So... despite Uber and Lyft saying that they're in Deadwood, they are NOT in Deadwood. So after…read morespending 30 minutes flipping between the apps and waiting for them to find a driver, I asked the receptionist at the Hampton who confirmed that there's no Uber in Deadwood. She said that only Dakota Taxi runs in the winter. There's only one taxi running on weekdays. But they do pick up the phone, and they are pretty dead on with their pick up estimations. I called for a lift from the Tin Lizzie to Terry Peak, and Lloyd told me that he was in the middle of a couple rides but would be there to pick me up in about 30 minutes, and he was there in exactly 30 minutes. Be prepared to share the ride if someone is going in the same direction or is along the way. In a one taxi town, that's reasonable. Thankfully, everyone seemed friendly enough. Lloyd (the daytime weekday driver winters Monday through Wednesday) was a hoot! He is a long-time area resident and is full of fantastic yarns, area history, and travel advice. He got us up the icy road and back safely and kept us entertained the whole time.

He drove slow for us to have extra time in the car before we went out--drove around the block a few times when we asked because we weren't ready to get out (still just a flat rate per person btw), and he told us when we could and should pop our heads out the sunroof. The limo is really nice and very clean, and I loved that we got to listen to our own music . Terry was also so patient with our drunken requests and directions on our ways home. We had so much fun and can't wait to get to take the limo again. Thank you Terry for such wonderful and safe service! I highly highly recommend taking Safe Limousine!

They go off roading which everyone else loved. but being someone who has lost a loved one, due to an accident, I did not enjoy this. One driver recognized this and he respectfully calmed down for me. The next time I got on the bus, the guy asked if we liked off roading. There were a few of us that said "no" but he did it anyway and then when we got to our spot, they all called me a Karen and yelled things at me. If you're up for a dangerous experience, go for it. Being in an accident isn't on my list. you're probably going to see this company on the news someday, for vehicular homicide.
