The treadmills and bikes are state-of-the-art and easy to use, and the weight training equipment is pretty new. The on site restaurant is very convenient. After a good workout, it's nice to have the option to pick up a delicious and healthy meal. The menu offers a variety of options, including wraps, salads, juices, smoothies, and açaí bowls. All the dishes are made with fresh ingredients and taste amazing! The staff at Purlife are incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a stroke four weeks ago, and Giana gave me alternatives to exercises that I was unable to perform. Yes, all coaches do this, but, Giana also challenged me and made sure I was doing everything correctly. She has compassion and I have made three months of progress (according to my Physical Therapist and neurologist) in four weeks. Four weeks ago, I could not walk without a walker and now I am barely using my cane. The class today had two pregnant women, a man with extreme shoulder issues, and at least one brand-new person. There's no competition or judging, if you're not pushing yourself than the only person who is losing is YOU! The first week is free and after that it's $75 a month for unlimited classes or $10 per class. If you don't feel like exercising the second month but want to come back the third that's perfectly fine!! No sign up fees, no paperwork fees, nothing hidden. They also have a store right on site with prices you can't beat, there's also a store online where they sell just about anything you need to get fit fast. I know this is an outstanding review across the board and some people may be skeptical but if you show up for the FREE WEEK you'll see I'm just another participant trying to look good, my personal reason is my wedding in December. He modifies the exercise if you have an Injury or have trouble doing it. Class sizes are generally small 10-12 people in the 6:30am class. This gives him more personalized time with each person. Hooray for sunlight and seeing the outside world! I guess I had taken this for granted. The treadmills and stationary bikes sit against one section of these, and I can almost always snag a machine either against the window or just next to it. Then the weight bearing machines are also in front of the next set of windows, so my whole experience here is open, airy, and filled with light. -The music is not too loud. I can listen to my own music or audiobooks easily even with open earbuds. It is even possible to have conversations with real people or with earphones. -The music that is played is 'retro' - from the 90s I think - and I much prefer this over techno music. -The colors of the gym are soothing to the eye. Not gaudy or blaring. Still... fix the water fountain!

I wanted to do Silver Sneakers, but I did not realize how hard it was for non-Humana members to get into a class. I am not knowledgeable about gyms. They have a wonderful girl at the front Kendra I call her smiley she is so friendly and always smiling and the Asst manager Justin also was helpful. I really liked John as a personal trainer, he is wonderful, so I forgot about the manager and tried to exercise. Did not know i signed for 3 months with HIM and now he is leaving. I no longer want to be a member of this gym and I had been told I can cancel at any time. They have billed me $73.83 for the year, $296 for personal training that won't happen as John is not here and $148.00 for an introductory Personal training 8 sessions that I have not finished as John was not there 2 times. They need to care about their members not just about money.
