Grease trap full

Up-on arrival for our 4pm check in at Surfview 3, the house code that we were given was not working at all. Called the office and 24 hour emergency number numerous times leaving increasingly urgent messages to call back and no one ever did on the numbers provided to us. Finally got a different ph number and raised the cleaner who was just finishing up a house and said she would be there in 10 minutes. That turned into 20 which now put us entering our house 45 minutes after the check in time - they charge for early arrivals and late check outs but do you think they would respond to keeping us waiting to get in by offering a discount - Heck no! On to cleanliness - the floors had sand all over them and were dirty as witnessed by the filthy bottoms of our socks. We were told to remove our shoes and so did but after seeing what that was doing to our socks, put them back on. The grill outside was filthy and full of grease in the trap along with the entire stand splattered with grease which our dogs found, of course, one tank of fuel completely empty and the other with a whiff of gas so BBQ'ing was not going to happen. Also the BBQ unit they have in Surfview 3 does not have a lid so outdoor cooking was indeed challenging with the wind that is always present at the beach. They automatically charge a hot tub cleaning fee which we asked to have removed as we had no intention of using it but were shut down. My daughter decided on the last night to go ahead and use it since we had been charged but the hot tub was full of sand in the bottom so clearly the cleaning does not happen between guests even though they charge dearly for it. On a good note, the place is well stocked in the kitchen, plenty of towels and even fold up beach chairs. Pretty good location, it is a definite walk to the beach though so elderly people beware We were asked to go to the management company before posting with any complaints or problems but the email back was very nasty and asked us to find a different place to stay in the future throwing out buzz words like extortion, bullying and threats when asked to refund part of the cleaning fees at the very least. This was a really important weekend for my family and had we let it, it could have ruined the vibe for the entire time.

We just had the absolute best experience stopping in at Snow Peak in Long Beach!…read more After grabbing breakfast with my nephew and coworker, we decided to check this place out. Being locals, we've heard many good things about the campground, but had never seen it for ourselves. We weren't certain that we would be able to just walk through and check it out, so we were a bit skeptical at first. That's until we met Beth, who was working in their onsite cafe/camp store. I have truly never felt more welcomed in my life! Before even entering the cafe, we felt like we were talking to someone who's a longtime friend. Not to mention, she made us the some of the best drinks we've ever had. I ordered an iced matcha latte, which was incredible. They use ceremonial matcha, it's the real deal! My coworker ordered an iced mocha, and said it was the best he's had in a long time, if not the best he's ever had. Beth was kind enough to tell us more about the property, the things they're known for and all the amenities you have access to when you book a stay. She welcomed us back whenever we would like, and told us we could hangout as long as we wanted. We decided to utilize their corn hole boards, as a huge fan of the game I was excited that they had this as an option. The game went on for a lot longer than we had anticipated, and it was quite warm outside. Beth brought us out ice waters, which was so sweet! We did some more exploring before heading out, and we were not disappointed. We checked out their sauna, which looked like it was straight out of a dream. Cold plunge, a beautiful sauna room (that I unfortunately did not get a photo of) and a huge hot tub. We didn't want to leave! Overall, this place is absolutely incredible. We were only there for around an hour and a half, but I left feeling relaxed and can't wait to go back. We already have plans to book a stay! Beth, thank you so much! You are so wonderful and we can't wait to come visit with you again!

The main reason was for the Ofuro spa, which just looked absolutely stunning in photos. I booked my weekend stay very last minute so none of the cute wooden cabins were available, but plenty of field tent sites (which is the cheapest option, if you bring your own tent/gear). Check-in was easy and Jasmine was very kind and answered all my questions and helped me book my Ofuro Spa slots (they send you a link to make the reservations yourself but I didn't want to make an account). The buildings on the campfield are gorgeous. All made of wood and reflective of Japanese and nature aesthetic. The building with the restrooms and showers is perhaps the most beautiful bathroom building ever and it was always SO clean! The campstore is also beautiful with lots of windows to let the light in and sells everything snow peak, as well as provisions. The cafe part of the store sells beverages like coffee and tea, pastries, and also japanese hot dogs! The barista Beth was the loveliest person - she's local so she can tell you what things to check out in town! The terimayo hot dog was tasty! The campstore also has games and books! And outlets at the big table and also wifi! The Ofuro spa was definitely my favorite part - the architecture is stunning. There's a main pool that's like a hot tub, a cold plunge pool, and a sauna. There's also a fire pit and chairs off to the side too. There are cubbies for your stuff but no lockers. There are only four changing rooms with showers. Bring your own towel and bring slippers. Also recommend bringing your headlamp if you are going during the night time slot. The spa was really great and it was relaxing when barely anyone was there, which happened two of the times I went - which were the adult only times (first and last slots of the day). I went once I think around 5p which does allow children and they were treating it like a kiddie pool, splashing water around on the other guests, even though the parent told their kid to stop doing that. So best to go during the adult only times. Check out was easy! Forgot to mention that they have big wagon carts so you can transport your stuff to and from the car in the parking lot. I would love to come back one day and stay in the cabins!

