I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car while using a rental covered by State Farm after my accident. The rental was supposed to be paid for by State Farm, yet on the same day the vehicle was due back before close of business, my bank card was charged $396 for a rental deposit/authorization without proper my permission.. Also, a prior transaction charge for $79.00 without my authorization.. I worked with an employee named Crystal, and 1 am very unhappy with how the situation was handled. The charge caused unnecessary stress and confusion during an already difficult situation. I believe customers should be clearly informed about any pending charges or authorizations before charges are processed. I strongly encourage others to carefully monitor their bank accounts and review all rental agreements and deposit policies before leaving the location. read more

How does a whole company run out of vehicles, especially when a vehicle is reserved.? I am in a different state with reservations for a vehicle. You let me travel across the country then tell me "there are no vehicles available." I have a phone number on file. I have an email on file and you said nothing. I rented a car from this location and it was the worst experience of my life. I'd already had my own car break down earlier in the day. 15 minutes after I got the car, the battery was dead. I kept trying to call the office to get help, the phone was never answered. I called 8 times. Roadside thankfully showed up after an hour and jumped me. But the battery was in such poor shape he informed me that the battery needed to be replaced but that was something Enterprise had to do. Of course by this point it's after 5pm so the location is closed. I had to drop the car off with the key drop just so I wouldn't end up stranded somewhere again. I'll be requesting a refund because frankly this is unacceptable. This was going to be a two week rental. Also discovered an ant infestation in the door frame while Roadside was trying to jump start. This review is isolated to the current manager and his inability to resolve an issue effectively and his inability to be empathetic. I reserved a car 6 days in advance to drive 10 hours for a close family member funeral... the points didn't transfer to this locations' system...the manager took me on a roller coaster ride of unnecessary extra efforts... his tone was bothered like he'd been having a rough day as well. He gave me two different numbers to call- NO ONE COULD HELP NOT EVEN THE ESCALATIONS TEAM!! I would very much like to speak with someone who can look into this further...Please note...everyone's system I called Except Cumberland matched my reservation. Justin, from the moment I walked in and saw your attitude toward the person you were on the phone with and could hear his voice and that he didn't deserve your attitude, I should have known you were going to be unhelpful. I tried to call ahead and let someone know when I would be there but no one picked up. When I mentioned that I had less time than I thought, instead of making things easier for me by being prompt, you actually went slower like you were expecting me to drive the conversation and wouldn't make a move until I told you what to do. If your lazy self isn't going to actually help anyone, the least you could do is not make things MORE difficult and delayed for people. When I asked if you could help me unload a few things from my car, you could not have cared in the slightest to help and only stated your excuse saying that I would have to wait, knowing that I obviously wasn't going to wait. This location is dishonest and shady. I had a one-way rental from this location to the Savannah airport location. When I went to pick it up on 05/19/18 the lady claimed that nobody returned a full size car and all she had was a Jeep Compass that was already cleaned up and ready. She said the only other vehicles available were minivans and trucks. We went around the car briefly and she said nothing was larger than a quarter or dollar so there were no scratches to acknowledge. I'm in a hurry and I didn't notice any significant scratches or dents, but I half looked which is on me. After thinking about it I realized she didn't want to send one of her better cars on a one way. The car had 52,000 miles and didn't even have an auxiliary plug. I get to the Savannah Airport and they point out all kinds of scratches that I either didn't see or she covered with a quick spray wax that wore off in the rain. I had to fill out a response on some report and now pray that Enterprise doesn't give me a hassle about the car because none of those scratches were from me. The workers were pissed and said this happens a lot. They plan to send it right back to that location. Bottom line. Firstly, the people at this location are shady at best. Secondly, if you doing a one-way rental anywhere be aware of this practice. read more

