My Rheem Furnace was not turning on after I turned on the thermostat...didn't hear the normal click after I slid the button on. I thought maybe the batteries were dead, so I installed new batteries into thermostat. Well that didn't solve anything. So I called Hey Neighbor, they asked me a few questions about he brand of our furnace and about how old it was. Then they scheduled an appointment, within 3 days. My call was on a Friday and they came out early Monday morning, to fix it...They sent me a text message with tracking info so you know when he will arrive. Once here he ran it through a diagnostic test and said it was a few possible things. He took out the thermo coupler & flame sensor and cleaned the soot off both of them. Reinstalled them and then installed a Honeywell thermostat. Since our Rheem furnace is high efficiency and a 2 stage he recommended a certain one, I agreed. New technology. He slid the thermostat button on, it clicked and came to life. He ran it thru 3 heat on cycles and 3 air conditioning on cycles, to make sure that worked as well. All totaled he was here about an hour. So this service call cost me $25.00 on a credit card for the service call through Dominion East Ohio Gas Company Furnace Program. I've had this service since 2014. Has a monthly charge of $11.95 on my gas bill. Dominion is contracted with Hey Neighbor for Furnace & Air Conditioning Services. I feel this service is well worth the money paid into it for a knowledgeable professional to service your equipment. I wouldn't hesitate to call Hey Neighbor again. Thanks Darnell. read more

Never call this company, I should've sued for fraud put a unit in, way oversized & had me put my new golf cart in on deal. Went to his home & got some of money returned. Didnt put right fuse in & settings on tstat were never done right. The copper solder pipe was crimped, too big... all installation team, to estimator were crooks & hope justice prevails what they've done to many. I pray, in Jesus name. hey neighbor heating and cooling came out to our home on friday night and fixed our hvac system. Our Lennox furnace was blowing cold air when they arrived now it is blowing hot air. they fixed it within 30 minutes of getting here. thank to these guys for the fast service and having the parts on there truck to fix our gas furnace. read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE RUN BUSINESS!!!!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. They were just out to fix my furnace after being sourced out by homeserve and after their technician made the mistake of forgetting the piece that was supposed to be fixed i was supposed to get a call about coming out to replace it and a quote. Well I received a call about it and since I wasnt replacing the furnace or the chimney liner it would not be beneficial for them to come back out and fix the part WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED IN THE FIRST PLACE AND WAS NOT CAUSE THEIR TECHNICIAN FORGOT because they have to have a minimum of $400 for them to come back out. Then after I explained it was their guys fault Bob says they apologize and will send someone out to fix it at no charge to me. Fast forward a couple days and Tom calls me saying they have a quote for me on chimney liner and flue pipe after I was already given a quote the other day by Bob. Tom says Bob should have never offered that to me at no cost and proceeds to give me a new quote on it. Just absolutely horrible communication and I will never seek them for work again read more

Fun fact. The guys from Ron's Hey Neighbor in Louisville are careless and UNPROFESSIONAL. The guys who came out last week to check our furnace said that it had multiple issues and would cost $1200-1600 to repair. One of the issues was the gas pressure regulator was bad. He said it had no output pressure. We decided to get a second opinion. So when the new tech, from a different company, looks at the furnace he notices it has a limit switch thats tripped(Ron's guy didn't find that issue). Todays technician resets the switch. The furnace starts to kick on and the valve is hissing as gas is spitting out. He immediately shuts the furnace down. Looks at me and says thank god the furnace never kicked on. The tech from Ron's left the check valve out. If our furnace had kicked on, our house would have exploded! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, DANGEROUS, AND LIKELY TO HURT SOMEBODY. read more

Tech that showed up did not give a name,no receipt,and did nothing. All we needed was pilot light relighted.He went right to heat echanger and wrote with marker and said cracked,and would not light pilot.Was here about 8 min and charged us $75. We even asked about how much a new furnace would run his answer was that's not my department you'll have to find out yourselves (good salesman too) We contacted another company They came and checked heat exchanger by wiping it clean and found no cracks replaced thermo coupler and lighted pilot. I would not recommend. I called to have a/c tune-up which the appointment was scheduled over 2 weeks out. They were supposed to show up today 6/27 and when I called they said left me a message that they would not be able to come until July 5. This company is less-than-professional. After numerous phone calls, and excuses, and more excuses, our HVAC system is not fixed - after 4 WEEKS OF RECORD-BREAKING HEAT. From Ron the owner, all the way down to those answering the phone, they lack the professionalism to schedule correctly, do as they promised and show up on time. No wonder the good people from this company leave and start their own business. Any other business can do MUCH better in both quality and customer service. Absolutely a piece of sh-t! Worst human being in the world. If i could've given him a negative 1,000 I would have!!. I lost power in my furnace, he came out , $80. To walk in the door, and said after 5 minutes that the replacement part would cost a huge amount. I of course could not afford it, so he left without regard to it being January and cold in my house!! After he left I searched for the part on Amazon and found the part for 10 times ( and I'm not joking) LESS than what he was pricing it at!I know there is a price for labor, but a half hour job would have netted him 95% of what he bought the part for, something like $850 an hour!! No one is worth that wage! He's a liar and a cheat. I have 3 children, he didn't even care about them or what we would face with the cold weather! I made an appointment to have my furnace checked and they were running a special of $74.42 for a furnace exam. During the inspection of my furnace they called me down and showed me a little motor type looking thing that he had to tighten up because it was loose. When they came upstairs to give me the bill instead of $74.42 it was $124.07. He charged me for tightening up that part. I was a little upset and told him that he should tell the customers beforehand when you are doing something that you will be charging extra for. They were very friendly and polite but the way they work their business makes me feel they're a little shady. I would not recommend this company and I will not call them again. read more

