I usually check reviews before visiting new places, but after getting into a terrible auto accident, I decided to go wherever insurance sent me. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The customer service was terrible, and the inside of the vehicles was in poor plus dirty condition. To make matters worse, the people working there seemed unaware of proper customer service, appearance and simple communication. In my opinion, this is the last place you want to go to after being in an accident, as they will only make your pain worse with their lack of care and service. I had to return the first car and forgot my garage door opener. Upon returning (7 minutes later), they told me the car had been rented out and, therefore, they didn't have it. When I left, I saw the car sitting out in the rain with two windows down. Additionally, the new car hadn't been washed or cleaned from the inside. There were French fries and sticky soda throughout the car, as well as fingerprints all over the windows and screen. To top it off, two different alerts went off, such as "oil change required"! I ran into some difficulty getting a vehicle and on this particular day she was the only one working. there was someone else here but she was only able to help with extensions and the room was filled with those needing there reservations. she also had help with a leaning the vehicles as well. she also helped with me getting the vehicle repaired due to a CVT malfunction. i was out of using the vehicle for my whole reservation. once the vehicle was fixed ahe helped with extending the reservation so that I could continue with uber rental. read more

One of the most frustrating experiences in renting a car due to the return & billing aspects. Especially redeeming my rewards. With my rewards redemption, my final bill should be around $8, not $200 for a weekly rental. I made the mid-size reservation via telephone. Upon arrival, the employee stated due to my calling Reservations a few hours beforehand & utilizing my rewards didn't provide enough time for the branch to confirm inventory. Not that the parking lot wasn't full of vehicles. Despite being quoted a certain price at the time of booking, I was shocked to discover additional hidden fees & charges upon returning. The final bill was close to $350. I tried 3x to call the location, no answer & forcing my hand to contact Hertz via X/Twitter. Corporate intervened & got everything taken care of. Customer "ZERO" Rudeness "100%" I came here to rent a car and the lady at the counter was having a bad time with her current customer. She yelled at me over the counter and she was not even looking at me. She told me to register by scanning the bar code and to have a seat. After 1 minute she asked me if I was picking up a reservation and I told her that I was. She asked me if the reservation was made for the same day and I said that I did. She then told me that they do not take same day reservations and that I have to wait until Thursday. He communication style was extremely rude and not warranted. I called the 1-800 number and they do no take complaints over the phone and that I had to write a review so here I am. The office is very poorly designed and it looks like a mechanic shop. I found myself in a situation that was literally giving me headaches: the body shop would not release my car for almost 30 days bc Clear Coverage wasn't responding to/paying them. Hertz was calling me telling me they were going to repo the car at my expense and I could not get in touch with the insurance guy. On top of that, I was being charged for insurance from Hertz that some guy there named Paul said he removed. D'Jon the manager and John the other manager were very kind and empathetic and it all ended up working out. On top of that, the guys at the front building were nice as well. I've had a terrible experience with Hertz, and I'll never rent from them again. I booked a Tesla for Saturday to head to a family event in SC. To my surprise, they informed me that they didn't have any vehicles to rent. Despite this, they allowed me to reserve the Tesla. I spent $107 on Lyft rides to get back and forth to the Hertz location, hoping to get a rental from them. However, when I'm finally leaving, they pulled out a black Ford Expedition. I asked how much it would cost, and the price was four times more than the Tesla. If I had gone to Enterprise, they would have accommodated me by giving me the truck at the same rate as the Tesla because it was their fault that they didn't have any vehicles available. It took over an hour to get our car with few customers in the place. We actively heard the manager berate a customer and ignored us while on a social call and then fraternized with the back staff. There were pine trees growing in the gutters. Our car when we finally got it was covered in the front with smashed bugs. At least they did vacuum the inside which took thirty minutes. Rented a medium sized car for $295. Returned the car at 4:58pm and the guy hurried himself to close the door telling me to drop the keys in the key box . Still on time because I had for the rental at 5pm on Thursday . . Returned it Monday . Few days go by and not only did I not receive my deposit back . They charged my credit card $900 . Never emailed a receipt , when you call they don't answer and when you go there there is nothing they can do so I had to dispute the charge with my bank because what did you charge me almost $1000 for ? This place has no customer service! I brought my mom up here last Thursday to pick up a car for which she had a confirmation number. First off the parking lot looked like someone pushed over a trash can- stuff flying all over the parking lot!!! On top of that they had no cars available and told her to comeback Tuesday at 8:30. We get here this morning to a line of people who had been waiting since before we got here. We watch 4 employees walk past customers without even a good morning and the doors weren't opened for such a growing line until after 9am. The employees did not look professional. After 10 minutes of being inside the entire line of people (about 15) were told that no cars were available but that they could check back around noon Do not use this location- they couldn't care less and especially if you are an Uber Driver. They will allow you to rent cars online. Then, when you arrive, they say you have to go to the airport to get a car because they don't have any. This has happened to me twice in a row. Definitely a one star. I made the reservation through Hotwire, but from experience, I made sure to confirm with Hertz the next day. I called the number (goes to customer service rather than the location) the day after making the reservation