My daughter and I went to rent a car at 2780 Cumberland Blvd location. We arrived at 10:00am and was pleasantly pleased to see they were practicing social distancing . The representative met us outside and was wearing a mask. The entire process of renting the car was done outside of the enterprise office. He was very helpful and patient as we had to rebook the car so we could add a second driver at a lower cost. We also had to come back 2 hours later to change our form of payment. We have been trying to rent a car all morning and have been on the phone with Enterprise. We were told to pick up a car at this location and when we called to check to see if there was a car for us; they said no and were unwilling to help us. Also, we asked if they could possibly stay open for 5 mins; 6:05pm in case we didn't make it on time since we've been trying to get a car and needed assistance. I hate to do this but after the experience I just had on last night with Enterprise... I just couldnt pass this by. Enterpise your customer service is TERRIBLE! You call this CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE? My car caught a flat, called roadside who gave the tow company the wrong phone after I verified it 10 times. Never got a text or anything. I was stranded for 4 hours on the side of the road waiting. Then once the car gets towed, I'm told to go do an exchange the rental at the Atlanta Airport. There the manager refused to exchange a vehicle due to some process flaw between Enterprise and Roadside and I the consumer is caught dead in the middle or the back and forth and no one helps me! Like I did something wrong here!!! I don't work for Enterprise. After all the work I had to do, y'all need to cut me a check and pay me. Why create a protocol and NOT consider the impact to the consumer. I still don't have a car and don't know when I am going to get one. I did EVERYTHING I was Told and find out that y'all centers operate differently and throws everything at the consumer. This is not fair. I need some resolve ASAP. I am still Stranded!! Let's see if I here back because no one has called me, I don't know if I am going to get a car or not. So Enterprise will just take your money, leave you with out a car and the consumer has to put up with it. Wow and you call this customer experience? If I could give 0 star, I would. They were supposed to pick me up at 5:15 PM. I waited until 5:50PM before calling them to see if they're still coming. The lady (Rachel) apologized, kept me on the phone for over 10 minutes....and told me Jeremiah will pick me up soon. It was already 6:00 Pm when I hang up and I can hear people joking and laughing in the background...so I thought...hmm...what a hardworking and pleasant bunch. I really appreciate that they would come pick me up after closing time. (FYI, they close at 6). I waited and waited...so at 7:30 PM, I thought since they're such pleasant people, I'll help them out by showing up at their rental location. Upon arrival, the door was locked and lights were off. I thought: "oh.....!" Called at 8:30AM the next morning...I believe Jeremiah picked up the phone. I told him the situation. Again, he checked the records, apologized and promised to pick me up within 30 to 45 minutes. Again, never heard from them again. Waited until 12:00 PM and called again. Rachel picked up and was apologetic initially. Then she tried defending and said they called me at 7:00 yesterday and left me a message. I didn't call them, that's why they didn't pick me up....so it is my fault that they didn't come. There was no missed call and voicemail at all on my phone... Here's the conclusion: 1.They'd promised anything, but will never fulfill the promises. 2. They'd blame you for their mistake. 3. "we will pick you up" is just a marketing gimmick....at least at this location. read more

