The sewer line at my home in Columbus was clogged and caused backfill into my basement. I needed a hydro-jet service right away and hopped on Yelp to receive quotes. Plumbing One got back to me immediately and I was soon in touch with one of the owners -- Jess. Jess was able to schedule an appointment the next day. She cleared out the line quickly in less than an hour with no issues. Fast forward a month later and my line got clogged AGAIN! Stressed and confused -- I immediately contacted Jess and she said she could check out the issue the next day. She discovered some clothes got clogged in the line since the hydro-jet appointment and was able to dig it out. Goodness! Horrible luck on my end but grateful Jess saved the day twice! She is incredibly punctual, kind, and overall just great customer service. Fair prices too. Will use Plumbing One again in a heartbeat if I ever need additional needs (crossing my fingers it won't happen again!). read more

If ever the term "singing their praises" needed to be taken literally, now is the time. I am so incredibly impressed and pleased with this company, let me go back 24 hours to explain. After two weeks of calling around and fighting with other issues, I saw Plumbing One in the "Comments" section of another home improvement store. Our water heater failed and with funds as tight as they were, we were particular about the price we were going to pay for the replacement and the cost of installing it. When I called "PO", they (Tom) was quick to answer my questions and, although he was actually on assignment in the field, promised to get the information for what he couldn't quote ASAP and call me back. He did, within 5 minutes. Not only was it possible to have it installed this morning, but the price he quoted was half as much as some of these other so-called credible companies. To make things better, his was a one-time fee versus other "per hour" rates. The conundrum now was the need to actually GET the water heater, since we hadn't anticipated the readiness. He and I spoke several times, as my window of opportunity to lock a next-day appointment was closing. To make things tougher, when I went to purchase the heater, the (NON)sale price went up $100+. After waiting over 15 minutes for assistance that we never received, we walked out and drove to the competition and found a better deal. Sadly, after we got the item home (I hauled it myself), we realized it was too late to get it done before the weekend and would have to wait until Monday (what's three more days of cold showers and boiling water for cleaning?). Well, here's the real surprise. I got a call at 8:03 this morning from servicemen Ron & Tyler, who were in the area and willing to install it IMMEDIATELY or Monday, whichever I preferred. Do I even need to tell you my answer? 90 minutes later, we were signing the invoice and patiently waiting for them to leave so they wouldn't have to witness the 4-person Fight Zone single-elimination event to see who would be the first two in the hot showers! Not only do I swear by their excellent service and business acumen, I give an additional hoorah because they managed this despite the recent fire damage to their business, which has supposedly impacted their efficiency... ...not that you'd know it. I have other upcoming plumbing needs and I already know who I'll be contacting. I guess it's only appropriate that there motto is, "The One To Call". Bravo gentlemen, bravo. read more

Hired trade to install sewer and supply to my brand new kitchen sink . The first time I used garbage disposal, the p trap came apart unknowingly to me it then flooded my brand new cabinets.. Which at that made me aware of the situation I then frantically called Plumbing One for assistance for this was the weekend.. Monday morning I received a call from Jess. who informed she knew that the drain was improperly installed by them . As I was attempting to get resolution to this situation she hung up on me repeatedly as I called back the final conversation she told me she was contacting the police. So at that point I contacted the building department to see if the workmanship was to code and or correctly for I am not a plumber. At that time I contacted Attorney General Contractor Fraud Department explained my situation and filed a complaint. i contacted local police jurisdiction as per Jess. stating she was contacting police department. At that time the police informed me no complaint was called in. As fraudulent as her statement was so was the workmanship. Very thankful for Jess and her team. She went over the options of what type of piping would be suitable for my home and which would be best during the winter. During the consultation/quote she noticed other issues with the home and showed pictures of the concerns she had. She also pointed out that with my home being an older home it was not up to code on a couple of items. She was very thorough in describing the work that had to be done and I was pleased with what was all included. She showed pictures of all the work that was completed in the crawl space. Knowing beforehand that getting plumbing work done on my home wasn't going to be cheap. I was totally happy with the price of the work that was done and the quality of work that came with it. I'm only giving 1 star because they did a fast good job but.... Let me start over from the beginning I found these plumbers on Yelp & seen good reviews so I thought ok there close so maybe there'll be ok price wise & get to me quick since they were about 5-10 mins away. Well they got to my in the time the said great! But then I was told after they kinda did a quick check on both my 1st floor & 2nd floor toilets that it was $120 an hour flat rate for any work. Plus parts of need be. Well 1st floor toilet just needed to be snaked & 2nd floor toilet my 2 1/2 year old had put a mc Donald's toy in it. So the tech had to pull out the toilet to get the toy out. This took all of about 35-40mins needless to say I still had to pay $120. Which I thought it be prorated but any who I needed my sh!tter fix so I went ahead and paid and was happy until 4 days later the 1st floor toilet(the one WITHOUT the toy stuck in it from earlier) started to slow up until it stopped up again so by this time 12 days had passed. (SIDE NOTE: hubby was using plunger to unclog it for few days before that trick stopped working) so 12 days later I call them back asking them to come re-snake it. Well I'll be damn if they didn't say it's gonna cost another $120 I was like WHAT DO U MEAN!? It's only been 12 days not even a full 2 weeks and mind you that there is a 30 day labor guarantee which I figured if anything they wld come check it out and if it just needs snake not charge me again. Or if it had a toy in it also (LoLz) then I would get maybe a travel fee but NO NO they said the minimum charge wld be $95 for the "service call" LoLz ok no! When I asked isn't it cover under a warranty he hesitated and then goes "ah no I mean if a toy is stuck in there again it's a charge call" and I told him it's not that it just needs snaked and he goes "well the most I can do for you is knock off the $25 trip charge" so I just said I'll call back. Knowing I wasn't! Because I checked my invoice receipt & notice that it's not $120 an hr but $95 an hour and a trip(aka gas) charge of $25 to make it $120.i felt like because I'm a woman they were trying to throw me for a loop. Because if you were just here 12 days ago to keep my possible future biz & to keep from having a BAD Yelp review for everyone to see I think it would have been a better ideal to just snake it for free (because it's been 12days damnit!!) and if there was anything in there then charge me not a full $120 but maybe half like $60 to maybe $75 but damn near $100 just seems dumb. So needless to say they lost my biz & im telling any & everyone be careful because not only will this company snake your toilets but they are greedy snakes in the grass!! read more

I called John (the owner) up and told him that I was trying to save money and that a buddy of mine would install a flood overflow valve in basement instead of using John ( Plumbing One). Big Mistake on my part!!!! Long story short my buddy drop 2 flood valve into my drain and I called John and he told me that he would come down himself to take care of it. 1st off mine you he's the owner and taking his time out to come down and take care of a problem that I cause which John was nice enough to volunteer to help out. John came down and fix all of my plumbing problems with the help of Paul which he called later on because he needed a certain tool that he didn't have in hand. Bottom line John have me as a client forever with his honesty and sincerely wanted to take care of his clients. John is a true owner he's passionate,very knowledgeable,personable, have pride in his work and works with integrity. He's a rare find. I've gone thru so many plumbing company and not once have I stay loyal. This is my 2nd time using Plumbing One and will be until I need plumbing service. I trust them and feel very confident with their work. I am telling everyone I know about John & my experience with what he did.
