I cannot express in words the gratitude I feel for Hestia and the wonderful team of caregivers that cared for my husband in his final days at home. Had it not been for Hestia, I would not have been able to care for him alone. My husband had been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, was bed bound and needed help with everything from feeding to bathing and RN Cheryl and the CNA's Alysa, Melinda and Sara always cared for him in the most compassionate and respectable manner. What can I say, Hestia kept true to the things they promised in their caregiving commitment. RN Cheryl was always just a call away, if I needed her and she never failed me when I needed her the most - no matter the time. CNA's came in daily to help with daily hygiene. Yes, even on Sunday. They left him feeling refreshed and clean. Eliza's massages always left my husband in a calm & restful state. Noah was a great inspiration with his wonderful stories and wealth of experience. He was there for spiritual advise, guidance, as well as comfort. I am truly grateful that I picked Hestia to help me in my husband's final days. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. read more

It is difficult to give a star rating to Hestia. On the home care side it would definitely be a two. Our caregiver is fantastic but the office staff who schedule and keep families informed are not professional in their attention to detail, their promptness and accuracy in communicating or in their help with problems. On the other hand the Hestia Hospice Staff- the new medical director, Emma, Penny, Cheryl and Charlene-would get a 5+ rating from me. My parents developed a need for in- home care very quickly. My initial contact with Maurika was on a Tuesday and by Saturday of that week we had a caregiver in my parents home. Hestia has been very helpful during this difficult time of dealing with change and our 'new norm'. They have been flexible as we continue to align care with our needs. As a family, we dealt with a very difficult terminal illness and caring for our parent was extremely challenging. Hestia wasn't around then. I met Maurika a number of years ago now, and I have to say that she is the most passionate person I know for helping others and making it possible for people to stay in their homes if they want to. Hestia caregivers are unsung heroes for a very difficult dementia patient. Very organized & professional!

I never write reviews but I felt it a responsibility to warn everyone away from the poorly run business. The turnover in caregivers is due to overwork and little training. Caregivers have not shown up, given my mother the incorrect medication and forgotten to use her gait belt when she uses her walker. Please avoid this company for the safety of your loved one and your peace of mind. read more

I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the care Hestia has given my parents over the last 2 years. They moved from Jacksonville, FL the Fall of 2015 and Hestia put together a care plan for both of them that included the basics but also a ton of other services that greatly increased the health, well being and happiness. Both of them were on walkers and my mother was pretty limited in her ability to get around. A hair stylist, yoga instructor and physical therapist came to the home and saved them the struggle of getting out on their own. Their care givers have all been excellent. I love telling the story about walking into their house one day to find their care giver sharing her music with my father (he's a a big music buff!) and had him dancing while my mother laughed and sang along. They are all about improving quality of life. The in-home doctors and nursing visits that came with their care package helped them SO much. They were as healthy as they ever had been in the last 2 years. Hestia believes in staying on top of their health which in turn prevents trips to the doctors and hospitals - such a money saver for my parents, the insurance companies and Medicare. My mother did continue to decline and during her time on hospice, Hestia was there every step of the way, guiding me and my family through a difficult time. They rallied and tripled the care hours within a day of her hospital return. Every care giver was so professional, kind, caring, capable and totally focused on helping me and my family. I'll never be able to thank the, enough. And now they continue to care for my father who is a veteran and has the challenges of Parkinson's. His caregiver brings infinite joy to his days as he works through his grief and makes sure he is able to stay living on his own, in his own home. She trained with him for a new Parkinson's therapy and ensures that he does his exercises every day. I never have to worry about my father when Anna is with him - she takes care of him the way I would which allows me to continue with my job and get some respite care of my own.
