they change the medication, they see that as an admission that they were using the wrong medication - SO, keeping using the Wrong One. Proof - I ordered and received the 1,000+ Medical Report after discharge to see what they were actually using. BTW, the bogus list of meds that they provide upon release bares no resemblence to what's listed in the actual Medical Record. And the bogus list included less than half the meds actually used. The same approach for dispensing the wrong dosage for the meds. Better yet, how about NO dosage? At times, NO appropriate medication was used. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worse pain; I was a 10 multiple times after an 8 level fusion surgery. Proof - If you PASS OUT and fall on the floor from pain, after suggesting suicide, that's a 10, period, no subjectivity involved. None. BTW, they get some of the employees to buy into the above approach, particularly the temp contract workers - they'll do anything to stay on the payroll!! And of course, Management knows that! Stay informed, And, stay away.

Some were great. Others complained they were overworked and one aid actually told us she was too busy to help. Social work staff never did what they tell you they will do. And PT makes determination as to Medical equipment needs upon discharge. They actually wanted my husband with chronic back issues to either sleep in a recliner, sleep on a couch, or have us buy a bed or move ours downstairs since he was incapable of climbing stairs at that time. I ended up working with the insurance company myself to get a hospital bed arranged. They were useless. Lastly, the medical director there changed many of my husband's meds and his dosages without consulting with his regular specialists. She really made a mess of his meds and left it that way for his primary care doctor to straighten out once he was discharged. Could not get out of there fast enough!

The location is beautiful and there are beautiful sunrises, sunsets and adorable deer to admire daily. Prior to being admitted, I was at a hospital in PA. I was not given much information about the program. There was a beautiful Cardinal that was perched in a tree when I arrived at the gate in a taxi. That helped me realize I was in the right place at the right time. Thank you. Much more to come.... There are so Many well-planned and thorough experiential activities. There's a ropes course, and very cool team building activities in the "barn". There is yoga once a week, somatic healing, trauma therapy, and an incredibly helpful Dialectal behavioral Therapy (DBT) four-week course/therapy processing etc. Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) is also utilized. Additionally, some very cool drama therapy sessions are sprinkled throughout the schedule. The food is good and the culinary team is very friendly (and talented). Provisions are made for vegetarians and those with food intolerances, etc. The staff and leadership team are stellar. The nurses are excellent and they genuinely care. I really found the psychiatric nurse practitioner (Nicole) to be extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable about medications. If you are interested, a non-denominational Sunday service is streamed and available for viewing. (The website for the ranch is extremely informative.) While I was at The Ranch, I was experiencing night terrors most nights. The nursing team and the behavioral health techs (BHTs) really demonstrated empathy and concern. Once a week, a staff member makes a nicotine/postsge/Target run. They have lists you can fill out and as long as you have a credit card on file, you're good to shop. Amazon orders may be sent by family, etc. If you need to place an amazon order yourself, you can request that your assigned therapist assist you. Cell phones aren't available - there are phones in each cabin. Every day, you may sign up for "phone time." You may keep snacks in a closet within your cabin. Everything must be nut-free. If you are wanting to have a watch with you, make sure it doesn't have camera access. Regular watches and kids basic digital watches work.

It is difficult to describe the positive experience you get when you walk into Hershey Family Chiropractic. There is so much that goes into the experience! You are so well taken care of. They make sure to check/help you in depth. The staff cares! They're always smiling and making you feel comfortable. It's literally like walking into a business that you have been going to since you were little, even though it is your first visit. Dr. Jen has helped me go from constant lower back issues to feeling like new. I would have periods where I could barely walk from the constant inflammation and now I rarely have an episode, much less one that leaves me immobile. The care is not aggressive or painful. It is just right. Let's not forget how awesome they are with my daughter! My daughter (5 yrs old) hops straight onto the table, happy to be adjusted. They have helped her overcome her constipation. They will also shower her with hugs and love, making her feel more comfortable. They also help "distract" her so that I can receive care myself (thanks guys, seriously!). As someone who was originally trained in physical therapy to believe chiropractors were bad and only cracked your spine and then you needed it for life, I must say Dr. Jen and her team changed my opinion of chiropractors completely! Not all chiropractors are the same! You need one who takes x-rays to see what's really going on, but don't worry with Hershey Family Chiropractic that will only cost you $30.00 and then they will donate that money to a good cause! You also need a chiropractor who also provides exercises to maintain the adjustments you are receiving so you don't have to rely on adjustments to feel good for life. You will receive this level of care with Hershey Family Chiropractic! I was a dancer for 20 years and always had some kind of back pain and for the first time in 20 years, I have NO back pain! I called up Hershey Family Chiropractor after a recommendation and was quickly set up with a consult. I met with my chiropractor Dr. Ash(ley) and got x-rays of my neck and spine. I have been going to HFC for some time but recently I was having terrible shoulder pain along with my lower back pain. I walked in not being able to get my arm above my head and walked out with minimal pain and being able to raise my arm in positions that I couldn't do in over 3 months. We decided to scout for another chiropractor provider after a couple of sessions. We found Dr. Bob Blake. The place is almost nondescript on the outside and very simple on the inside. But don't be fooled. Dr. Bob has been practicing for 40 years and the thing I like most about it was that, he's one of the very few straightforward healers I've encountered in my lifetime. When he had first seen me, he said that he doesn't need to see me 3 or more times a week because anything more than 3 times a week means I probably need a surgeon. He was very candid. He didn't try to sell me his practice by making me come in a couple of times a week but rather he make sure that I come in for the therapy based on my progress. Now I come in regularly for maintenance and keeping my bones and ligaments in place. His clinic is always busy with patients walking in and out. There's plenty of parking space as well. His staff are very accommodating and pleasant. I noticed that most individuals have been coming to him for many years just for maintenance care. If you're new in town and needed an expert in chiropractic and needed adjustments, Blake Chiropractic is highly recommended.

Douglas, at Live Well Medicine, treated me weekly with acupuncture to help heal my injury so I would be able to walk the 150 miles. He also helped me plan a training schedule to prepare for my trip. Throughout my healing and then training he was encouraging and supporting me in my plan. Without the kind and thoughtful help and treatment from Douglas this trip would most likely not have happened.
