WE LOVED IT HERE! They are old cottages that have been 'lovingly' renovated with modern fixtures. VERY clean with everything you want in a room: coffee maker, fridge, microwave. The first Monday of the month is a tsunami siren test (ask me how we found out). It's reasonable, close to Long Beach with it's various stores and restaurants and RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the Seaview Biscuit Company! I have a separate review for that, and YES, you have to try it! The Seaview Cottages is a popular place and because of that, we had two different rooms during our three day stay. One night with double queen beds, and two nights with a king bed. So make your reservations early! If we are ever in this area again, THIS is the place where we want to stay! It made me one GLAAAD SISTER! :D

The bathroom was a bit cramped but the overall decor and set up was really cute & had everything we needed. Surprisingly, there was a dishwasher, oven, crockpot, toaster, microwave and refrigerator. We would definitely rent again. A frustration was that the front door wasn't aligned making the door really difficult to lock from the outside. I saw this mentioned on other reviews. They really should repair it. We did have an issue with the dishwasher also. It wouldn't quit chiming after we opened it during the cycle. We turned off the breaker to try & reset it but it never happened. It would have been nice to have some instructions. Other than the that, it was a nice stay.

The deck lights were out and we called and they came out right away to fix them. Which was great because it gets really dark here. They were prompt and friendly. The house is warmly decorated. There were just a few things that impacted my decision to give 4 instead of 5 stars. * Directions to the cottage say look for 219th Street, 219th Street doesn't exist, we ended up driving down the three driveways we thought it could be while looking at the website picture to match it with the house we were looking at. It was dark so that was an inconvenience for sure. Just say look for the 21905 sign at the entrance of the drive way. * There is a burrowing critter that is TEARING UP the back yard (see pics) my husband and son tried to play tether ball and the mounds are ankle twisting land mines. We had a good time and I would stay again I just think it's important to give an honest review.

My boyfriend and I booked one of their listings in Long Beach, Washington back in June. After leaving, they texted him saying the maid service had found a pair of shorts, and asked if we wanted to pay a $25 to ship them back to Portland. We immediately accepted the charges through Airbnb ($25) and waited. Weeks passed, and I texted back asking for an update. This went on for months. It is now the end of August. I checked in every couple weeks asking when I should expect the item to be shipped. Finally, after a handful of generic messages saying "we will look into it," I wrote a message expressing that it had been multiple months now and I would like my item shipped. They responded back that they were "unable to locate the item." I wrote back a long message asking for explicit details about how this could have happened and what exactly has happened to my item. A different person texted back that they would look into it and get back to me. Apparently, my item was put in lost & found, and when a staff member went to ship it, it had vanished into thin air! I am not sure how a pair of shorts could have disappeared from a one-room office on this property. They were clearly hoping I would drop it and they would not have to admit their negligence. It seems clear that a staff member decided to take them, and there is nothing they are willing to do about it. What if this had been a high-value or sentimental item? Regardless, this was a vintage clothing item, and I cannot replace them. I am livid and this company is extremely unprofessional. If I knew they would lose or steal my item, I would have driven the few hours to retrieve them.

It's antique yet incredibly polished and pristine, with so much character. There is a small living space in the downstairs with a half bathroom. There's a microwave, coffee pot (with coffee and tea provided), toaster, etc. but no kitchen. The two person hydrotherapy massage tub is to die for - probably my favorite part of the cottage. The view is beautiful, some grasslands before the waterfront. There's also a big two person out door soaking tub. Overall, wouldn't usually go out of my way to write reviews - especially long ones - but this was the perfect beach retreat. 10/10 will always recommend & hopefully return.
