We wanted to check out Astoria Oregon and several Lewis and Clark visitor centers in both Washington and Oregon. One of best decisions we made, was to stay HERE at the Seaview cottages! WE LOVED IT HERE! They are old cottages that have been 'lovingly' renovated with modern fixtures. VERY clean with everything you want in a room: coffee maker, fridge, microwave. The first Monday of the month is a tsunami siren test (ask me how we found out). It's reasonable, close to Long Beach with it's various stores and restaurants and RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the Seaview Biscuit Company! I have a separate review for that, and YES, you have to try it! The Seaview Cottages is a popular place and because of that, we had two different rooms during our three day stay. One night with double queen beds, and two nights with a king bed. Spent a week here, off season, and I highly recommend it! The staff were welcoming and helpful, the rooms are freshly renovated and comfortable. The location is very convenient. It has a little quirky charm, but not at the expense of comfort. Guests at the cottages get a discount at the Seaview Biscuit Company which is located on the property. Astoria has always been our go-to, but thanks to the ginormous beer festival, we ended up in Seaview. We got the last unit at The Seaview Cottages. The owner (I think) was so accommodating, allowing the room to be converted to pet-friendly for our stay. It was probably one of their smallest rooms, but the space was very well planned, clean, cute, and super cozy! They gave us restaurant recommendations that were perfect, and the beautiful ocean is just a short, easy walk. We will definitely return! So much for Astoria being our go-to! read more

Great place to stay! Richard was very friendly as he checked us in - quick and informative. He also runs the biscuit restaurant that was 20 feet from our front door. It's not a "ritzy" place to eat - upside is that all the food is really "to go". And the flavor was good. The cottages are small, the bathrooms are small, but that was a bonus to me. It was just big enough for me, my wife, and our dog. It had a full kitchen (NOT a kitchenette; it has a full oven!) and we cooked our own meal one night we were there. Very short drive to the beach, to gas stations, and to quite a few restaurants (for the size of the town). Bottomline: Our new favorite place to vist! read more

This quaint little row of cottages is an amazing stay. The owner, Richard, is kind, super helpful and welcoming. They completely renovated these older beach units, creating a perfect little "tiny home" village, along with grassy areas, picnic tables and bbq's. Inside, you have everything you need for making yourself a nice dinner (even a small oven). Bed was comfy, linens clean and water hot. We had the BEST stay and were seconds from the beach. We were there with our dog for 2 nights; very cozy stay, we enjoyed it very much. Our room had a microwave, fridge, coffee pot, toiletries, even a box fan! The bathroom ceiling was very low, I'm 5'3" and could not lift my arms straight up at the lowest part but could at the highest, but that didn't bother either one of us but if you're tall you might want to make sure you ask about the ceiling height. The bathroom had no shelves or counter space so you couldn't put your personal toiletries or clothing in there. Still giving 5 stars because we enjoyed it THAT much! read more

This set of cottages is the cleanest and prettiest along the main road. They are located minutes away from downtown as well as the grocery store. We stayed in cottage fifteen and it had a lovely kitchenette as well as a living room separate from a queen sized bedroom. The owner of the place told us how he is in the process of renovating the entire property and it is easy to see the love he has put into the place. I recommend getting a reservation here while you can, as I expect this place to be the trendy stop for visitors to Cape Disappointment and Long Beach. read more

My wife and I stayed here 1 night while our daughter and kids camped at Cape Disappointment. I INCLUDED PHOTOS OF ALL THE UNITS. It's a pretty little complex full of like Tiny Homes. They all seem to have been recently remodeled. We stayed in #7 which shares a wall with another unit. I didn't notice any noise from the adjoining unit. It's tastefully decorated. The ceiling was lower than normal and I'm only 5'7". I'm not claustrophobic so that's a good thing! The bedside lights go on by touching the top of the base. Keep touching to increase the brightness. It took a bit to figure out how to turn them on! The small fridge has a freezer section that is bigger than I've seen in any fridge. They have a fish cleaning station in the back and also bbq grills. The bathroom was pretty small but adequate. They put a metal stand in the shower which was annoying as there isn't much room in there The water from the shower tended to go on the floor. There was no blow dryer. The bed was comfortable enough. The floors seemed like vinyl planking but walking on the floor was tricky as the whole floor slopes towards the walk opposite the bed. I actually bumped into the wall on the way to the bathroom!! Crazy! They lease out a Mexican restaurant called El Farito next door. It seemed nice. Checkout was easy by texting. No card key to return! Hopefully they change the 4 number code for each different guest!! Oh yeah, one thing is you can drive right to the beach on the street next to the cottages. read more

Very friendly staff. The guy at the front desk called us a few hours before check-in time to remind us. Room is very clean and cozy. Noce bed and linen. Suchhhh an a great find and place to stay. I dont know what it was like before but it was just what I needed. A warm and comfy unit and bed, small galley kitchen, everything clean and stocked, check in was fast and friendly, has its own parking spot, noise level was pretty low and its right across from beach access without breaking the bank. Enjoyed my stay the last weekend in July. My third visit in 3 years and they happily accommodate myself and my group of friends. The property is laid out perfect for our needs with a picnic courtyard and bbq grills. Upgrades to the grounds over the last couple years have improved the accessibility of the cottages and the new acquisition of the Seaview Biscuit Company next door totally elevates the convenience of the stay. The employees are considerate and friendly and the maintain the cottages at high level. This place has been the highlight of my last few summer weekend getaways. read more

Wow! What a great place! My husband and 2 boys stayed here on a road trip and it was by far the best place we have stayed in a long time. It was so charming and relaxing. When we arrived, the owner gave me the breakdown on all the wonderful things to do in the area and was so friendly and inviting. On our way into our cottage, housekeeping noticed that we had kids with us and asked if we needed extra sheets and pillows. I never even had to ask! They saw we might need them and jumped on it. In the morning when I went to the lobby, the owner greats me with a smile and offered me a fresh cup of coffee. The customer service here is amazing. We LOVE taking our dogs with us on vacation and these cottages made it as easy as it could be! The front desk was so accommodating and understanding when we couldn't make the 5pm check in time and was able to text us all of our check in info. The cottages are about a one mile walk from beach entrances and are very well maintained. We just stayed in a studio with two pups and it was perfect! Would absolutely go back here! My friends and sisters brought my twin sisters and I here for our birthday this winter and it was great. The cabins are extremely clean, nothing in the cottage was spacious too. We had cable TV in our room and a working heater. The bathroom was nice and clean, the only critique I have about the room/bathroom is that the ceiling is the bathroom is extremely short. My twin sister is 5'10 and she hasn't fond of the height.
