Small airport, I'm a Hertz 5 star member, instead of a board or 5 star section, you go to the desk and pick up your keys, no booth to exit. It was still quick. read more

Give some people a little, and I do mean little, power and there head swells up like a hot air balloon. Nicole needs someone to pop that balloon. She was so full of her power she neglected to remember the customer. We had a problem with our Travelocity booking. She kept saying she was sold out and had no cars available. It took us one full hour to solve this and it involved corporate to call the manager and the manager to call Nicole. She did not try to assist us in any way. Just kept saying "no cars available". Funny how that car appeared after the phone calls. Bravo to Travelocity for standing behind their booking and helping us to solve the problem. Never Hertz again. read more

Is there a lower rating possible than 1 star? This review is specifically for the Rochester, MN branch. The men are rude and arrogant. We had booked a car through Expedia and pre-paid for it. After driving from the airport to the Mayo clinic, we noticed a light of noise coming from the passenger side of the engine or tire. Since it was already late, we waited until the next day to exchange the car. The guy tells us that there is no problem with the car and that if we want to upgrade, it would cost us an additional $200. That was fine since we did not want to deal with a car that had loud sounds coming out of the engine or wheel. We signed the agreement and charged the additional $200 and were on our way. A month later, when we received the charge card statement we noticed that Hertz had charged us a total of $428 in addition to what we had already paid Expedia. I called Hertz with the problem and was abruptly cut off by one of the men clerks who informed me that the charges were accurate. How would he know if he didn't even know who I was or my itinerary or transaction number? He refused to deal with me and told me to take my "hysteria" to Expedia because Expedia should not have charged me the initial rental amount. I subsequently called Expedia and an agent attempted to work it out with Hertz. The guy was still being a jerk to the Expedia representative and as a result, cut him off also and said it would be a "final" no to any adjustment. This is a big issue to me because I do travel often, both for business and pleasure and I do often rent from Hertz. I should say I did rent from Hertz, but no more and I will ask friends and business associates to boycott Hertz also. read more

Bad luck: I will take that. They said that they will send me the bill. A month later, some lady from the Claims dept. left a message on my land line and we played phone tags for another month despite my leaving her my cell number and e-mail. That's just stupid inefficiency, but what's most despicable was that they seemed to have found another damage in the bumper -- it wasn't pointed out by the agent when I returned the car. This is not fair as the scratch could easily have been there before or after my rental period, since the agents at the store didn't notice it before, and nor did I. I complained by e-mail and by phone, but got NO replies. I will let my credit card claims company deal with this (many hassles on my part to file paperwork, etc.) I will probably NEVER rent from Enterprise again, and will share this experience with my friends and family.

We pulled up and went to start gathering our belongings and we were greeted by the valet. He asked if we were checking in and we said yes but needed to gather our things after a very long day of driving. No problem he took our name and ran inside but quickly returned. They kindly helped us unpack our car and assisted us inside. We were gratuitously greeted and checked in. We went with the executive suite so we had access to their lounge so we could work and make phone calls. The room we had was with two amazing queen beds and ver new looking and very well appointed. Spotless from top to bottom. The executive lounge has an amazing staff that too is well appointed and very clean. Thank you to the staff that made dinner reservations and made our stay very pleasant. The pool is great! The staff are all gratuitous and polite. I am very impressed and we will use this hotel for every visit. The staff went above and beyond and I thank you all.

I…read moretypically stay at Hilton brand hotels- Hampton inn, garden inn, etc but my sister booked this stay for me for her son's baseball tournament in Rochester. Like I said- I'm used to Hilton hotels and I was quite surprised by the spaciousness, but especially the comfort of the bed! I typically don't sleep well at hotels just because the bed is so uncomfortable but this bed was just as comfortable if not more than my $8k bed at home. The suite was nice- a pull out sofa, sink, dishwasher, stove top, closest, large desk, private room with a king size bed, plus the shower and bathroom were separate with a closed door from the sink and additional closet. The room also got super cold which I appreciated because I like my hotel rooms to be at 60 degrees in the summer (crazy I know) and this was way cold even at 65! Also, free breakfast is always a plus. The only criticism I would have is that the workout facility is practically right in the lobby with windows for walls for everyone to see but I didn't plan on using it this time around so it wasn't that big of a deal but if I had I may have felt a tad uncomfortable but not because the clientele, just feeling like everyone can see in. I would stay again.

The shuttle drivers are very, very helpful, and the subtle runs from early, around 5 AM, until 7 PM. The complementary food served in the morning is delicious, and the coffee shop is good, too. This was my second time staying for a week or more, and the staff was good to me night and day. I very much enjoyed the full-size refrigerator, and the kitchenette with supplied cooking equipment and silverware. The non-carpeted floor in the entryway/kitchen/bathroom was clean, and the carpeted area seemed clean, too. I do wish they provided handheld shower, heads, but oh well... certain people can't be trusted with that kind of responsibility, right? For this price point, with the Mayo patient discount, I felt like I got my moneys worth.

The hotel was quite busy the weekend I stayed so there were longer lines at breakfast and certainly more hall traffic and noise throughout the day. One critique I'd provide is needing more breakfast staff on hand. They ran out of plates and ran low on hot items. There were several of us standing around waiting for quite awhile. I just ended up putting other food in a napkin and taking it back to my room to eat. Not ideal but doable. For location, ambiance, and room quality, this Residence Inn is a solid choice. They just need to fine tune the breakfast experience during peak times.