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this Mickey Mouse operation! I wish I would have. I worked with a relative of a salesman who referred me to this business. Bob came to my house and advised me I needed a new furnace and to call the office to schedule. They were to arrive on a Monday in December. We had no heat and were desperate. We at least had a wood burner that did an amazing job. I took off work and the office called stating the installer had a family emergency and couldn't be there that day, but would be there the next day. Understood-those things happen. The following day, two men arrived and went to work. One was wiring the thermostat and the other installing the furnace. After about 90 minutes, I could hear the older yelling at the younger to wire it correctly and that he was ignorant. About an hour later, both came and said they weren't the normal installer and that they could not finish the job and the regular installer would be there the following day. I took off a THIRD day and the installer arrived, went to the basement and stated that he didn't have the right parts and it would be too late to start the job after he went to the parts store. I took off a FOURTH day. They arrived and installed the furnace. After it was completed, he advised me about the thermostat and furnace and informed that I would need to plug in the condensate pump when I turned on the air conditioner in summer. When summer came, there was no cold air. We called. They stated we needed to do a "start up" and it was Memorial Day so they would be there tomorrow. My wife took off work and no show. She called and they said they hadn't been informed by whomever took the call the day prior, but they would be out there the following day. I took that day off-no call/no show. She called and they said they would be there the next day between 9-12. I took off half a day from work. At 1130 the next day, we called and were told that the tech was coming from Atwater and would be there in about twenty minutes. An HOUR later, a young man and apologized he was late because he had to come from Streetsboro. He looked at the system and said he could not start it up because it was not responding to his adjustments. I contacted the salesman who came back to the house-another half day missed from work. The condensate pump should not have to be plugged in -it should be wired. The heat pump hadn't worked ALL winter which is why our electric bills were astronomical. He said it could be done until the temp reached 50 degrees. But later said the pump should have been working all winter. When I said that he mentioned 50 degrees, he said that's correct--basically, who's on first conversation where he did nothing but talk in circles. He advised that we should have told the company we needed a start up because they sent someone who didn't know how. THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED A STARTUP when I called! I also said that I had a friend who used to install for another company, look at the system and apologize for being taken for a ride. The salesman stated, "That's a bitter competitor-we stab each other in the back when we don't get the job. That's what we do." After the meaningless discussion of him talking in circles and trying to smooth it all out, he said he would have someone come on Monday as this was a Friday and he would give us a few filters for our trouble. Monday-no call/no show. I took off work. Tuesday morning my wife called and was told that they would be out that afternoon. Again I took half day-they did not come. I called and my wife called. Wednesday, they came and wired the condensate pump and got the system started up. There are places where there is putty in a 3/4 inch gap! I realize I have an old farm house which is why I thought nothing about having to plug in a pump-or make concessions for tape and putty. He said if we have any other issues, it may need to be rewired for fall and that I am to call if it is not working right. So I can miss another 10 DAYS of work? read more

Was a great experience from the guys at hey neighbor. we needed our furnace repaired here at our home in wooster. they had the parts we needed on there truck and fixed our furnace faster than you could blink an eye. Please never call this company for your heating needs. We had no heat so I called them on a whim and while the secretary was awesome at setting a housecall up for me, I was disappointed at how unprofessional everything else was. The serviceman barely checked out my equipment and told me that one piece needed replaced then after "double checking" my equipment stated that everything was shot including wiring and tubing. I proceeded to have the salesman come out and was even more disappointed with his service. The estimate for all new everything was astronomical plus he took two personal phone calls while writing up my offer and explaining things to me. I got a second opinion the same day from a different company and they took time to see if my equipment was under warantee which it is! They also found that it was a wiring issue and were able to bypass the current wiring and give me the contact # of an electrician to finalize the job. $100 as opposed to $11,000! I felt victimized by Hey Neighbor Ron the furnace guy. Please never use this company. They just want your money and know people are desparate in the middle of winter with kids and no heat! read more

This company makes sure your furnace doesn't do what my neighbors did.. broke down and cost a small fortune to repair. Mine, due to yearly maintenance keeps running and will not break down in subzero weather conditions. The repairmen are experts and find repairs that they don't even charge more to fix. Ron walked me through changing my batteries in my thermostat and by my surprise the heating system started working again.