I should have known this was wrong because they then charged me right away. I later wanted to use a different credit card and booking service, so I tried to cancel my Expedia reservation. Expedia couldn't do anything about the refund, and I didn't get any cash back credit for the stay because it showed as cancelled on their end. The male worker at the inn refused to let me get a refund on my original credit card. Once we were there, it was insufferable. Our room faced west, so keeping the windows open during the day time would warm the place up too much even with curtains closed. The room was severely stuffy no matter what we did. There's no air conditioning, but they provide a fan that doesn't give any relief from the sun's heat. The rooms aren't soundproof at all. I could hear people on the other side of the bathroom flushing their toilet. I also got sick when I was there and went to the front desk to ask for a bottle of water that should come with the room because we didn't want housekeeping. The front desk wouldn't give me one and said I had to wait till the next day and ask housekeeping myself because housekeeping was done.

Our last visit to the Long Beach Peninsula on the WA Coast was back in 2013…read more I booked lodging here back in July 2024 for our week long stay during June 2025. We arrived shortly before check-in time at 4pm. We were provided with site information, parking permit, and wristbands/room cards. Somehow I ended up with a major room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated. I also appreciated the welcoming and congratulatory items: tote bag full of snacks, fresh baked cookies, wine, cider, jam, and various local business discounts. The overall site was large with onsite communal areas. We did not use any of them, but nice to know of its availability, such as: library, DVDs, onsite cafe & mini market, gaming area, workout room, pool and hot tub. Our home away from home for a week had two twin beds, a double Murphy bed, and a king bed, two bathrooms with amenities like extra towels, blowdryer, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There was also a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, living room, and dining table & counter seating. There was also a patio with grill, 3 flatscreens, DVD player, fireplace, and overhead fans. Despite the WiFi availability, using our phone service as a hot spot proved to be faster and better connectivity. We felt the property was relatively safe and secure, had proximity to retail, activity venues (movie theater, horse corral, go-karts, kite store, bike rental, and mini golf) & dining sites, and great public beach access. Overall onsite staff were welcoming and professional. So why just three versus five stars? As a long time owner (well before WorldMark, Wyndham, and Travel & Leisure), there were things that weren't quite up to expectations. Dated interiors like faded or chipped trim and sills, visible debris on the window sills (dead fly), carpet (paint chips, bobby pin), dingy towels, sand in the washer, and dirty glassware/flatware. Let's just say we kept our socks on and that also demonstrated that the carpets weren't quite as clean or thoroughly vacuumed. Under the living room sofa cushions, more visible debris. I used Clorox wipes from home on lots of surfaces. I swept floors, put towels in piles by each tub, bagged up our collective trash, and even took our compostable/recyclables back home. We did our best to make it easier on Housekeeping to turn over our room. We even checked out an hour early, 9am instead of 10am. We also waited patiently earlier during our stay to deal with scheduled unit sprinkler system inspection. A few minutes stated on the phone ended up being 90 minutes. Other guests were loud or heavy footed, even after so-called quiet hours. I get it that it's a resort getaway, not a library. Lots of unattended kids on the elevator, running in the hallways. Entire groups taking up communal areas for hours on end. Enough said. Despite attending an owner's meeting last summer at another location, I had to attend yet another one here. Informative, but yet again, I left feeling not quite so VIP because I stood firm to not purchase additional credits and upgrades. Costly enough with owner dues and fees as is. Would I stay here again? Probably not. Other WorldMark properties along the WA & OR coasts have better upkeep. I've stayed at many WM sites in Canada, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii. This was the first time so many anomalies stood out. Good to get away from it all to decompress and explore, but definitely glad to return home.

I've been camping for 40 years and I've never had an unprofessional encounter such as the one I had with you. You lack professionalism, social skills and the ability to hold a conversation with someone who does not agree with you. You were so angry and out of control, I seriously thought you were gonna throw hands. This place is dirty, the staff and their lack of willingness to assist with very minor requests, water spigot broke, water everywhere. You guys couldn't have cared less. Your rig is parked on gravel but your front yard opens up a sand pit. No way to avoid tracking tons of sand in your RV. Can't imagine who thought that was a good idea. WIFI is non existent, good luck connecting. Having visitors is a nightmare.
