It was loaded with toppings (without ordering "extra") and delicious . Used DoorDash for discounts which definitely helps in the current economy. The place was pretty clean, definitely liked the set up. Good for a quick in and out pick up. The workers were very nice, even making some conversation. Different Cheesesteaks #927 & 928. Special Guest Eater Brian Marranzini was having so much fun we got more cheesesteaks and went back to his house. PJ's deli was on my Go-to list. This is a great country/small town deli. I am guessing Casey and Frannie know everyone in town. They have locally made goodies on the counter. Frannie was nice enough to go off the menu and make us a Grilled Cheese Cheesesteak. It was very tasty and had a nice balance of flavors. On the other hand, maybe I would have liked more meat?? We also got a (3 for $10.50) deep fried cheesesteak. They wrap the deep fried cheesesteaks at PJ's. We call it an egg roll in the video but it was more deep fried cheesesteak than egg roll. Ordered a salad. Online menu says $6.95. It was $11.50 at checkout with no add-on's. Walked in to pick it up and the place smells like cigarette smoke. Immediately turned off from this place. Opened my salad to find flat iceberg lettuce with a pile of onions and a few pickles. Had cut up chicken pieces and some bacon. Pretty sad looking salad for double the price advertised. Our order was wrong! Ordered a wrap and received a Roll that was soggy and chicken was tasteless! Husband ordered a pizza steak with sweet peppers we were charged for sweet peppers unfortunately there weren't any on sandwich! fries were cold. We live 2 minutes from Deli and usually have no complaints! We were offered a remake on the wrap, but by then my husbands would have been cold! This place is about 2 miles from my house so I really want to like the food. The cheese steaks are bland and for some reason the roll is always soggy. I've ordered a few times a year and we always end up with soggy rolls. Pizza is ok but last time we ordered the dough was not fully cooked. All the sides so fries, onion rings, etc are definitly just made from frozen...fresh would be an improvement and help to keep the product consistsnt. It seems like the onion rings are different every time i order, they probably changed suppliers. Expect to wait for your order during the dinner hour...they don't seem very organized with different people making each part of the order and no actual cashier up front, just whomever happens to be free. read more

Ordered a chicken cheese steak with no onions, they wrote no onions on the paper wrapping the sandwich, I got home the cheesesteak had more onions on it than meat. Very disappointing, and yes like someone else mentioned, a bit disturbing during a national pandemic that's killed over a half million people they would brazenly have no social distancing or masking protection. At one time this was one of the best deli's in the area but since the owner sold it to an employee soon after the fire well it went down hill- We used to order from here ALL the time but they now use lesser quality products and not a lot of taste for the steaks which are usually so soggy with grease that you might as well schedule an appointment with your cardiologist-- and as mentioned the employees act like you aren't even there and are extremely rude beyond belief !!!! Closest to South Jersey SUBS I've had since we moved up here. Never had a problem, Frannie and the crew are really pleasant. The cold and hot subs are really good. The cheese steaks are chock full of meat. My only suggestion would be to add more cheese on them. There isn't much cheese flavor. I haven't tried anything else there yet but am planning on trying out their new chicken dinners soon! Prices are pretty reasonable too! read more

We started ordering from PJ's in 1994, when we first moved to the area. They were our go-to for wings, had great pizza and were the best for cheesesteaks in the area. Sadly, since reopening after their store burned down, our several orders have been disappointing. The onions are now sulfurous and bitter, the wings that used to be large and meaty are now the same tiny ones with broken pieces that we used to go to PJ's to avoid, and the quality in general is inconsistent. We now drive right past them to get better quality elsewhere. I can no longer recommend them, which is a shame. read more

Went there the other night and wanted to order a couple cheesesteaks to take home, I stood there for 10 minutes waiting to order there was three people working. The guy with the black glasses was sooo ignorant!!! I asked if I could place an order and he just looked at me, and didn't say a thing. He kept trying to look busy. I've been going to PJ's Deli for over 35 years so they are doing something right to keep me coming back. The cheesesteaks are always PACKED with meat, good meat too, and the sweet sauce is delicious (even though sometimes I just want it plain. The cold subs are always fresh and packed with meat also. minus a million stars! i had to press one star otherwise it would not accept my evaluation...that is just wrong.... i can accept no stars but to be forced to toggle one star? not cool yelp. Just got done eating part of the worst cheesesteak i have ever eaten from this joint.....and i have suffered through the crappy fare of geno's and pat's in philly. I now have a new low: this s**thole. (I refuse to type the name.) Worst bread (how do you screw that up???); completely tasteless meat (and none of it! see previous review!). absolutely nothing to commend this horrible sandwich..... no redeeming qualities at all. To make matters worse: the fries were:1) horribly undercooked; 2) soggy; 3) old (one order was there when i got there SOME TEN MINUTES OR SO BEFORE I LEFT); and 4) tasted at best like cardboard (generous) and realistically: terrible. And we were charged extra for hot and sweet peppers and onions! I questioned that.....the response? "That's what everybody in the area is doing." You know what else they do? Cheesesteaks take less than two minutes to cook but considering rush orders (i was the only NON-EMPLOYEE in the dump) and specials (i guess sweets and hots are tough to negotiate....but still chargeable!).....well 10 minutes is not too long I guess.......not!