My two weeks renting from Enterprise was terrible, for almost the entire duration of my business with you. Scratch that. The whole rental period was painful. I came to your company because I'd totaled my car, and Enterprise has a partnership with Allstate. When I made the reservation, I was told that since I was coming through Allstate, I'd be able to use my debit card without high deposits or bill verification documents. While I had several credit cards, I did not want to place any of them on this transaction because it had not been made clear how much it was going to cost and I needed to keep my balances low. However, once I got to your counter, I was not only told something different, but I was also told that "those folks don't know what they're talking about." How does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing? Why are two people within one company giving out two totally different sets of information. However, that was a minor inconvenience compared to what came next. While finishing up the checkout process, I was told that since I was coming through allstate, roadside assistance would automatically be added at no charge to me. I thought that was great. However, one week later, when I sat on the side of a very busy highway after the car I'd been given simply stopped accelerating and slowed to a crawl on the highway, things got bad very quickly. After calling the police, I called Enterprise's roadside assistance. They told me that in order for them to send a tow truck, I would have to get to a safe area. Here is my question. How am I to get to a safe area in an inoperable car? I don't know the answer to that questions, however, the operator made clear that it was my responsibility to make that happen. After repeatedly asking the operator how I should magically move myself off of the side the highway to a place that was safer for the tow truck driver, she continued to respond that she couldn't send a tow truck until I got somewhere safe. I guess she finally figured out that I couldn't get somewhere safe if the car wouldn't move. She sent a tow truck and let me know that the driver would pick me up and take me to the Cumberland Blvd location to get another car. Somehow, the tow truck drive did not get that information. As nice as he was, he had to refuse to take me to Cumberland, and instead took me to the airport. At the airport, the security guard had no clue what was going on, the receptionist at the service area was not at all concerned with my ordeal, and I ended up wasting 2 hours of my life, trying to get back to the business I was conducting before your car stopped. Finally, I got into another car. Surprise, surprise...the Bluetooth was malfunctioning. I called location after location for a week, trying to switch the car out. I was so frustrated at the fact that everyone, day after day, said 1) they don't have any cars to switch, and 2) call back on this day at this time. Several call backs later at the requested times on the requested dates, I decided to rid myself of the burden of dealing with this company. I bought another car. When preparing to turn your car back in, I was told that I would be charged for roadside assistance. Why? Because I'd refused it when I went to pick the car up. Help me understand this. How could I possibly be charged to get roadside assistance after YOUR car broke down. I didn't lock keys in the car, run out of gas, or drive over a nail. Your car simply stopped working. Nevermind the fact that I was told that I wouldn't have to pay for roadside assistance because I came to your company through my insurance company. I have never, in my continued support of your company, had such a frustrating experience. As a business owner, I am grateful that the two hours I wasted being sidetracked by mishap after mishap occurred on a day when I didn't have any meetings. read more

My rental experience started off well, and ended well .. on a severe down note. Christmas Eve - my car was finally ready to be picked up from the shop, so I could turn in my rental car. 8:30 -- My daughter's birthday. We always have breakfast for her birthday and I was driving the Passat on the way to meet everyone. I got a flat tire. No problem I can change a flat. I pop the trunk open and there were no tools in the car to complete the tire change. I call the office that I rented the car from, they can't help and make me find the rental agreement to find the Roadside Assistance phone number. I dial the Roadside Assistance number, and I'm informed that there will be a charge for them to send someone out to assist in changing the flat. I call my wife - pulling her away from the Birthday Breakfast for my oldest daughter to come meet me, and bring me a jack and tire iron. She agrees to do so, so I call roadside assistance back, and cancel the call. My wife arrives, I jack up the car and get ready to loosen the lug nuts. Opps they are locking lug nuts. I search the car .. no key to the lug nuts. I all roadside assistance back, and request that my assistance request is reactivated. Informed that it will be over a hour, I head to breakfast to at least spend a few minutes with my daughter on her big day. A hour goes by - no call from Roadside Assistance letting me know someone is on the way, so I call back in. The Roadside Assistance has no record of me calling back in to re-initiate the call. I go back through the explanation of the situation, and the CSR that answers the phone puts me on hold for 15 minutes. When he comes back on, he tells me that their roadside assistance won't be able to change the tire either, so I'll have to wait for a Tow Truck. I ask if there is some Enterprise Location that can just bring me another car. 20 minutes of hold later ... No, there is no other option. I'm going to have to get towed to the Enterprise Location that I rented the car from. This was at 10:15am. I wait, patiently, at around 2:00pm I decide that I need to call into the Local branch to ensure that they're still open, and also begin to discuss being sure I'm not going to be charged for this waste of a day. 8:30am - 2:00pm for a simple flat tire. I reach the office, who is supposed to be expecting me, and they have no idea that I'm being towed to their office. The associate Peter (or Paul) inform me that they'll talk to their Manager and get back to me shortly. 30 minutes passes no return phone call. I call back, and get another associate that says something to the effect "We're busy, he hasn't had time to deal with your situation". I request to speak to a manager. Hunter the manager of the Cumberland Location comes on the phone, and essentially tells me that they close at 3, no way to get me another car, and no chance they're going to waive the Roadside Assistance Fees. I've been waiting on the customer service CLUSTER for 6+ hours, I'm still sitting in a church parking lot and now I'm being told I'm going to pay for the service failure, on top of losing a days wage. DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE - Especially from the Cumberland location. The manager there is a complete waste of space, and isn't worth minimum wage. read more

