Upon return I arrived 20 minutes before I needed to return my vehicle and then proceeded to wait over 30 minutes at the counter. I shouted to see if anyone was in the back, called Avis national, Avis customer service, the location's phone number, the manager's phone number (which was just the generic line again), and emailed the manager. The guy then pops out from the back closet all of a sudden without any apology and says "it happens". Still never admitted fault. Don't rent from this location and absolute screw from Avis today on New Year's Eve.

He then tells me they're sold out of cars and have been for a few days and that the system shouldn't have let me book because they have a waiting list with (4) other people in front of me waiting on cars. My issue is, if y'all have been open since 9AM and you saw a booking come through, why are you not calling those bookings to let them know NOT TO COME instead of having them waste their time and money to get to you? There was also no solution for not having a car available. Not a "we've got additional options at another location" or nothing just We can put you on a waitlist! People don't rent cars for leisure, they rent them because they need them for a specific purpose at a specific time! The lack of urgency and solution makes me not want to book with Avis nor recommend them to anyone!

The rental was supposed to be paid for by State Farm, yet on the same day the vehicle was due back before close of business, my bank card was charged $396 for a rental deposit/authorization without proper my permission.. Also, a prior transaction charge for $79.00 without my authorization.. I worked with an employee named Crystal, and 1 am very unhappy with how the situation was handled. The charge caused unnecessary stress and confusion during an already difficult situation. I believe customers should be clearly informed about any pending charges or authorizations before charges are processed. I strongly encourage others to carefully monitor their bank accounts and review all rental agreements and deposit policies before leaving the location.

Being that this particular rental was not personal but business I had to make sure everything was accurate. Of course I'm only allowed a certain amount per diem. I called in advance (Days before pick up date) to make sure I have the correct amount and double check for any hidden fees. Everything was cleared, I was good to go and submitted everything to my boss. I arrived at the location for pick up slightly early (I did not mind waiting for my car to get ready) and upon renting the car the young lady informed me the correct rate (including taxes and etc) for the rental. I swipe my card for what I was told. Moments later the other gentleman at the counter asked about insurance, I inclined but specify I needed the cheapest rental insurance simply because if anything were to happen my job would cover me. Well unfortunately the young man didn't throughly explained the pricing because my account was nearly in a negative shortly after. After receiving my car (not knowing my card was being charged multiple times) I realized the key remote did not work, I was already informed that there were stains but I wasn't aware of not being able to utilize the trunk. In order to use the trunk you had to pull the gas and trunk level at the same time because obviously something was wrong. Overall it was a disaster. My car was a disaster. I'm still awaiting for my refund and now I may have to get a replacement card because my bank sent me an alert stating Thrifty attempting to take additional funds. I refuse. I'm warning you all, please ask what exactly you are being charged for.
