So, I accidentally dropped a tube of face wash down the toilet on Monday night. After various attempts of retrieving the tube, I resorted to Yelp for a plumber. I found Hesson Plumbing and enjoyed the reviews. Although I saw that he was available 24/7, I didn't feel that it was necessary to call in an emergency at 11 PM over face wash in the clogged toilet so I decided to wait until the morning. I called at 7 AM and reached voicemail. David (the owner) called back within 15 minutes and got me on the schedule between 11 AM - 1 PM. Prior to his arrival, I received a couple reminder texts and emails about my appointment which I thought was nice. He and Nick showed up promptly at 11 AM and were out at 11:10 AM. David was very friendly and knowledgeable. The cost for those ten minutes of service was $150 which I feel is kind of high, but he advised that it was his minimum service charge fee. After they left, I noticed that the tool they used to push the face wash through the drain left a couple metal scratches at the bottom of our toilet. I would definitely recommend Hesson plumbing again and would consider using them again. My only concern would be the cost. If a 10 minute service call is $150, I can't imagine what something a little more serious would cost. One additional note and it's silly, but I really liked the quote on the back of David and Nick's long sleeve shirts - "Stop Stressin, Call Hesson". Cute! read more

I called them at 5:00pm on a Friday when I had a hot water pipe spring a leak in my basement. Within an hour if that, the guy showed up and looked at my pipe and had the parts to fix it right away. He charged me $99 for the service call and it was $189 for the pipe repair which I felt was a good deal especially considering it was at the end of the day on a Friday evening. I was impressed at how quickly he responded and how courteous he was. He wore a mask to be safe with covid concerns. Hesson Plumbing responded quickly to my message I left and then responded to our house within the hour of returning my call. He repaired the water pipe quickly, so we could have hot water again ASAP in order for us to take showers that night. He was courteous and did great work for a reasonable price. Called this company about installing underground drain lines from two of my downspouts. The woman that answered said Heston did not do this kind of work. I told her I knew they did because my neighbor across the street had them do the same thing to his property. I asked her to have them come and give me an estimate. She said there would be a charge of $99.00 just to give me an estimate. Their prices must be awfully high if they want $99. up front. read more

Really wanted to use this company to do the rough in for a second bathroom in my house. The guy that came out seemed nice and knew what he was doing and the price the quoted me was great. The only issue is they didn't quote me a cost to do it with a permit and I really needed that for when I plan on selling the house here in a year or two. I was having a nervous breakdown over my sump pump and downspout underground drains being totally clogged and possibly needing replaced, potentially costing thousands and tearing up my yard. I saw some good reviews for Hesson so I called them, and from the time Sarah answered the phone, to the time my problem was solved, it was less than 8 hours! Greg, Bobby, and Dave came out and ran camera lines, then jetted out sludge from roof shingle granules, and tree roots, then ran camera again to be sure the drains were totally clear. Everyone was so friendly and polite, and I received very good communication from texts and emails. The cost was very reasonable, and most of all, they were HONEST, what a relief! I inquired about an outdoor spigot in which I couldn't get the screw to move to remove the handle to replace the inner parts for a frost free spigot. I mentioned this and they indicated they could fix it. Two guys came, I explained I tried myself and sprayed WD40 but I didn't want to strip it. I assumed they had a better way. Nope, one guy came back from the truck with an impact drill and spent 30 seconds with that and the screw didn't budge. They said they could cut the handle off but it could create a bigger problem. The basement ceiling on the inside is finished so I don't want to risk having to cut into it. He said it'll be $99 for a trip charge. They were literally here for 5 minutes, I already had the water shut off, he used the same thing I would have used and the second guy just stood there. I understand there is a fixed cost to run a crew but they didn't accomplish what I believed they could. I emailed the owner but never heard back. Hesson's website says they treat you like family. All they did was take $99 and didn't solve anything. I was actually shocked. I mean $49 I could understand but I clearly said what the problem was and that I tried turning the screw already. Why would I want to pay you $99 to do the same thing I already tried? It just didn't seem like good, fair, family like treatment that they say they are all about.
