If I could give you zero stars I would. So here goes my little story. -I called HERTZ the day before my pickup to ask if they could pick me (3 miles away) up and they said "no, we don't do that anymore". My wife took half the day off work the next day in order to take me and pick up the car. When I arrived, I was given keys to a very disgusting dirty white car. The girl who was assisting me didn't really care about why it was so dirty, and she proceeded with taking pictures of all the scratches and damage of the vehicle like I hadn't even said anything. I proceeded to taking video myself to annotate the damages and how dirty the car was. I was going to take the car and get it washed myself, but my wife insisted on why we should be given a dirty car. I don't have to wipe my own table when I go to a restaurant right. I finally asked for the manager and explained to her the situation and I saw her semi turn to another person and as she rolls her eyes and tells them to go wash the car. She tells me that it would take about 20-30 minutes. My wife and I went to grab something to eat and came back 30 mites minutes later and my car is nowhere to be found. I asked about it and they told me that the driver was on the way back. 15 minutes go by and I asked again and asked where the car was taken to be washed and was told Auto Bell on Holland Rd which is 3 miles away. Finally, I see the driver pull up 30 minutes after this (1 hour 30 minutes in total). I am beyond angry but composed and I asked him where he has been with my car if the carwash is less than 10 minutes away. He tells me that he was told to go pick up a customer. So, my car was used for a service I was denied, using my time, gas and all while I was waiting. I usually don't write bad reviews but the unprofessionalism that was displayed at this HERTZ (3205 Va Beach Blvd) is beyond disgusting and like every big corporate agency, no one will care about my complaint and won't even hear about it. I think what really pissed me off the most was that at no time from the 1st lady to the manager did I even get a slight apology for wasting an hour and a half. A simple apology goes a long way, "trust me. If you had simply owned the mistake, apologize and offer to wash the car or given me a voucher to take it to the car wash, I would have. At the end, the car wasn't even cleaned that well anyway. Tell the staff to take a walk to 3269 Va. Beach Blvd and take notes on how they treat their customers. I swear on my first born, I will never rent from HERTZ ever again. I guess it's true when they say, "you get what you pay for". read more