So far, so great. This branch is located in the HH Greg shopping center about 1/2 from the new Braves stadium. I have rented from several Rental Car companies and locations in Cobb (Hertz, Avis and Enterprise) and find this to be the best in the area. I primarily rent from airports and find that non-airport locations don't have the selection and often the cars are not as clean. Renting from ATL airport is more expensive due to the airport taxes/fees so I try to rent off airport when it's for leisure. This location excels by having clean cars and excellent customer service. Both times I have rented they had someone available to pick me up or drop me off (I did not need a ride, but appreciate that one was available). This Enterprise location honors my National Rental Car loyalty status and I earn points with National when renting here. For the sake of keeping my National Rental Car status and for the ease and convenience of this location, I will be renting exclusively from this location going forward. read more

Ugh. Had to rent a car on short notice to go on a business trip because my car was in the shop. Gave me a car with near zero gas. Only made it two blocks before the low fuel light came on. There was an odd light on on the dashboard, that I eventually figured out was the "Check fuel cap" light. It was on when I got the car, stayed on after I checked and fiddled with the fuel cap, stayed on after filling it with gas (twice). Eventually the "check engine" light came on too. I'm assuming that the bit with giving you a car with zero gas is just a scam because it's hard to return a car with zero gas, so they get free gas out of the deal. The dash light was just negligence, much like the dude that walked around the car with me and left it to me to fix the wipers that had been left standing away from the windshield as if it had just be washed. (Did he not notice???) . They also gave me a Grand Caravan when I requested a compact car. Didn't really need to buy gas for a bigger car. But generally, they shouldn't have rented a car with zero gas, or one with warning lights on. But they didn't seem to care... Will report to my employer who has a contract with Enterprise. read more

We decided in the last minute to rent a car during our short stay in Atlanta as we realized there was a lot to see here. I googled Enterprise Rent-A-Car as I knew they would come and pick us up. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and told me they would pick us up in 20 min. 10 min later, Manny called to tell me he was downstairs. He drove us back to his office, completed our reservation right in the car (we didn't even need to go inside)! He even gave us a great recommendation to go for lunch!! What a great experience! This location nearly ruined my vacation when they failed to honor a reservation that I had made for minivan. What is particularly disturbing is I called to confirm that they had the requested vehicle the day before I was to pick it up! In speaking with an employee at the location he simply told me they didn't have the vehicle available and tried to say didn't have a reservation there. He was in fact argumentative. I made the reservation through Costco who I intend to let know the location didn't honor the reservation. Luckily another enterprise location about 30 minutes away did have the vehicle I needed and the manager from Cumberland did it absorb the additional driver costs. I appreciate his doing this but my comfort level with doing business at this location is pretty much nixed! The car wash associates blast music non-stop; at times even very early in the morning. For those of us living behind the plaza and working from home it's very inconsiderate. I'm genuinely happy the associates are able to work during these tough times, but I don't understand why this location refuses to make an effort to be a good neighbor. I have called repeatedly and VERY politely made requests, but to no avail. This has been going on for an entire year. I can literally hear it right now sitting in my home. I actually walked there to pick up the car and then got refused. I've rented from Enterprise a number of times recently and I'm a "plus" member but somehow today I needed utility bills.