to confirm pick up time, location, and deposit amount as well as how deposit needs to be paid. Ok cool. I tried to contact the location directly multiple times, but there's no way to get through to them. The call always disconnects. I'm thinking it's ok. Time to pick up. Pick up is at noon, they close at noon. However, I confirmed over the phone with Hertz it was fine. Well they don't know who works at these locations obviously, because it WASNT ok. Front desk associates stared at my boyfriend as he tried to open the door and said nothing and talked with each other. Another associate walked right past us, saying "Closed, can't help you", locking the door back behind him. I'm on the phone with customer service AS this happens, and I tell him his efforts to reach them are futile. Like he doesn't believe me and tries and the call disconnects. Conclusion: I get you close at noon, but don't accept or confirm prepaid rentals at closing time if we can't pick up at that time! Would've made it 11 if it was that serious. Now it will take 7-10 business days to get a refund when they couldn't take 7-10 minutes to get us a rental we prepaid for. We went to enterprise down the street. read more

What a nightmare it has been renting a car through this company. How can a company allow their franchise to operate in this way! Zero customer service! No one picks up the phone at this location! Like how does a place of business have a phone number, but never answers it. I've been renting a car through Lyft for a few months and not once have I called there and someone has picked up the phone. Due to this, it forces me to drive 40 mins from where I live to this location just to get help or get answers to simple questions that could have answered over the phone. This causes me to waste my time and resources to get there. The lack of care and consideration for the customer is disgusting, I will never rent from this trash company again and as a business owner myself I will never recommend this company to anyone personally or professionally. Hi, first off I would like to say that this is my second time renting through Lyft using Hertz cars. My experience the first time was horrendous to say the least. Hertz made up for it so I decided to get them another shot and try and do Lyft and make some extra money. Guess I'll start by saying customer service this time around was much improved. Now to the vehicle that I rented, I reserved a sedan and received a Buick Encore crossover...that's the first issue. The car was a lot cleaner than the one previously rented, but I still took it to get a little cleaner in the inside and out. The next morning I'm heading out to do some Lyft and to my surprise my garbage has a huge oil spill that has come from the Buick I been given. It's so much oil that I go to buy cat liter to get it up. I thought the oil plug had been left out of it, so I checked and it was there. So now red flag, I'm not doing Lyft in this car. I have no way to take it back and that was the main reason I didn't return it right away. They give you the run around about no car are available so I just kept it. Thinking it should be ok to drive, I then notice the passenger rear door does NOT lock with the rest of the doors. 2 days of having the vehicle the brakes are grinding. I'm not sure who is in charge of the maintenance at this location but it's clearly a huge issue that needs to be address. After reading the reviews on this place, I'm surprised it's not shut down. This place is giving Hertz a bad name and no one seems to care at all. There are many many negative Google reviews on this place. The cars are trashed and lack major repairs, most of them being safety issues. I'm not paying for this awful experience. If I can put a 0 star, I would I went to this specific location for the first time with my family. Because I was renting a car , I got dropped off at by Uber at 7:56 am. It was cold and raining outside . I asked the lady in that was clearly sitting directly in the front . If I can sit in the lobby. She looked at me and my son wet and cold and said no, stared at us . This is now 7:58. Then walked to the back. The reason I arrived five minutes earlier was because my pick up was at 8 AM. This was not my first rodeo with rental cars or with Hertz but I was surprised. So I said, to myself, maybe a safety protocol, I don't want to ruin my vacation with my family because of her being rude. At 8:03 AM now, a gentleman comes and unlocks the door and turns his back. Does not prop. The door open does not say good morning just simply unlocks the door and turns around. So I waited a minute because I'm unsure if I'm allowed in or he was just going through a checklist of opening items. It was very awkward. So I cracked open the door and asked if we're allowed to come in because now there's a line behind me. He stated yes. as I checked in it took 45 minutes for a prepaid pre-registered rental car to get to me and I was the first customer there. He made me call my insurance to verify information. I've already supplied him on my coverage. I have never waited that long for a rental company, this delayed my trip and my travels that day. I let it go because everyone is entitled to a bad day. Upon check out, it was 7:30 AM. They were not in the office so I did the express check out. I sat in the car waiting for my Uber because it was raining yet again the same gentleman that checked me and came to the car and literally stated ma'am I need you to get out of the car. I thought it was extremely rude because obviously I'm here to drop off the car and I'm early. I'm just waiting for my Uber to get here . Why else would I be here but to drop off a vehicle. The customer service is horrible, I will tell anybody that will listen that I will never use this location or probably Hertz again. Not only was the most expensive. Three day rental I have had the experience had I not changed the narrative for my family could've easily ruined what was supposed to be a fun time and a family vacation while the kids were on winter break. Anyone looking to rent a car I would go anywhere else. The entire staff was rude, short, take your money elsewhere. Horrible customer service. I was given a ragged out car with less than 1/4 tank of gas, gas cap was missing, driver seat was broken and back right tire made loud noise. I was going to exchange the car but they told be I would not be reimbursed for the gas that I had to put in it. A manager was supposed to call me back but never did. Do not prepay rental because if you return it early, they will not refund you, even though the local location told me that I would be refunded. I definitely do not recommend Hertz and I will definitely never use them again. read more
